It's May and it's time for a sketch challenge!

Use the sketch to create your next NND project.

You have until Friday, May 29, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Get creative with this fun sketch. Use the center square to hold your favorite image or sentiment. Try using multiple colors or patterned papers for the layers behind it. Cards for any theme or occasion are welcome as long as they match the sketch. Don't forget you can turn the sketch sideways for more options. Now let's take a peek at the IPC teams' cards.

Amy Tollner creates a bright, cheerful card just purr-fect for the book lover in one's life. She uses one of the feline images from the Newton's Book Club stamp and coordinating die set with papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. She adds a bit of sparkle using the lavender paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment and makes it into a banner using the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set. Fabulously fun!

Claire Lamb uses the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp and coordinating die set to send birthday wishes to a loved one. She uses a trio of festive papers from the Birthday Time paper pad. To create her panels and banner, she uses dies from the Bookmark II and the A7 Frames & Banners die sets. Such a darling card!

Danni Bindel opts for a floral card using the flower image from the Little Lilies stamp and coordinating die set. She adds papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad with dies from the Frames & Flags die set. Just love how she uses just lavender and greens to create such a beautiful card!

Debbie Owens couldn't decide whether to make a feline or a canine card, so she made one of each. For her feline birthday card, she uses the music-lovin' Newton from the Newton's Mix Tape stamp set. She adds more musical touches using the Music Notes stencil to create her backdrop. She creates a banner using the yellow-striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad. Her finishing touches include a margarita from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set and a birthday hat from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp.

For her canine version, Deb uses the puppy from the Puppy's Mix Tape stamp set with a margarita from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. She uses the yellow-striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad as well as papers from the New Retro paper pack. That pink shimmery panel uses a Retro Mix Toner Front. Her banner uses a die from the Banner Trio die set. Two wonderful birthday cards for someone 21 years or older!

For our final card this week, Kelly Santi is showcasing tulips from the Tulips stamp and coordinating die set as well as the Easter Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating set. Don't you just love how you can mix and match different stamp sets for a wonderfully unique card? She uses papers from the Bright Basics and the Springtime paper pads. She uses dies from the Essential Tags, the Basic Frames, and the Sea Borders die sets. A bright and beautiful card filled with such lovely tulips!
