Inky Paws Challenge #109 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas project!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

'Tis the season by Becky features Snowfall, Fancy Edges Tag, and Christmas Haul by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates wrapping paper for her "present" card. She uses the Snowfall stencil with red foil and her Minc machine. She adds red ribbon with white stitching on the edges. For the present's tag, she cuts her tag using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She stamps the sentiment from the Christmas Haul stamp set as well as the present-laden lady. She colors the image in red, greens, and blues and finishes with a big red ribbon bow!  Darling!


Merry Everything by Bobbi features Winter Woofs, Sentiments of the Season, and Gingham by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski shows us the magic of gingham with her trio of holiday tags!  She creates her backgrounds using the Gingham Stencil. She uses the big sentiments from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set. She adds the super darling puppy images from the Winter Woofs stamp set. She adds gingham ribbon bows at the top of her tags. Her use of red, white, and black makes for super festive holiday cards! 


Deck the halls from Debbie features Caroling Newton, Framework, Frames & Flags, Ornamental Wishes, and Speech Bubbles by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a darling Christmas card using nontraditional colors. She begins with a black card base and adds an olive green gingham frame using the Framework die set. She then uses the Music stencil and pink deco foil to create a textured layer which she die cuts using a die from the
Frames & Flags die set. She colors the trio of kitties from the Caroling Newton stamp set in olive green, pink, and teal and adheres with dimensional foam.  She then heat embosses the sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set and die cuts using the Speech Bubbles die set.  Fun colors for a holiday card!


Boo!  Hoo!  by Diane features Cascading Stars, Land Borders, and Fence by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates a bright, delightful Halloween card!  She creates her background using the Cascading Stars stencil. She used texture paste and sprinkled Holographic powder on it while it was wet (but didn't use a heat gun).  Love the sparkle!  She then die cut the fence in white using the Fence die set. She added grass using the Land Borders die set.  Those cute critters are from the 
Boo Hoo stamp and die set. Just love those little speech bubbles!


Eek!  by Sue features Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, Pick-a-Pumpkin, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this dark, mysterious card using lots of black layers! She uses the Framework die to create her postage-stamp edge and scallop-edge layers.  She uses  Pick-a-Pumpkin die set to cut Jack-o-lantern faces multiple times on one of her black layers. She then heat embosses the sentiment in white using the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set. She adds dimensional tape to adhere to an orange-glittery backdrop.  Spook-tacular!

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, November 1, 2019 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Becky Noelle's card will have you singing "Christmas in the Caribbean" with this darling Christmas card!  First she creates her round card base and does a lot of masking!  She adds a bit of ocean in the foreground and adds the sandman from the Sun Soaked Christmas stamp set. She adds the palm trees with the stockings hanging between them again using the  Sun Soaked Christmas stamp set. What a fun way to celebrate Christmas!



Happy birthday by Bobbi features Pumpkin Latte and Birthday Essentials by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates the perfect pumpkin patch with her star-filled night sky !  She frames her sky with falling leaves from the Pumpkin Latte stamp set. She stamps a lot of pumpkins and hand draws in the grass around them. She adds her pumpkin-laden girl from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and die set.  She adds a speech bubble using the Speech Bubbles die set and stamps the pumpkin spice sentiment. To finish, she adds the birthday sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set. Spectacular!

'Tis the season by Debbie features Caroling Newton and Snow Globe Scenes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens keeps it very CAS with this sweet one-layer card. She stamps her background scene using elements from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set. She then adds the little mouse from the Caroling Newton stamp set. She finishes by distressing light blue for her sky and adding snow to the ground and trees using Nuvo Crystal Drops.


Diane's card features Newton's Thanksgiving, Newton's Antics, and Speech Bubbles by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
We all know cats sleep away most of their lives, but have you ever wondered what they dream about? Well, Diane Morales shows us with her darling card with a Thanksgiving twist. She begins with her card base and pattern paper in colors of fall. She adds the kitty from Newton's Antics stamp set and colors the box in green for a pop of color to coordinate with the veggies on the plate. Using the Speech Bubbles die set, she adds two bubbles and places food images from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set. Now we know, cats dream of turkey and pie!


Happy Halloween by Sue features Newton's Boo-tiful Night and Halloween Trio by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this Halloween card in grays, creams, and teals, and it is just beautiful!  She repeatedly stamps the Happy Halloween sentiment from the Halloween Trio stamp set in dark gray. She lightly distresses over the words in a lighter gray to give her card a shadowy effect. Using the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp and die set, she selects the kitty in a pumpkin patch image. She colors the pumpkins in creams and teals, and her little kitty in gray. She pops her image using dimensional tape.  She scatters some enamel dots to finish her card! Lovely!

For her background, she places the black layer between the red card base and the red stripe. She places another white flag on the red stripe to pull her elements together. Her red and white gingham bow is a perfect touch to this classy card!

Amanda creates a spectacular Christmas card packed full of glitter, glitz, and glam! She begins by mixing up some wonderful pattern papers that create a busy setting for her gift-laden lady. She creates a green gingham tag and adds a glittery stripe at the bottom. She adds the lady from the Christmas Haul stamp and die set and colors them in fun colors pulled from the papers. She adheres using dimensional tape. To add more glam, she uses Glossy Accents throughout the card!

Best witches by Amy T. features Witchy Newton, Fancy Edges Tag, and Flying Bats by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy T. designs a spookily cute Halloween card. She distresses a beautiful background in purples and blues. She then uses the Flying Bats stencil with black glitter paste. Using the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create a black tag and adds her sentiment by embossing in white. She stamps and dies the witchy-cat image from the Witchy Newton stamp and die set. She places her tag on top of a purple glitter banner and black stripe. The result is a fantastic card!

Happy pumpkin spice season by Meghan features Pumpkin Latte by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Meghan creates a fabulous coffee-themed card using a color scheme of cream, orange, and brown. Her selection of papers with their different patterns work wonderfully together. She adds the pumpkin laden girl from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and die set which she colors wonderfully with a splash of yellow. She adds a pumpkin and latte to balance her card.

Saddle up and celebrate by Amy T. features Newton Rides West, Fancy Edges Tag, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy T. creates this amazing western card. She uses the smaller stamps from the Newton Rides West stamp set to make her background. She heat embosses them in gold and lightly distresses the edges for an old, worn look. She creates her tag using Fancy Edges Tag die set, embosses the sentiment in gold. She adds her handsome cowboy from the Newton Rides West stamp and die set. She adds a twine bow to the top. For her stripes she uses the same gold paper for her stripe and a red bandana paper banner using the Frames & Flags die set.

Trick-or-treat by Lori features Boo Crew (retired) by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Lori delights us with this card full of Halloween goodness. Her selection of orange and black Halloween papers are super festive. She distresses her tag in light orange and stamps the mummy bear from the Boo Crew stamp set (retired). She adds an orange and white bow to her tag. Boo-tiful!

Inky Paws Challenge #108 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge!

Create a project using the sketch.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:


Sue T. brings us this softly colored autumn. Beginning with an ivory card base, she adds  a combination of fall pattern papers. She stamps a bunch of leaves and sentiment using the Autumn Mice  stamp set on her tan tag using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She colors her leaves in oranges, yellows, and greens. She then adds the mouse chances the leaves from the Autumn Mice stamp and die set. To finish her card, she adds an orange gingham ribbon on her tag. Darling!


Have a beary Merry Christmas by Becky features Winston's Home for Christmas, Evergreens, and Frame & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amid a background of evergreen trees, Becky Noelle has Winston in his teal-colored jalopy from the  Winston's Home for Christmas stamp set driving home with his holiday tree!  Those evergreens were made using the Evergreens stencil. She then adds a pink plaid stripe that coordinates with Winston's scarf. She then uses the Frame & Flags die set to cut a banner on which she stamps the sentiment. The snowflakes she added by splattering white paint add the perfect touch!




Grateful by Bobbi features Beautiful Leaves and Thankful Thoughts by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
This bold, bright, beautiful card by Bobbi Lemanski combines the colors of autumn with navy blue!  For her background, she blends Distress Inks and splatters water and white ink on top.  She heat embossed and stamped the leaf images using the Beautiful Leaves stamp set on navy paper. She also stamps the leaves in black, colors, and die cuts using the coordinating Beautiful Leaves die set. For her tag, she uses an actual seed packet on which she stamps the grateful sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set and adds blue twine for the bow. 

Hey there pumpkin by Debbie features Newton's Boo-tiful Night, Fence, Framework, Fancy Edges tag, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Using a color palette of teals, gray and tan, Debbie Owens designs this darling Halloween card. With a light teal background, she adds an embossed houndstooth tan layer die cut using the Framework die set. An ivory tag is added using the Fancy Edges Tag die set on which she adds the pumpkin sentiment from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set. She opts to place the stripes from the sketch in front of the tag instead of behind. She uses the Fence die set as well as the Land Borders die set for the grass. For her main attraction, Debbie selects the pumpkin trio image from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp set and colors the pumpkins in gray, tan, and teals. Her gray, striped kitty looks darling peeking out from behind the pumpkin stack!

Happy pumpkin spice season by Diane features Pumpkin Latte, Plaid, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales uses orange and teals for this spectacular fall card!  She creates her background using the Plaid stencil set. Look closely and you'll see a bit of shimmer in those stripes!  She then adds a black panel and adds a teal banner using the Frame & Flags stamp set. She adds a scallop-edged oval on which she adds the girl and a couple of pumpkins from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and die set.  Fabulous!

She then uses the Framework die set to die cut her black and white polka dotted layer in which she pops up using dimensional tape. She adds a black stripe and a banner using Halloween pattern paper. For her tag, she  uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set and pattern paper. For her focal point she colors this duo of puppies from the Happy Howl-oween stamp and die set. She stamps the sentiment and die cuts using the Speech Bubbles die set.  A wonderful way to celebrate Halloween!



Every year I fall for autumn leaves by Becky features Pumpkin Patch, Fall-ing for You, and Fancy Edges Tag by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle designs this incredible green background by using the Pumpkin Patch stencil. Her pumpkins are beautiful! She splatters some white accents to add more interest. She adds more texture to her card by adding two different twine and ribbon. She uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create her tag. She stamps the sentiment from the Fall-ing for You stamp set on the tag and adds a twine bow for her final touch. Wow!



Big Wishes by Bobbi features Holding Happiness by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski brings us this fantastic feminine birthday card in pretty shades of pink. She creates her background by splattering watercolor in pinks, yellows, and grays. She adds layers of scalloped-edge stripes in coordinating colors. She creates a light gray tag and adds the sentiment and flowers using the Holding Happiness stamp and die set. For main attraction, she stamps and colors the girl with her overly big present from the Holding Happiness stamp and die set. A bit of ribbon and a few sequins completes this festive card.

Trick of Treat by Debbie features Flamingo Flock, Spooky Skeletons, Fancy Edges Tag, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens combines orange and black with a flock of flamingos for a fun, festive Halloween card. She begins by adding an orange scalloped-edged layer from the Frames & Flags die set and places it atop a black card base. She then white embosses the flamingos from the Flamingo Flock stamp set on black. She fussy cuts them and adheres to the orange layer. She adds an orange stripe and black banner using the Frames & Flags die set. She then die cuts the tag using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She adds the flamingo from the Spooky Skeletons stamp set and a scattering of sequins.






Happy meow-oween by Diane features Argyle, Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates a stunning purple background using the Argyle Stencil Set with the glittery stitches. She adds a black strip with a lime green banner using the Frame & Flags die set. For her tag she stamps little spider webs in two corners. She adds her little sweet kitten with her witch's hat from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set. She finishes by stamping the sentiment and popping it up with foam tape.

Fall breeze, autumn leaves by Andrea W. features Autumn Mice by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Andrea W.  begins this fabulous card with a dark brown card base. She selects the perfect pattern paper.  That plaid has all the challenge colors in it!  She adds a wood grain layer that has the sentiment from the Autumn Mice stamp set stamp on it. Using the the Autumn Mice stamp and die set, Andrea adds several leaves to the ground and has her mouse chasing the ones still falling. This card has such a fun sense of movement!

Savor life's small moments by Cat features Autumn Mice by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Cat creates this beautiful CAS card beginning with an ivory base. She masks off her white layer and distresses the center in a soft ivory hue. She adds the sentiment from the Autumn Mice stamp set in brown. Her mouse image form the  Autumn Mice stamp set looks so cute atop his orange pumpkin with the ivory pumpkin and leaves below!

Be thankful for the little things by Michelle features Autumn Mice by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Michelle Bala creates a long, skinny card which allows her to feature all four of the darling mice from the Autumn Mice stamp set.  Her orange-blended background with the white paint splatters makes for a perfect place for those mice to play. She adds several leaves which look like they are floating in the autumn breeze. She adds the sentiment  from the Autumn Mice stamp set on a light brown plague.

You're the pick of the patch by Amy T. features Newton's Boo-tiful Night by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy T.'s card will have you heading to the nearest pumpkin patch to pick the perfect pumpkin!  She begins with a dark pumpkin-colored card base on which she adds the jack-o-lantern pattern paper. She adds a green plaid rectangular layer. For her central element, she creates an ivory rectangle on which she adds the kitty and sentiment from the Newton's Boo-tiful Night stamp and die set. The trio of jack-o-lanterns pulls all the elements together.  Andrea finishes with orange jute and a sprinkling of sequins.

Fall breeze, autumn leaves by Irene features Sweater Weather, Autumn Newton, and What a Hoot by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Dand93 (Irene) creates this CAS fall scene. She begins by adding two vertical stripes in green. She adds the tree branch from the What a Hoot stamp and die set and adds a lonely leave that's about to drop.  She stamps the sentiment from the Autumn Newton stamp set as well as a couple
 more leaves. From the Sweater Weather stamp set, Winston, in his finest orange and green sweater, takes center stage.  Utterly adorable!
