Danni loves the bold striking colors of Arlene's card featuring the margarita image from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. That delicious-looking drink really stands out! Cheers!

Debbie's FAVE

Debbie loved the clean crispness of Kristi H.'s card featuring the chef Newton from the retired Newton's Kitchen stamp set. The combination of papers gives her card an elegant-restaurant vibe. Wonderfully done!

Kelly's FAVE

Kelly loves Carrianne Banul's cute design and lovely color combo.  Carrianne uses the retired Smitten Kittens stamp set with a fabulous selection of papers from the Love & Meows paper pad. Such a wonderfully designed card!

Amy's FAVE

Amy loved Sabra Gerdes's darling umbrellas from the retired  Umbrella Pals stamp and coordinating die set. In addition, Sabra mixes and matches papers from the Springtime and the Birthday Party paper pads to create this bright, fun card!  

Claire's FAVE

Claire loves how Tracie paired the trio of chickens from the retired Chicken Scratches stamp set with the fence. In addition, the paper selection has such a country vibe. Such a darling card!

Inky Paws Challenge #238 Week 1

 

 Welcome to Inky Paws'  

March Challenge!

For March, we have a spring theme to play with!

You have four weeks to get creative with showers and flowers using your NND Products!

You have from Monday, March 3, 2025 to Friday, March 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month theme-Showers & Flowers-has so many possibilities.  Wedding cards? Easter cards? Welcome spring cards?  Let's check out what the IPC team dreamed up:

Amy Tollner's trio of kitties (Newton's Rainy Day Trio stamp and coordinating die set) in their pink and lavender raincoats are just too cute! She adds some big blooms in the background using the daffodil paper from the Spring Blooms paper pad. Look closely and you'll spy some subtle raindrops made using the Raindrops stencil. The scallop edging was made using the Frames & Flags die set. A seriously adorable friendship card!

Claire Lamb's bold, bright flowers are just gorgeous! These blooms are from the Floral Delights stamps and coordinating die set. Claire adds a fuschia panel that really pops against the Kraft card base. Her stitched panels were made using the Basic Frames and the Frames & Tags die sets. An amazing card to send encouraging words!

Crystal Minkler's lavender card is filled with spring goodness! She pulls those beautiful papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad and creates a subtle curve using the Land Borders die set. She adds a vellum stitched circle (Circle Frames die set). She places those adorable boots from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp and coordinating die set atop her vellum. Her kitty and little ducky are just precious!

Danni Bindel creates a smooshed background that looks so much like rain. She adds two of the darling umbrellas from the Umbrella Pals stamp and coordinating die set. Her stitched layers were created using dies from the Frames & Flags and the Basic Frames die sets. A darling card to brighten someone's day!

Debbie Owens mixes it up with her pastel floral background using the Petite Flowers stencil in a rainbow of colors.  She then uses the Fractured Card Layout die to create the black border.  She adds her feline from the Newton's Umbrella stamp set and the canine from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp set with their colorful umbrellas. She adds the 'Spring is Here!' sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set. Her card depicts the saying, "April showers bring May flowers!"

Don't forget you now have until March 28, 2025 to get 

creative with the theme-Showers & Flowers.

Create a project using the colors: pastel pink, pale yellow, baby blue and light lavender.

Becky Noelle creates a scallop-edged round card filled with Easter goodness.  Her light blue distressed background showcases the bunnies from the Hop Into Spring stamp set. Becky's pastel eggs are a fabulous way to celebrate the holiday!

Crystal Komera has created a sweet hello with this stunning sky scene! She used our 

Newton Dreams of Paris stamp and die set to add that kitty in his hot air ballon in front of the colorful inked sky! She adds some cloudy edges along the top and  bottom using our Sky Borders die set and adds more colorful clouds with vellum. 

This trio of sweet ballerinas from the The Nutcracker Squeak stamp set look fabulous in their pastel tutus!  Debbie Owens places them is a field of flowers using a flower stamp from the Woodland Spring stamp set. She adds a blue sky with fluffy embossed clouds from the Cloudy Sky stencil. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to cut the scallop-edged border and banner on which she adds a sentiment from the Easter Lily stamp set.  

Diane Morales puts the Raindrop stencil to good use using purple and blue inks to create the lightly distressed background. She pulls out the raccoon umbrella image from the Umbrella Pals stamp and die set and colors in shades of pinks and yellows. The lavender scallop-edged card base (Frames & Flags die set) make for a wonderful card base. 

Sue T. designs a sweet Easter card by stamping several flower images as well as hearts from the Cottage Garden stamp set in pastels.  Using the Simply Seasonal stamp set, she stamps the Happy Easter greeting. She adds strips of coordinating papers at the bottom and die cuts using the Frames & Flags die set to create the scallop edges.  A sprinkling of gems adds a wonderful touch of glam!

Sue T. creates this lovely spring card by die cutting the main layer using the Framework die. She cuts a circle in it and adds a rainy background.  For her main attraction, she adds the little girl from the Loads of Bloom stamp and die set. She adds a strip of floral pattern paper and a splattering of flowers and enamel dots. Such a wonderful, spring card!

Becky Noelle's begins by using Kraft card stock and a strip of white paper in which she adds a trio of bouquets from the Lovely Blooms stamp set look wonderful in their glass jars. She adds a happy birthday sentiment from the Simply Sentimental stamp set. As a final touch, she adds jute twine bows.  What amazing spring inspiration!

 Bobbi Lemanski used distressed inks and splotched water on it to created her watery sky. She adds her little girl in her yellow raincoat from the Loads of Bloom stamp and die set. She adds a little blue bird from the Raccoon Rascals stamp set and sprinkles some flowers on the ground. Wonderful spring card!

Debbie Owens creates a fun slider card!  She begins with a polka-dotted foil background and adds a layer of clouds using the Sky Borders die. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to create the scalloped edges. She adds the sliding owl from the Love Owl-Ways stamp set and adds the froggy umbrella from the Umbrella Pals stamp set. She adds the kitten from the Sending Hugs stamp and die set who is also holding a froggy umbrella. Using the banner from  Frames & Flags die, she creates a banner and adds a sentiment from the Newton's Rainy Day stamp set. For an added touch of spring, she adds potted flowers from the Wagon of Wishes stamp set.

Diane Morales created these delightful bookmarks by distressing the background using the Bokeh stencil. She adds her grass using the Sea Borders die. For her main attraction, she colors the spring critters from the Spring Pile Up stamp and die set.  She then adds her fun tassels! Such a fabulous way to hold one's place in a book!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 

Andrea Shell creates this stunning floral card using the Peony Blooms stamp set. She also uses the
Floral Lace stencil to create the background with the gold embossed sentiment on the black paper.

Debbie Owens makes this fun summer-themed card using the retiring Freshly Squeezed stamp set. She uses the Frames & Flags die set for the background and banners.  Who wouldn't want to buy a glass from the adorable Winston?

Diane Morales creates this fabulous background using Umbrella Pals stamp set that was embossed with white on the dark background. She uses the Sky Borders die set to create the middle border and the Frames & Flags die set for her banners. The bright green frog umbrella finishes the card beautifully!

Emily Lauritzen brings us this lovely card using the Blooming Botanicals stamp set. Her beautifully colored flowers are just striking!  She choose a sentiment from the Peony Blooms stamp set.  Just love all the different patterns Emily incorporates!

Zsofia Molnar uses these bright, bold colors for this darling birthday card. She uses the Holding Happiness stamp set that she colors wonderfully. How fun!
