Inky Paws Challenge #146

               Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This challenge is a:

Color Challenge--


Use the colors--orange, yellow, green, and white.


Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 


You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, April 23, 2021 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Hope your day is loads of fun by Debbie features Newton Cleans Up, Houndstooth, and Slimline Masking Circles & Squares by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking, #catcards, #birthdaycard
 Debbie Owens uses the  Newton Cleans Up stamp set to create a fun birthday card!  She uses the challenge colors with the Slimline Masking Circles & Squares stencil set and Houndstooth stencil to create a trio of squares with a fun pattern. She then adds the overworked kitties from the  Newton Cleans Up stamp set on each square.  She pulls the happy birthday sentiment from the Newton Loves Cake stamp set and combines it with the loads of fun sentiment to pull her fun card together!



Diane Morales uses the challenge colors to create a fabulous background using the Plaid stencil. She then adds a white circular element using the Circles Frames die set and subtly embosses the Floral Roundabout image from the  Floral Roundabout stamp set. She adds grass using the Land Borders die set . She then adds the sweet goat from the Bleat stamp and die set for her main attraction. She adds "You're the G.O.A.T" sentiment on an orange banner and heat embosses the remaining sentiment on the green grass.  A lovely way to celebrate a G.O.A.T friend!

Sue T. uses the Blooming Botanicals stamp set to create her white embossed background.  She then uses the Slimline Masking Circles and Squares stencils to go back and distress a trio of circles in green to create a lovely scalloped element down her card. She then layers on the beautiful yellow  and orange flowers from the Daffodils stamp set and die cut using the coordinating die. A black banner with embossed sentiment adds a dramatic touch to this very elegant card!



Squeeze the day by Amy features Lemon Twist, Slimline Frames & Portholes, Slimline Frames & Windows, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Amy T. inspires with this refreshing citrus card!  Beginning with a bright yellow card base, she adds a white scallop-edged layer using the  Slimline Frames & Portholes die set. She then splatters with yellow, orange and green. She adds a bright yellow frame using the Slimline Frames & Windows die set. In those trio of windows, she adds a slices of lemon, orange, and lime using the Lemon Twist stamp and die set.  Her sentiment was stamped on the ticket using the die from the Framework die set.  The little slivers of peeling add a fun, festive element to this spectacular card!




Warm wishes by Claire features Peony Blooms and Winter Birds by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking
Claire Lamb brings us this elegant card showcasing the Peony Blooms stamp set.  She lightly distresses yellow on her amazing pattern paper.  She adds the wonderfully colored flowers from the  Peony Blooms stamp set. She pulls the sentiment from the Winter Birds stamp set and embosses it in white on black card stock.  She adds gold sequins for a bit of glitz.  Seriously, wow!

A. Rose designs a fabulous card for any outdoor lover!  On yellow and orange layers, she creates a wonderful wilderness background combining the Evergreens and Waves stencils. She adds orange canoes from the Lake Advice stamp set and places them in the waves. Her focal point is the poem from the  Lake Advice stamp set.

Kay Demonbren draws a fabulous laundry room scene and places Newton from the Newton Cleans Up stamp set in a big yellow laundry basket!  The wash, dry, fold, nap sentiment in the wooden frame is a purr-fect touch!

Wishing you a beautiful day by Kimberly C. features Waves & Splashes and Newton's Melon by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Kimberly C. turns the Waves & Splashes stencil on its side to create a bold, vibrant background featuring the challenge colors. A top two layers of vellum, she adds Newton from the Newton's Melon stamp set enjoying a slice of yellow melon. She adds some sequins for some sparkle!

You are always on my mind by Pixiedonna features Newton's Birdbath and Cloudy Sky by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Pixiedonna creates a bright garden scene with Newton from the Newton' Birdbath stamp set playing in the water. Her bright blue sky with the fluffy white clouds from Cloudy Sky stencil looks wonderful against the green grass. The little bit of white splattering on the grass and the fluttering butterflies make the scene complete!

Inky Paws Challenge #121 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:


Yay! Make a wish by Debbie features Holding Happiness and Birthday Essentials by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
It's all about long and skinny with Debbie Owens' cards!  Using different monochromatic color schemes, she uses the ladies from the Holding Happiness stamp set for her CAS style birthday cards. She embosses two sentiments from the Birthday Essentials stamp set.  A strip of black and white diagonal washi tape and some glossy accents provide her finishing touches!


It sucks that I missed your birthday by Diane features Newton Cleans Up and Newton Celebrates by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales has an amazing talent making circle cards, and this one does not disappoint!  Her little scene shows Newton cleaning up after the celebration!  She uses the vacuuming Newton from the Newton Cleans Up stamp and die set and confetti and hat from the Newton Celebrates stamp and die set.  With the punny sentiment, this card will bring a smile!


A little birdie told me by Sue T. features Newton's Birthday Flutter and Clouds by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. wonderfully combines elements for a well-balanced CAS card! She creates a circle full of fluffy clouds using the Clouds stencil. She then stamps the sentiment partially outside the circle and offsetting it with the sweet birdie from the  Newton's Birthday Flutter stamp set.  Totally sweetness!


Have a purr-fect birthday by Becky features Newton's Birthday Bash, Confetti, Clouds, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Becky Noelle's spinner card is packed full of birthday fun!  For her spinning element, she has Newton on his balloon from the Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set twirling around. Her background has light, fluffy balloons from the Clouds stencil with rainbow foil confetti Confetti stencil falling from the sky!  Using the Frames & Flags die set, she stamps her sentiment. 



Have a paw-some birthday by Crystal features Newton's Antics, Fabulous Frenchies, and Balloons by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Crystal Komara's blue monochromatic color scheme is just spectacular! For her circular background, she adds sparkly balloons using the Balloons stencil flying across her blue distressed background, She adds Newton from the Newton's Antics stamp and die set popping out of his box. The birthday hat and blue balloon accents are from the Fabulous Frenchies stamp and die set and are just purr-fectly combined!

She then stamps and fussy cuts an image from the Newton Cleans Up and colors it in the challenge colors. She stamps the sentiment and adds a bit of green bling for a finishing touch.

Diane Morales delights with the amazing lime green background using the Bokeh stencil set. She adds a sampling of ice cream treats in the challenge colors using the Summer Scoops stamp and die set. She stamps her sentiment on a circle to mimic the background pattern. Such a wonderful summer card!


Happy Birthday by Sue features Happy Little Thoughts, Newton's Birthday Flutter, Birthday Essentials, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this precious card by stamping a trio of wreaths from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set. She adds leaves and flowers around the wreaths using the smaller elements from this set.  She adds a sweet bird from the Newton's Birthday Flutter stamp set.  She stamps the birthday sentiment in light brown from the Birthday Essentials stamp set.  She die cuts using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set.


You can never have too much happiness by Becky features Walking Woofs and Paw Prints by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle designs this sweet puppy scene with lime green grass filled with paw prints from the Pawprints stencil.  The puppies who made all those prints come from the Walking Woofs stamp set.

Owl-ways & Forever by Bobbi features Love Owl-ways and Wine a Little by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
What a romantic scene!  Using the colors of the challenge, Bobbi Lemanski creates a lovely picnic blanket on which the love birds from the  Love Owl-ways stamp and die sets are enjoying a glass of wine from the Wine a Little stamp and die set.  Bobbi creates a hilly background with a hand-drawn forest in the background to complete the romantic scene.

It's our 100th Challenge!!!!

Happy Birthday by Bobbi features Birthday Essentials and Cocktail Mixers by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Bobbi Lemanski chose IPC#47 for her favorite color challenge.  She created an amazing background in the challenge colors then stamped and die cut the cocktails from the Cocktail Mixer stamp and die set. using the same colors. She popped the images up using dimensional tape. Using sentiments from the Birthday Essentials stamp set, she completes this festive birthday card!

IPC#4 Sketch

Relax by Debbie features Floaty Goat, Seashells, Land Borders and Sea Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens chose sketch IPC#4 in honor of the first time she participated in an Inky Paws Challenge!  For her card, she used the Seashell stencil with distress ink and matte texture paste.  She die cuts using the Land Border die set.  For her middle stripe, she blends shades of blue and and cuts using the Sea Borders die set. She layers to create a river between the seashore and die cuts using the rounded-edge die from the Framework die set.  She adds the goat from the Floaty Goat stamp set and stamps the sentiment from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set.


Diane Morales chose IPC#27--Kraft Paper and Sparkle--because it was her very 1st Inky Paw Challenge. To begin her card, she used the scalloped-edged die from the Framework to create her base. She embosses the panel in gold using the flower image the Newton's New Year stamp set. She then cuts out the balloon shape using the Balloon Shaker die. She embosses the sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set and places it behind her kraft panel using dimensional tape. She then colors and the kitty from the Newton's New Year stamp and die cuts it using the coordinating die.

Oops by Sue features Naughty Newton and Newton Cleansup by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. chose the IPC#15--Add a Little Sparkle--as her favorite theme challenge.  She lightly blends a portion of her base, then adds her calico kitty from Newton Cleans Up stamp and die.  This little feline has been having too much fun with the glitter which Sue cleverly adds to her card base.  Adding the "Oops" sentiment from the Naughty Newton stamp set pulls this clever card together!


Smile by Becky features Tropical Leaves and Uplifting Wishes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle selected IPC#33--Ombre'--as her favorite past challenge. She creates her ombre' effect using the Tropical Leaves stencil on a dark gray card base. She then uses the "Smile" sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set. She spatters some white to pull this amazing card together!

Inky Paws Challenge #99 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a project using the theme--Rainbow! 

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge!

Becky Noelle showcases a perfect spring day!  She begins her background using Cloudy Sky stencil and texture paste.  She creates her grassy hills using the Land Borders die set and dry brushing a darker shade of green distress ink to add some grassy texture.  She uses the scalloped-edge frame from the Frames & Flags dies set.  She adds a sentiment from the Walking Woofs stamp set. For her main attraction she colors the blooms from the Loads of Blooms stamp set in all of the colors of the rainbow!




My heart smiles by Bobbi features Loads of Bloom and Holding Happiness by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski completely wows with her bright, bold, and colorful background! She then adds the little girl from Holding Happiness stamp and die set and shades the balloons in all the colors of the rainbow. She adds a sentiment from the Loads of Bloom stamp set.  With a sprinkling of sequins, Bobbi finishes her card!

Relax, read, repeat by Debbie features Newton's Book Club by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens splatters all the colors of the rainbow to create the background.  She then adds then strips of paper to mimic a rainbow at the bottom of the card.  She stamps the sentiment and adds the kitty on his pile of books from the Newton's Book Club stamp set. She adds glossy accents to the books and a strip of washi tape to the edge.  

Hope your day is loads of fun by Diane features Newton Cleans Up, Speech Bubbles, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates her background using a die from the Frames & Flags die set.  She adds a yellow basket with colorful towels in shades of the rainbow and a kitty enjoying a little nap from the Newton Cleans Up stamp and die set.  She adds some colorful hearts from the Speech Bubbles die set to finish off her delightful CAS card!


Thanks by Sue features Thankful Thoughts, Speech Bubbles, Garden Mice, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T.'s collection of speech bubbles in different rainbow colors makes for such a fun design! She uses sentiments from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set and embosses them on bright papers which she die cuts using the Speech Bubbles die set.  She adheres them on a white background die cut using the scalloped-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set.  She adds one of the darling mice from Garden Mice stamp and die set to pull everything together!
