Inky Paws Challenge #236-Week 3

Happy New Year and welcome to

Inky Paws first 2025 Challenge!

For the month of January

we have fabulous colors to play with!

Use Cherry Red, Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White with your NND products.

You have 2 more weeks to get creative with these colors and your NND Products!

You have until Friday, Janary 31, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

There's so many ways to use these colors. Get a head start to next Christmas's holiday cards or do some summer dreaming with an ocean-themed card. We can't wait to see what you create. Now let's take a peek at the IPC cards:

Debbie Owens uses the Birdhouse Line stencil combined with papers from the Bright Basics

and the Pastel Basics paper pads. She places a sentiment from the Birsdhouse Greetings stamp set on a stitched banenr (Banner Trio die set). Just love how she used the stencil with these colors!

Love is in the air with Amy Tollner's Valentine's card! She uses the heart paper from the Love & Meows paper pad for her background. She uses the Postage Stamp Layout die to create her layout. She uses the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set to create her six little postage images. Just so cute!

Claire's cookie card features Newton's Cookie Jar, Heart Frames, and Christmas Basics by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #catcards, #cookiecards, #valentinescard

Claire Lamb creates this darling kitten card using the Newton's Cookie Jar stamp and coordinating die set on top of a large heart (Heart Frames die set). She adds red gingham paper from the Christmas Basics paper pad trimnmed with some turquoise paper. Her polka-dotted cookie canister is just so cute!

Crystal Minkler is getting a head start on her 2025 Christmas cards. She showcases the sweet puppy image from the Holiday Heights stamp and coordinating die set with some falling snowflakes (Snowfall Stencil) in the backdrop. Her little hill was created using the Hills & Grass. Just love the little pop of red on the scarf and hat!

Danni's Valentine's card features Valentine Postage Sampler and Postage Stamp Layout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #valentinescards

Like Amy, Danni Bindel showcases the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set and the Postage Stamp Layout. Instead of red, heart paper for her background, Danni embraces the buttery brown with her heart-embossed Kraft cardstock. Love the added texture! Isn't fun to see different ways to use the same products?

Crystal Minkler creates a beautiful, winter night background just perfect for her snowman and puppy from the Holiday Heights stamp and coordinating die set. For the postage-edging, Crystal uses the Framework die set. What a fabulous way to interpret the challenge theme!

Danni Bindel's card is going to appeal to all our dog lovers out there! She colors all those sweet puppies from the Never Enough Dogs stamp set in all shades of browns and grays. She then creates the scalloped and the postage-edged layers using the Framework die set. Those vertical stripes are from the A Dog's Life paper pad. Her last element is the sentiment in a stitched circle (Circle Frames die set). A delightful happy place!

Time to celebrate by Debbie features Birthday Meows, Birthday Mice, Birthday Greetings, and Oval Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycard, #micecards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Can't decide what paper to use? Then do what Debbie Owens does! She makes stripes using 9 different designs from the Birthday Meows paper pad giving her card a very fun, celebratory feel. She adds a vellum oval using the Oval Frames die set. She places those delightful mice from the Birthday Mice stamp set on the vellum with a pop of dimension tape. For her sentiment, she uses a banner die from the Banner Trio die set. Sweet!

She uses the Snow Globe Shaker die set for the added snowflakes and to stamp the sentiment on. So cute!

She places her sentiment on a banner (Frames & Flags die set) and uses the Framework die set for the postage-stamp edging. Need more non-traditional holiday colors? Then you are going to love Claire Lamb's bright rainbow of holiday trees! Using the Christmas Tree Line stencil, Claire adds rows of trees in bright hues of the rainbow. She then adds a trio of sentiments from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set. The white embossing on black really pop against the bright colors! A sprinkling of sequins completes this festive card!

Bright and merry by Debbie features Poinsettia Blooms, Music, and Joyful Tags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #christmascards, #cardmaking

Debbie Owens breaks the team's non-traditional colors trend! She goes with the more classic red & green colors using the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set. (This set is retiring and is only $7.49! Be sure to grab your set before they are gone!) She adds her poinsettias on a gold foiled musical score using the Music stencil. She continues the gold with her embossed sentiment on black using the Joyful Tags stamp set. Simply gorgeous!
