Inky Paws Challenge #238 Week 3

Welcome to Inky Paws'

March Challenge!

For March, we have a spring theme to play with!

You still have time to get creative with showers and flowers using your NND Products!

You until Friday, March 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Crystal Minkler uses the Cherry Blossoms stamp and coordinating die set in such a creative way. Using the Postage Stamp Layout die, she creates six panels filled with the cherry blossoms. Such a beautiful way to celebrate spring!

Dannie's spring card features Spring Blooms, Spring Heights, and Basic Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #floralcards, #flowercards

Danni Bindel's darling puppy card is filled with cuteness. She uses two, blue pattern papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad with dies from the Basic Frames die set to create her brilliant layers. She then uses the puppies from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set who are too cute with their gardening tools and pot of flowers!

Debbie's spring card features Heartfelt Blooms, Floral Delights, Spring Blooms, Plaid, Petite Flowers, and Newton's Flower Garden by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #floralcards, #flowercards, #catcards

Debbie Owens uses two stencils, Petite Flowers and Plaid, to create her pink and green backdrop. She adds a spring of pink daisies from the Floral Delights stamps set, which she tucks behind the Quatrefoil panel created using paper from the Spring Blooms paper pad. Enjoying all the fresh flowers is the darling feline from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set. Deb adds a sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set for her final touch. So cute!

Amy's spring card features Rainy Day Doxie, Spring Blooms Oval, Pastel Basics, Oval Frames, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #floralcards, #flowercards, #dogcards, #puppycards

Amy Tollner's shower and flower card is so pretty with the pink, yellow, and orange color combo! She uses the pink striped paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad with the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. Amy then stamps and colors all those gorgeous flowers from the Spring Blooms Oval stamp set framed with the scallop-edged oval (Oval Frames die set). The little Doxie in his bright yellow raincoat is from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp and coordinating die set, and he is looking absolutely adorable on this fab card!

Claire's spring card features Cherry Blossoms and A2 Card Layout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #floralcards, #flowercards

Claire Lamb was also inspired to use the Cherry Blossoms stamp and coordinating die set. Claire uses the A2 Card Layout with her Kraft paper to create her panels. She lightly splatters this to add some texture that is just right for her sprigs of cherry blossoms. Just love the pink and Kraft together!

Debbie Owens makes this darling bubble tea card. She made her top and bottom banner using the Bokeh stencil set. She then adds the bubble tea-drinking fur balls using the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp set and the Newton's Bubble Tea stamp set. For her sentiment, she uses the Frames Squared die set for her circles, and the Puppy Heart stamp set for the sentiment. So much bubbly fun!

Amy Tollner sets her orange tabby cat from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp and coordinating die set in a bed of flowers by using the floral papers in the Springtime paper pad. She creates her panels using theA2 Card Layout die set. Anyone else want to just tickle that little white tummy? 😀

Claire Lamb also created a bubbly-delicous tea card! She, too, uses the tea-loving critters from the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp and coordinating die set and the Newton's Bubble Tea stamp and coordinating die set. She then uses the Frames Squared die set to cut and distress all those extra bubbles for a delightful card!

Crystal Minkler celebrates friendship with this trio of movie-going felines! These friends are from the Newton's Movie Night stamp and coordinating die set. Crystal sets them atop an oval ocean of popcorn by using the Oval Frames die set and the Popcorn stencil. What a fun way to celebrate friends!

Danni Bindel's trio of butterflies has captured the attention of a sweet, gray tabby kitty from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp and coordinating die set. She uses papers from the Springtime paper pad for her cloudy sky and green striped grass (Land Borders die set) and frames everything with the bright yellow polka dotted paper. She uses the Circle Frames die set for her center layers. Fun fact: The very first Inky Paws Challenge started on July 26, 2013, and Danni used that first sketch for her first IPC inspirational card!

Summer isn't summer without a fun BBQ with yummy hamburgers, and Debbie Owens captures the spirit of a good BBQ with this fun card. She repeatedly stamps the little hamburger image from the Dad's BBQ stamp set to create stripes. She then adds the shimmery sun (Sky Scene Builder die set) behind her star attraction--a big cheeseburger in paradise. This fun image and punny sentiment is from the mini-stamp set, Buns Out.

Amy Tollner's little feline has found a slice of tropical paradise for her nap in the hammock. For her scene, Amy has used the Retro Sun and Palms stencil set for the gorgeous sunset along with the Land Borders die set for her golden sandy beach. That sweet feline is from the Aloha Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set

Hello summer by Claire features Jar, Fireflies, Flamingo Oval, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #summercards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Have you ever experienced the beauty of fireflies? Claire Lamb's twilight card captures the beauty of them! She distresses a vibrant background for her fireflies using the newly released Fireflies Hot Foil Plates & Dies. She then places her jar (Jar Hot Foil Plate and Die) in the deep green grass created using the Land Borders die set and pulls the sentiment from the Flamingo Oval stamp set. Claire has definitely captured the essence of summer!

Crystal Minkler shares a summer card filled with garden delights, including two gray mice! These little critters are from the Garden Mice stamp and coordinating die set. She places them on floral background papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad. Look closely and you'll see the green gingham grass (Land Borders die set)! So cute! For her sentiment, she stamps it on a banner die cut using the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set.

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

As we bring you this week's inspiration, we want take to moment say good-bye to one of our amazing Inky Paws design team members, Diane Morales.

Diane has been a long time part of the Inky Paws Challenge, first as a challenge participant and then a team member! Over the years her amazing shaped cards and creative interpretations of the challenges have provided so much inspiration! For her final IPC card, Diane doesn't disappoint. Below is here final IPC card, and it's just the cutest!

Diane uses the ever cute kitten from the Kitten Beach stamp and die set playing in his bucket of sand. Joining him is a little red crab! Diane creates a subtle background using the shell images from the same stamp set. Her stitched circle was created using a die from the Circle Frames die set. Those bright, summery papers are from the Summertime paper pad. Diane completes her card with matching enameled dots. Another amazing card, Diane!

A big thank you to Diane for all her amazing projects over the years!

Crystal O. Minkler selects a mixture of papers from the A Cat's Life paper pad to create colorful layers for her card. Crystal uses the Frames & Flags die set to create the scallop edges. Sitting on a scalloped vellum oval (Oval Frames die set) is her sweet gray kitten from the Newton Loves Tacos stamp and coordinating die set. This little guy is definitely enjoying his special day with a tasty taco! Great job, Crystal!

Debbie Owens combines two stamp sets to create this playful and fun card! That sweet kitten from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set is stalking those red birds from the Birdhouse Greetings stamp set. She embosses the center oval (Oval Frames die set) and adds a sentiment cloud (Sky Scene Builder die set). For the sketch stripes, Deb uses the Trailing Leaves stencil. Her bright blue background was die cut using the Frames & Flags die set to create the scallop edges. A fabulous combination of products for such a fun card!

Amy Tollner designs a bright blue & pink birthday card purr-fect for anyone! Her scallop-edged background was created using the A7 Frames & Banners die set. She adds blue balloon paper from the Birthday Party paper pad. For her oval (Oval Frames die set), Amy adds lots of confetti using the Confetti stencil. That precious kitty holding his helium-filled balloons is from the Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp and coordinating die set. What a way to celebrate a birthday!

Claire Lamb takes a creative take on the sketch with the sun (Oval Frames die set) being her oval element. She adds some trees (Forest Scene Builder die set) and grassy knolls (Land Borders die set) that makes a perfect setting for her trio of fawns from the Deer Friend stamp and die set. This set is retiring, so be sure to get your set before they are all gone! Don't you love how the grass is sun kissed? Great job, Claire!

Crystal Minkler's clean, crisp card is just so pretty! Her CAS design uses the Sky Borders die set for her white puffy clouds and the Framework die set for her postage-edged frame. She adds green grass using the Land Borders die set. Her stars, in their white fur coats, are the rabbit and lamb from the Spring Pile stamp and coordinating die set. Crystal adds a subtle pops of pink and lavender on the accessory elements. Wow!
