Inky Paws Challenge #243 Week 1

Welcome to Inky Paws

August Challenge!

For August, we have a super fun sketch to get creative with!

You have four weeks to get creative with your NND products using the sketch!

You have from August 4, 2025 until Friday, August 29, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Here's some inspiration.

This month we are using this fun sketch that can easily be created using the Card Layout 4 die! If you don't have this die, no worries. You can create this by cutting paper in a similiar pattern. This month's sketch can feature anything theme--seasonal, holiday, birthday, whatever you are inspired to make! Let's check out the IPC design team's ideas:

Amy Tollner creates a fun coffee-themed card using the Card Layout 4 die using a trio of papers from the Coffee Shop paper pad . Instead of an image, Amy chooses the big Thanks a Latte die set to create her sentiment. A fabulous card filled with coffee goodness!

What could be better than one cup of java Joe? How about 4 more mugs filled to the brim. Those darilng mugs of coffee are from the Coffee Delights stamp and coordinating die set. Great combination of sets!

She then stamps and colors the image from the Birthday Oval stamp set. She adds our favorite feline, Newton, from the Newton Loves Cake stamp set and finishes up with a sentiment pulled from the Newton's Cupcake stamp set. Fabulously festive!

What could be nicer than reading a good book with a nice cup of coffee? Well, Amy Tollner captures the magic of a book and coffee! When uses the A7 Frames &Banners die set for her design. Look closely and you'll see subtle mugs of coffee created using the Mugs stencil. She uses images from the Never Enough Books stamp and coordinating die set and places them on the different shelves.
