Inky Paws Challenge #223

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 


You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, May 24, 2024 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Debbie Owens makes this darling bubble tea card. She made her top and bottom banner using the Bokeh stencil set. She then adds the bubble tea-drinking fur balls using the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp set and the Newton's Bubble Tea stamp set. For her sentiment, she uses the Frames Squared die set for her circles, and the Puppy Heart stamp set for the sentiment. So much bubbly fun!

Amy's friend card showcases Newton's Flower Garden, Springtime, and A2 Card Layout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #springcards, #friendshipcards, #floralcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Amy Tollner sets her orange tabby cat from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp and coordinating die set in a bed of flowers by using the floral papers in the Springtime paper pad. She creates her panels using theA2 Card Layout die set. Anyone else want to just tickle that little white tummy?  😀

Claire Lamb also created a bubbly-delicous tea card! She, too, uses the tea-loving critters from the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp and coordinating die set and the Newton's Bubble Tea stamp and coordinating die set. She then uses the Frames Squared die set to cut and distress all those extra bubbles for a delightful card!

Crystal's friendship card features Newton's Movie Night, Oval Frames, and Popcorn by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #friendshipcards, #friendcards, #catcards, #moviecards, #catcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Crystal Minkler celebrates friendship with this trio of movie-going felines! These friends are from the Newton's Movie Night stamp and coordinating die set. Crystal sets them atop an oval ocean of popcorn by using the Oval Frames die set and the Popcorn stencil. What a fun way to celebrate friends!

Hello Friend by Danni features Puppy Friends, Circle Frames, A Dog's Life, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #puppycards, #friendshipcards, #friendcards, #dogcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Danni Bindel uses papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad to set the stage for her unlikely pair of friends. This sweet puppy and cute turtle are from the Puppy Friends stamp and coordinating die set. To create all those fun layers, Crystal uses dies from the Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die set. Just love the worded paper background! So fun!!

Inky Paws #192

Debbie's card features Newton's Movie Night, Popcorn, and A7 Frames & Banners by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #moviecards, #cardmaking
Debbie Owens uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set to create this fun card featuring our movie-goin' trio from the Newton's Movie Night stamp and coordinating die set.  She uses the Popcorn stencil to add some buttery popcorn in the background.  The red, black, yellow color combination looks so good together!



Sending piles of birthday wishes by Diane features A7 Frames & Banners, Birthday Party, Oval Frames, and Sky High Celebration by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #cardmaking, #dogcards, #catcards
Diane Morales also uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set to create her card base.  Diane, though, goes with a birthday theme.  She pulls a trio of papers from the  Birthday Party paper pad.  (Don't you love how each paper has little presents everywhere?!)  She continues the "presents" theme by adding a very tall stack of presents complete with some fur balls from the Sky High Celebration stamp and coordinating die set.  She adds an oval (Oval Frames dies set) complete with the perfect sentiment!



Chocolate is best on days that end in y by Amy features Love & Chocolate (stamp, die, & paper pad) and A7 Frames & Banners by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #chocolatecards, #newtonsnook, #candycards, #cardmaking
Amy Tollner, too, uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set for her card base.  For her card, Amy is showcasing scrumptious chocolates from the Love & Chocolate stamp and coordinating die set as well as the Love & Chocolate paper pad.  Her silver glitter frame, embossing, and sequins add a nice touch of elegance to these delectable treats!



Cover yourself in happiness by Claire features Never Enough Cats, Frames & Flags, and Love & Meows by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #cardmaking
Claire Lamb's card will bring a smile to any feline lover's face!  This pile up of feline fur babies from the Never Enough Cats stamp and coordinating die set is set atop red polka dotted paper from the Love & Meows paper pad.  The black stripes add a nice contrast.  Claire also uses the Frames & Flags die set to make her layers.  Oh, to be so lucky to own so many furry friends!



Happy purr-day by Crystal features Newton's Birthday Balloons, Clouds, and Love & Woofs by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardmaking, #newtonsnook, birthdaycard, #catcards
Crystal Minkler is also showcasing a sweet feline.  Her darling kitty is from the Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp set, and he is looking quite content as he soars through those fluffy clouds (Clouds stencil).  Crystal pulls coordinating papers from the Love & Woofs paper pad.  Love how she pulls the colors from the papers to shade her balloons!

Inky Paws Challenge #162 Winners

She uses the Popcorn stencil for her buttery popcorn backdrop. Her card base has red and white stripes depicting a the popcorn box. Just so, so cute!

Claire Lamb showcases this daring duo from the Puppy Pals stamp and cut using the coordinating die set. She colors them spectacularly in Copic markers. She creates a stunning backdrop in bright colors. Don't you love the way she creates the subtle stripes?  She stamps the sentiment and adds a trio of hearts for the perfect touch!


Surround yourself with those that make you happy by Debbie features Flamingo Flock, Frames & Flags, and Slimline Frames & Portholes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking
Debbie Owens surrounds her sweet pink flamingo from the Flamingo Flock stamp set with lots of her fabulous feathered friends. She uses the scallop-edged frame die from the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to crop this full frame image down.  She then pairs it with a light pink background die cut using the large scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. She stamps the sentiment on a white banner and adds pink gems. A fabulous idea to surround oneself with beloved friends!

Diane Morales shows us a trio of friends enjoying snacks and a good movie!  These feline cuties are from the Newton's Movie Night stamp and die set. Diane uses the Popcorn stencil to add a lot of buttery treats in the background.  She stamps the sentiment and scatters a few more popped kernels!  Anyone else ready to join them for a good show?  



I'd rather by lost at the lake by Sue T. features Winston's Lake House, Frames Squared, Hills & Grass, Forest Scene Build by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Sue T.'s friends are enjoying the great outdoors!  With the fluffy clouds made using the Clouds stencil and the tall fir trees using the Forest Scene Build die set, Winston and his friend from the Winston's Lake House stamp and die set are enjoying a day canoeing on a peaceful lake made using the Hills & Grass stencil.  She stamps the sentiment on a speech bubble die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set. 
 Sue uses the Frames Squared die set for her card.  An amazing way for friends to spend the day!




Friends fur-ever by Amy T. features Hills & Grass, Clouds, Puppy Pals, Heart Frames, Newton's Valentine, Newton's Birdbath by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking
Amy Tollner makes a heart-shaped card using the Heart Frames die set. On her scallop-edged heart, she adds pastel clouds and tall green grass using the Clouds and the Hills & Grass stencils respectively. She then adds her playful puppies from the Puppy Pals stamp and die set. She pulls the little flower hair accessory from the Newton's Valentine stamp and die set, and the butterflies are from the Newton's Birdbath stamp and die set. A fabulous combination of elements for this delightful card!
