Inky Paws Challenge #119

This biweekly challenge is a:

Color Challenge


Create a project using the colors: pastel pink, pale yellow, baby blue and light lavender

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 


You have TWO WEEKS to play along Deadline to enter is Friday, March 27, 2020, at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Hoppy Easter by Becky features Hop Into Spring by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates a scallop-edged round card filled with Easter goodness.  Her light blue distressed background showcases the bunnies from the Hop Into Spring stamp set. Becky's pastel eggs are a fabulous way to celebrate the holiday!


Crystal Komera has created a sweet hello with this stunning sky scene! She used our 
Newton Dreams of Paris stamp and die set to add that kitty in his hot air ballon in front of the colorful inked sky! She adds some cloudy edges along the top and  bottom using our Sky Borders die set and adds more colorful clouds with vellum. 

Rejoice in Spring by Debbie features The Nutcracker, Cloudy Sky, Easter Lily, Woodland Spring, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
This trio of sweet ballerinas from the The Nutcracker Squeak stamp set look fabulous in their pastel tutus!  Debbie Owens places them is a field of flowers using a flower stamp from the Woodland Spring stamp set. She adds a blue sky with fluffy embossed clouds from the Cloudy Sky stencil. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to cut the scallop-edged border and banner on which she adds a sentiment from the Easter Lily stamp set.  


Forecast: blue skies ahead by Diane features Umbrella Pals, Raindrop, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales puts the Raindrop stencil to good use using purple and blue inks to create the lightly distressed background. She pulls out the raccoon umbrella image from the Umbrella Pals stamp and die set and colors in shades of pinks and yellows. The lavender scallop-edged card base (Frames & Flags die set) make for a wonderful card base. 


Happy Easter by Sue features Cottage Garden, Frames & Flags,and Simply Sentiment by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. designs a sweet Easter card by stamping several flower images as well as hearts from the Cottage Garden stamp set in pastels.  Using the Simply Seasonal stamp set, she stamps the Happy Easter greeting. She adds strips of coordinating papers at the bottom and die cuts using the Frames & Flags die set to create the scallop edges.  A sprinkling of gems adds a wonderful touch of glam!

Inky Paws Challenge #94 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.

Color Challenge
Create a project using the colors: white, pink, baby blue, and mint.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 


My heart smiles just thinking of you by Becky features Loads of Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates a fabulous textured background and adds a partial light green doily on which she stamps the sentiment from the Loads of Blooms stamp set. She creates a very full tulip bouquet (Loads of Blooms) by adding layers of tulips and using dimensional tape. Definitely a lovely card! 
  
Hugs by Bobbi features Sending Hugs by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates these sweet trio of cards by pulling out the smaller elements from the  Sending Hugs stamp set and repeatedly stamping. She softly colors them in the pastel challenge colors and adds a small banner with a single word sentiment.  Not sure which is cuter--the ice cream cones, the cupcakes, or the bouquet of spring flowers?  They are all just precious!


You make me a happy camper by Debbie features Cozy Campers and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens gets us in the mood for camping!  She begins by grounding her design with a blue vertically striped paper. She then cuts the sentiment layer using one of the dies from Framework die set. She stamps the camping sentiment from the Cozy Campers stamp set and adds some flowers. She then uses the challenge colors to shade the vintage travel camper.  The little pink flamingos are a whimsical touch to finish the scene.

How mice of you by Diane features Garden Mice, Bokeh, Framework, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates this delightful card by using the Framework die set for her card base.  She uses mint green and sky blue to create her amazing background using the Bokeh stencil set. She incorporates the pink form the challenge colors by coloring the large flower from the Garden Mice stamp and die set in pink. Using the banner from the Frame & Flags die set, she stamps the sentiment.  Again, so delightful!


Hippity Hoppity by Sue features Cottage Garden, Argyle, and Spring Pile Up by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this striking Easter card by using the challenge colors for her pretty background using the Argyle stencil set. She then stamps a trio of sweet bunnies from the Cottage Garden stamp and die set. She then pairs the bunnies up with the "Hippity Hoppity" sentiment from the Spring Pile Up stamp set.  Just love how Sue mixes and matches sets to create such a fun card!

Inky Paws Challenge #93 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.

Create a project using Spring as your theme. 

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 

You're the best by Sue features Cottage Garden, Sunscape, Framework, and Fancy Edges by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this spring card that will brighten up someone's day!  She creates her sunny background using the Sunscape stencil. She die cuts this using the Framework die. She then repeatedly stamps the sentiment from the Cottage Garden stamp in a pale pink. She cuts this into a tag using the Fancy Edges dies before adhering the tulip images from the Cottage Garden and die set.  She adds a twine bow for a finishing touch. Such a pretty way to brighten someone's day!

Happy Easter by Becky by Newton's Easter Basket and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates this pop up box card that is loaded in spring fun! After creating her box, Becky hides Easter eggs in the grass layers she created using the Land Borders die set. Also hiding in the grass is an Easter basket full of goodies including a kitty with bunny ears from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set. She adds the sentiment and a couple of more eggs on the front flap!  This is definitely an egg-stra special card!

Bobbi Lemanski creates a fabulous 3 1/4 x 8 inch CAS card!  She begins by repeatedly stamping the small flower image from the Loads of Bloom stamp set in black.  She colors  and die cuts the main image again from Loads of Bloom in bright springy colors. She adds lots of twine and finishes her card by adding black and white stripes to the two edges.  A fabulous card to celebrate spring!


Love no bunny butt you by Debbie features Bunny Hop, Bold Blooms, Framework, and Flags & Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates this bright, spring card with a lime-green gingham paper die cut using the Framework die set.  She then uses the Bold Blooms stencil to create yellow, orange, and pink flowers which cut into a circle.  Using the Frame & Flags die set, she creates a shortened banner with her punny sentiment. For the finale, she stamps this delightful bunny from the Bunny Hop stamp set.


A nicer place by Diane features Loads of Bloom and Bold Bloom by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales' card is definitely making the world a better place. She creates her pretty background using pastel yellows and the Bold Blooms  stencil set.  She then colors this lovely girl on her bicycle from the Loads of Bloom stamp set.  Such a lovely card!

Let's party by Debbie features Newton Celebrates, Newton's New Year, and Bubbly by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie creates this festive card by creating a pale pink background using the  Bubbly stencil. She adds  black and white washi tapes before adding the sweet kitties from the Newton Celebrates and Newton's New Year stamp sets. She adds a bit of gel pen and sequins for some some shine!

Feline Good by Diane features Newton's Sweeheart, Tumbling Hearts, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales brings on the sweetness with this cutie!  Starting with the Tumbling Hearts stencil she creates a gray and pink romantic background on a white card base die cut using the center die from the Frames & Flags die. Then she softly colors the feline couple from Newton's Sweetheart stamp set in soft grays.

Thinking of You by Sue features Cottage Garden and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. brings us this elegant card using a base of gingham pattern paper which use die cuts with the scalloped edge die from the Frames & Flags die set. She adds a white base in which she embellishes with images from the Cottage Garden stamp and die set. She adds her sentiment on a banner. Oh, so pretty!

Becky Noelle also brings us a gorgeous and elegant card which she starts by using the Tree Rings stencil. She then adds these fabulously colored flowers from the Peony Blooms stamp set. Then she adds her sentiment from the Simply Sentimental stamp set which she embosses in white on a black background. So elegant!


Happy Birthday by Bobbi features Raccoon Rascals, Cozy Campers, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski brings us this darling and whimsical card. She begins by hand drawing the trees in gray and adds pink and red leaves. She then adds a darling camping scene using the
Cozy Campers stamp and die set.  She adds lots of pink flamingos which she places on the different horizons using the Land Borders die set. In the foreground, she incorporates this naughty raccoon from the  Raccoon Rascals stamp set.  Darling!

Celebrate by Becky features Tranquil Tides, Happy Little Thoughts, and Cottage Garden by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle combines three stamp sets to create this artistic delight. She stamps the leafy wreaths and sentiment from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp. Then she inks up images from the Cottage Garden stamp set. Then she selects the splattering of dots from the Tranquil Tides stamp set. Her ability to create this symmetrical design is superb!  


Thinking of you by Debbie features Framework and Peony Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens cuts the frame using the  Framework die set. Then stamps a floral image and sentiment from the Peony Blooms stamp set. She then stamps and fussy cuts another floral image and colors it. She adheres to the frame using dimensional tape and adds enamel dots and washi tape to finish her card.

Diane Morales also showcases the Peony Blooms stamp and die set with this beautiful white on white card. She uses the Bubbly stencil to create the background. Then she softly colors the flowers and adheres with dimensional tape. The sentiment is then inked and added to complete this pretty card.

Hey there by Emily features Playful Pandas and Sunscape by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Emily Lauritzen brings us this playful card featuring the Playful Pandas stamp set. She creates the background by using the Sunscape stencil. She then creates a circular track allowing the panda to playfully spin around the card. Using the Playful Pandas dies, she colors and cuts the bamboo to add the bottom border.

Lucky to have you by Sue features Tropical Leaves, Newton's Pot of Gold, Toucan Party, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this fabulous background using the Tropical Leaves stencil. She adds a sentiment from the Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set. Using the Frames & Flags die set, she creates the different layers for the backgrounds. At last she colors and cuts the those sweet toucans from  the Toucan Party stamp and die set. She adheres them in the circular cut out. What a fabulous card!
