Amy's FAVE
Happy Halloween by Kristi H. showcases Boo Hoo, Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, Spooky Roundabout, and Halloween Meows by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #halloweencards, #cardmaking, #cardchallengeKristi H.'s Halloween card caught Amy's eye.  With the spooky purple background peeking out her windows, Krist adds the little ghost and owl from the retired Boo Hoo stamp set.  For her third window, she adds the sweet, little Jack-o-lantern from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set. Those playful polka dots are from the Halloween Meows paper pad, and they pull all the colors of Kristi's card.  For her sentiment, she pulls the Happy Halloween from the Spooky Roundabout stamp set.  Fabulously done!

Happy Birthday with sprinkles on top by Vicki features Summer Scoops, Framework, Birthday Woofs, Furr-ever Friends, and Celebrations by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #icecreamcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Vicki's use of the pastel papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad with the two ice cream cones from the Summer Scoops stamp and coordinating die set was a fabulous idea. The pale yellow ice cream looks so delicious, especially with the added sprinkles using the Celebrations Embellishment Mix.  She also uses the heart from the Furr-ever Friends die set and the postage-edged die from the Framework die set to complete this scrumptious card!



Crystal's FAVE
You make life sweet by Becca features Cat Treats and A Cat's Life by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking
Becca's combination of the lime green paw print paper and the pink polka dotted paper caught Crystal's eye.  Both papers are from the 
A Cat's Life paper pad.  Becca continues the fun by turning the card and adding circular elements with images from the Cat Treats stamp set. Don't you just love the little donut and ice cream cone?!  Wonderfully done!



Danni's FAVE
May your days be furry and bright by Jennifer K. features Puppy Present, Holiday Foilage, and Canine Christmas by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #holidaycards, #puppycards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Jennifer K. caught Danni's eye with her use of the lime green!  Jennifer finds the perfect color of green ink to create her background using the Holiday Foliage stencil. She continues the fun by adding striped paper from the Canine Christmas paper pad. Instead of stamped images, Jennifer carefully cuts out her canine images from the paper.  Such a clever idea!  She then pulls the sentiment from the Puppy Present stamp set.  Such a bright, festive card!



Debbie's FAVE
Here's to you by Danielle features Cocktail Mixer, Confetti Hot Foil Plate, Slimline Frames & Portholes, and Summertime by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #summercards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cocktailcards
Danielle's use of purple and orange caught Deb's eye. Danielle pulls the orange seashore paper from the Summertime paper pad, and then uses the Confetti hot foil plate with purple foil.  For her stitched circles she uses the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set.  Love it!  She adds a trio of very scrumptious-looking drinks from the Cocktail Mixer stamp and coordinating die set.  The overall effect is "Let's celebrate!

Happy Halloween by Betty T. features Pumpkin Patch, Happy Howl-oween, Boo Hoo, and Batty Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #Halloween
Betty T. uses leftover glitter papers to created this darling Halloween card! In the background, she adds a shimmery background using the Pumpkin Patch stencil. Atop the glittery paper, she adds the Halloween puppies from the Happy Howl-oween stamp and die set. At the top she also adds the owl from the Boo Hoo stamp set.  Pulling a sentiment from the Batty Newton stamp set, she embosses and adds it to her card!  A super fun way to wish a loved one Happy Halloween!

Embrace your inner kitten by Claire L. features Newton Unwinds and Meow by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Claire L. creates an amazing CAS card by partially distressing the background using the Meow stencil in shades of orange to yellow. She wonderfully colors the black kitten a top of his big purple ball of yarn from the Newton Unwinds stamp and die set. Her sentiment is embossed in white on a black banner that really pulls the card together wonderfully!  Sweet!



Becky's FAVE
Have a be-witching good time by Amy T. features Clouds, Spooky Street, Witchy Newton, Halloween Trio, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #halloween
Amy T.'s spooky background uses the Clouds stencil she stamps the haunted house and gravestones from the Spooky Street stamp set to add to her spooky scene.  From black card stock she adds the landscaped die cutting hills and grass using the Land Borders die set.  Front and center is the kitty in her fashionable boot from the Witchy Newton stamp and die set. Her final touch of bats die cut using the bat from Halloween Trio die set.

Happy Halloween by Priscilla features Newton's Costume Party, Flying Bats, and Slimline Frames & Windows by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnok, #cardmaking, #halloween
Priscilla's use of the Flying Bats stencil to create a spook-tacular background for her trio of kittens from the Newton's Costume Party stamp and die set. Aren't they darling in their fun costumes?  She places everything atop a purple scalloped frame die cut using the  Slimline Frames & Windows die set.  A wonderful use of the challenge colors!




Debbie's FAVE
Cat's don't lie around lazily, they beautify the room by Papierelle features Newton's Naptime by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Papierelle creates a most amazing window scene!  Her bricked wall and vellum window is gorgeously colored.  Look closely at you'll see the outline of a sleeping kitty.  Then open the card up and you'll see our sweet Newton on a pile of quilts and blankets from the Newton's Naptime stamp set. What a fabulously designed card to showcase a cat's favorite pastime!  A nap!



Diane's FAVE
Happy Birthday by Farhana features Birthday Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Farhana took the Halloween-like colors of the challenge in a different direction. She created a bold birthday card using the Birthday Roundabout stamp set. She embossed the image in white and distressed the rectangular strips in orange, purple, and yellow. She places them strategically on a black card based. The birthday sentiment is embossed in white and looks striking on the black base!

Inky Paws Challenge #131

This biweekly challenge is a:
Colors Challenge

Create a project using the colors: 

Purple, Orange, white and teal.

We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

Happy pumpkin spice season by Crystal features Pumpkin Spice, Framework, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Crystal Komara begins with a white card base with a purple striped paper. She cuts a scallop-edged layer using the Framework die set. She adds a teal fence and gray hills using the Land Borders die set. She scatters pumpkins in teal and in orange around the ground as well as leaves in teal and purple.  Her focal images are the ladies from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and die set decked out in fashionable clothes in the challenge colors. A delightful way to bring in autumn!



Collect beautiful moments by Debbie features Butterflies, Newton's Flower Garden, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Debbie Owens begins with a white card base and adds a purple frame using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. She uses the challenge colors with the Butterflies stencil set to add a backdrop of fluttering butterflies. She uses the smaller scallop-edged frame from the Framework die to cut her backdrop.  She pulls the kitten playing with the butterfly from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set and colors her feline in orange.  Her final touch is the orange banner overlaid with vellum cut using the banner from the Frames & Flags die set. 


Trick or Treat by Diane features Boo Hoo, Halloween Trio, Darling Hearts, Square Die, Frames & Flags, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates this clean and crisp Halloween card. With a black card base, she adds a white scallop-edged frame using the Frames & Flags die set. She adds a teal and a purple circle using the circle die from the Square Die set and the small circle die from the Circle Frames die set. Her orange element is a heart die cut using the Darling Hearts die set. She adds the little ghost from the Boo Hoo stamp and die set and adds the sentiment die cut from the Halloween Trio die set. A super fun CAS card just right for Halloween!


Oh happy day by Sue T. features Floral Roundabout, Circle Frames, and Square Die by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. uses the Square Die set to create her white card base. Then using the Circle Frames die set, she cuts the scallop-edged circle and adheres with dimensional foam tape. She stamps the Floral Roundabout stamp set and colors the flowers in the challenge colors and die cuts using the above mentioned die set. She embosses the sentiment on the lavender ribbon wrapped around the front panel.  Very pretty!


Becky Noelle begins with a white card base and adds the scallop-edged white layer using the Frames & Flags die set. On this frame, she uses the Floral Lace stencil to partial add a dimensional section. Using the Peony Blooms stamp set, she colors the petals in purple and leaves in teal.  She adds a splash of orange in the center of each bloom. Gorgeous!

Inky Paws Challenge #109 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas project!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

'Tis the season by Becky features Snowfall, Fancy Edges Tag, and Christmas Haul by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates wrapping paper for her "present" card. She uses the Snowfall stencil with red foil and her Minc machine. She adds red ribbon with white stitching on the edges. For the present's tag, she cuts her tag using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She stamps the sentiment from the Christmas Haul stamp set as well as the present-laden lady. She colors the image in red, greens, and blues and finishes with a big red ribbon bow!  Darling!


Merry Everything by Bobbi features Winter Woofs, Sentiments of the Season, and Gingham by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski shows us the magic of gingham with her trio of holiday tags!  She creates her backgrounds using the Gingham Stencil. She uses the big sentiments from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set. She adds the super darling puppy images from the Winter Woofs stamp set. She adds gingham ribbon bows at the top of her tags. Her use of red, white, and black makes for super festive holiday cards! 


Deck the halls from Debbie features Caroling Newton, Framework, Frames & Flags, Ornamental Wishes, and Speech Bubbles by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a darling Christmas card using nontraditional colors. She begins with a black card base and adds an olive green gingham frame using the Framework die set. She then uses the Music stencil and pink deco foil to create a textured layer which she die cuts using a die from the
Frames & Flags die set. She colors the trio of kitties from the Caroling Newton stamp set in olive green, pink, and teal and adheres with dimensional foam.  She then heat embosses the sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set and die cuts using the Speech Bubbles die set.  Fun colors for a holiday card!


Boo!  Hoo!  by Diane features Cascading Stars, Land Borders, and Fence by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates a bright, delightful Halloween card!  She creates her background using the Cascading Stars stencil. She used texture paste and sprinkled Holographic powder on it while it was wet (but didn't use a heat gun).  Love the sparkle!  She then die cut the fence in white using the Fence die set. She added grass using the Land Borders die set.  Those cute critters are from the 
Boo Hoo stamp and die set. Just love those little speech bubbles!


Eek!  by Sue features Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, Pick-a-Pumpkin, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this dark, mysterious card using lots of black layers! She uses the Framework die to create her postage-stamp edge and scallop-edge layers.  She uses  Pick-a-Pumpkin die set to cut Jack-o-lantern faces multiple times on one of her black layers. She then heat embosses the sentiment in white using the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set. She adds dimensional tape to adhere to an orange-glittery backdrop.  Spook-tacular!
