Maria Giselle B.'s addition of sequins and rick-rack trim caught Debbie's eye! She adds a sentiment from the Birthday Roundabout stamp set to finish her shiny and creative card!

Marcia wonderful coloring of the puppy and kittens caught Amy's eye! Marcia uses some fun critter paper with the sweet image from the Sky High Celebrations stamp and coordinating die set. The red, white, black color scheme is also very striking!

Amy Mattingly no-coloring panel and Christmas theme won over Crystal's heart! Amy uses the Card Layout 3 die with papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. Amy then creates a no-colored panel using the Cup of Cocoa stamp set. The bright colors and black accents makes for a wonderful holiday card!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 Week 1

 

Welcome to July's Inky Paws Challenge!

This month we have some super fun colors to get creative!

Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise and Royal Blue


You have from Monday, July 7, 2025 to Friday, August 1, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month's fabulous colors can be used for any occasion.  Are you in need of birthday cards or beach cards?  Or stretch your creativity and use the colors for Halloween or Christmas cards!  There's so many possibilities. Let's see what the DT dreamed up:

Amy's card features Birthday Roundabout, Birthday Essentials, Boheh Balloons, Circle Frames, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #birthdaycards
Amy Tollner uses the colors to design this festive birthday card. She creates blue balloons using the Bokeh Balloons stencil set and gives it scallop edging using the Frames & Flags die set.  She then uses the Birthday Roundabout stamp and the Circle Frames die set for her focal element. At last she embosses her sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set. The overall effect is birthday cuteness!

Claire's beach card features Newton's Sand Dollar and Oavl Framesby Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #summercards, #beachcards, #catcards
Claire Lamb creates a super cute beach scene using Newton from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set. She then die cuts her oval using the Oval Frames die set and creates a fun beach for her feline to enjoy!  Darling way to use the challenge colors!

Crystal's birthday card features Heartfelt Coffee, Heart Frames, and Plaid by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #coffeecards, #birthdaycards, #coffeelovers
Crystal Minkler was also inspired to create a birthday card with a coffee twist!  She begins by creating a colorful background using the Plaid stencil set. She then stamps the coffee image from the Heartfelt Coffee stamp set and cut using the scallop-edging die from the Heart Frames die set.  A super colorful coffee card!

Danni's greeting card features Newton's Birdhouse, Oval Frames, Frames & Flags, and Pastel Basics by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #catcards, #hellocards
Danni Bindel uses the darling image from the Newton's Birdhouse stamp set. (Don't you love how she colors her sweet kitty?)  Then uses the Oval Frames die set to create her oval layers.  She continues by using dies from the Frames & Flags die set with polka dotted papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. Super sweet!

Debbie's birthday card features Sky High Celebrations, Petite Clouds, Oval Frames, Birthday Party, Love & Meow, and Birthday Oval by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #birthdaycards, #dogcards
Debbie Owens was also inspired to create a birthday card. She chooses the duo from the Sky High Celebrations stamp set floating through a cloudy sky (Petite Clouds stencil). She cuts her cloudy sky with a stitched oval die the Oval Frames die set. For her four little panels, she pulls papers from the Birthday Party and the Love & Meows paper pads. At last she stamps her birthday sentiment  using a stamp from the Birthday Oval stamp set.  A super fun birthday card!

Inky Paws Challenge #240 Week 3

Amy Tollner designs the cutest card to congrat friends on their new home.  And what could be cuter than a kitty in a box? This cute image is from the Newton Loves Boxes stamp and coordinating die set. Amy pairs the image with a trio of coordinating papers from the A Cat's Life paper pad. She also used the Circle Frames die set. So cute!

Claire Lamb designs this delightful birthday card using the Sky High Celebrations stamp and coordinating die set. The curly que paper from the Birthday Party paper pad is a festive background and pairs nicely with the polka dotted paper from the Bright Basics paper pad. For her stitched circle, Claire uses the Frames Squared die set. Celebrating in style!

Kathy was also inspired to design a card with fresh, beautiful flowers. She uses the flowers from the Floral Delights stamp and coordinating die set and highlights them with fabulous pattern papers.  The extra bees hanging out is a fabulous touch!

Jenni uses the challenge colors in a very subtle, but gorgeous ways.  She uses the retired Peony Blooms stamp set and sets them atop a beautiful background. She stamps her sentiment from the retired sSimply Sentimental stamp set on a stitched banner.  Just gorgeous!

Arlene's bubble tea card features A2 Card Layout, Bubbly, Newton's Bubble Tea, and Newton's Mug by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #teacards, #coffeelovers, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #catcards
Arlene use of the challenge colors is so playful and, well..., bubbly! She creates a bubbly backdrop using the Bubbly stencil. She then uses the A2 Card Layout die to create the black frame which she uses to make a shaker card!  Wow!  Enjoying all those bubbles is her sweet, white kitty from the Newton's Bubble Tea stamp set. She uses sentiments from this set as well as sentiments form the Newton's Mug stamp set.  Such a bubbly-cute card!

Papierelle creates a beautiful card using the Monarchs stamp set. She sets her trio of butterflies on a beautifully distressed backdrop.  Such an elegant way to use the challenge colors!

Christine MilleFlorr showcases the Floral Fringe stamp set using the challenge colors. Her pastel florals are just so pretty. She adds her image to a scalloped card base using the scallop-edge die from the Frames & Flags die set. So pretty!
