Inky Paws Challenge #240 Week 1

May Challenge!

For May, we have a fun sketch that 
you can use for any occasion!


You have four weeks to get creative with this sketch using your NND Products!

You have from Monday, May 5, 2025 to Friday, May 30, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month's month sketch is super versatile as you will see with the IPC DTs projects.  Are you inspired to make summer cards, Father's Day cards, Halloween, or maybe even a Christmas one!

Danni Bindel was inspired to make this delightful puppy card using the Fetching Friendship stamp set. She selects papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad and uses the Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets to create her multiple layers.  Love that this pup has a stash of tennis balls!

Debbie's Christmas card features Canine Christmas, Christmas Puppies, Oval Frames, and Frames & Tags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #christmascards, #dogcards, #puppycards
Debbie Owens is inspired to create a Christmas card. She uses papers from the Canine Christmas paper pad and die cut using the zig-zag frame die from the Frames & Tags die set. She then pulls out the Christmas Puppies stamp set and selects the same puppy as on the paper. Since this is a taller image, Deb opts to use an oval(Oval Frames) instead of a circle from the sketch.  Good job getting a jump start on your Christmas stash with this adorable card!

Amy Tollner decides on a floral card filled with spring freshness. She pulls papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad and layers them on her chartreuse green card base. She uses the Circle Frames die set for her stitched circle on which she has placed some sweet lilies of the valley using the Little Lilies stamp and coordinating die set.  So pretty!

Claire Lamb uses the sketch for this playful card spotlighting this delightful puppy trio from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set. For her background, Claire uses papers from the Spring Blooms and the Pastel Basics paper pads and adds her sentiment in a little stitched circle from the Frames Squared die set. The pink and green combination looks so pretty together!

Crystal Minkler is also adding to her stash of Christmas cards with this festive holiday card. She pulls a trio of pattern papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad and uses the Framework die set to create her scallop-edged frame. She adds a stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set. The little wreath and sentiment are from the Holiday Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set  and add to the festivitity and charm of this pretty card!

With Thanksgiving and Christmas just around the corner, this sketch will make creating holiday cards so much easier. But why limit yourself to holidays?  Whip up some birthday cards for 2025.  The gray, gloomy weather got you down?  Make some bright, colorful spring cards to cheer yourself up!  We can't wait to see what you make!

Amy Tollner designs an elegant card using the Heartfelt Fall stamp set and a sentiment from the Frames & Flags die set. her gorgeous  coloring of the leaves paired with the gold glitter paper make for a gorgeous autumn card.

Claire Lamb is celebrating the arrival of her new kitten with this playful card. She pulls teal and orange papers form the A Cat's Life paper pad to create her card base. She then creates a stitiched panel using the Basic Frames die set and places her new kitty and all her new toys upon it. These sweet images are from the Welcome New Cat stamp and coordinating die set.  Congrats to Claire on her new fur baby!

Crystal Minkler is using several products to create this darling holiday card. She uses papers from the Christmas Time paper pad for her card base. She then uses the Evergreens Stencil to create a subtle pattern on her red panel. She then uses the newly released Postage Stamp Layout Die to create her three postage stamps which are sporting little holiday images from the newly released Holiday Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set. She heat embosses in white a sentiment from the Bells & Holly stamp set. Such a darling card!
