Inky Paws Challenge #129

Hip Hip Hooray by Sue T. features Birthday Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. takes a fun take on the sketch using an A2 card base. Sue embosses festive banners on her white card stock before adding three circles with the birthday images from the Birthday Roundabout stamp set. She adds her sentiment on a little banner!  A fabulous CAS birthday card!



Take delight in the small things by Becky features Hummingbird, Slimline Frames & Portholes and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Becky Noelle creates a flowery paradise for her hummingbird from the Hummingbird stamp set!  She uses the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to create her pale blue and white layers. She then stamps lots of flowers from the Hummingbird stamp set and fussy cuts around them.  She stamps the sentiment on a small banner die cut from the Frames & Flags die set.  Ready for some bird watching?



You make life a picnic by Crystal features Woodland Picnic and Slimline Frames & Portholes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Crystal Komara's card will have you packing your picnic basket and heading out for a fun lunch in the great outdoors!  Beginning with a kraft card base die cut using the scallop-edged frame from the Slimline Frames & Portholes, she adds the fun plaid picnic blanket in the circles then adds forest critters from the Woodland Picnic stamp and die set.  The little ants scurrying around the card are an adorable addition to the scene!



Let's Get Kraken by Debbie features Message in a Bottle, Waves, and Slimline Frames & Portholes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Debbie Owens creates an ocean scene filled with drama as the kraken from theMessage in a Bottle stamp and die set slowly takes down a ship! This action can be seen from the trio of windows die cut using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set.  Behind it all are the turquoise waves using the Waves stencil and distressed ink.  She finishes with a mini banner using the Frames & Flags die set and a little anchor.  Be wary seafaring friends!



Wishing you a spooky Halloween by Diane features Slimline Frames & Portholes and Creepy Cameos by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales' spooky card is fabulously done!  Using the scallop-edged frame die  Slimline Frames & Portholes die set, she creates her base in card stock.  Then she adds her green background with it's corners stamped using the cameo frame  and bats from the Creepy Cameos stamp set.  She adds the male and female skeleton images from this same set and and die cuts using the coordinating die set. A creepy card with a touch of elegance!

Becky Noelle creates an amazing adventure scene by splattering some orange on the background and distressed waves using the Sea Borders die set. She then fussy cuts the kraken and the ship from the
Message in a Botttle stamp set.

Hello sunshine by Bobbi features Lemon Twist by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates this bright, refreshing card. She creates a watercolor background. Then stamps the lemons from the Lemon Twist stamp set on white card stock and adds tree stems and branches.  She layers the teal and yellow challenge colors to create her greenish leaves. She die cuts the lemon design into a focal circle and adds the phrase to the side.

Paddle all your worries away by Debbie features Hardwood, Winston's Lake House, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates the wood grain background using the Hardwood stencil before die cutting it using the Framework die set.  She then uses distress inks to blend a watery sunset background which she die cuts in a circle.  She embosses the sentiment and firefly and adheres to the background.  She then colors and fussy cuts the canoe image from the Winston's Lake House stamp set and adheres with dimensional tape.  A fabulous way to spend a summer day!

Hey Gull Friend by Diane features Sea Borders and Gull Friends by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates this stunning tag by splattering white on her teal background. She then adds a two-tone sun and a bottom border using the Sea Borders die set which she turns upside down. Her focal point are those sweet California seagulls from the Gull Friends stamp and die set. She adds white ribbon. Whether used as a tag or a bookmark, this is a fabulous project!


Hey there pumpkin by Sue features Newton's Bootiful Night, Speech Bubbles, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. uses the challenge colors to make a super cute Halloween card!  She uses the Newton's Bootiful Night stamp set and stamps two images on her white card base.  She colors the pumpkins in teal, yellow and pumpkin and her kitties and bird in brown.  She then stamps the sentiments and die cuts them using the Speech Bubbles die set.  She die cuts her white base using the Framework die set.  A delightful way to celebrate Halloween!

100th Challenge Special Edition #1

It's our 100th Challenge and we have some special guests showcasing their favorite challenges!


Celebrate with us and get your paws EXTRA inky! 
For this special challenge we are hosting 4 link ups! 
That means 4 chances to win! 

Here's the details: Choose your favorite challenge & play it again!
Pick any of our previous Color, Sketch or Theme challenges and play it again! Just decide on your favorite and add it to your post along with your entry matching the previous challenge: color, sketch or theme! There will be three link-ups below, so you enter your project into the category you have chosen! You can find images of all the previous collections in the Pinterest board here, or look through our previous challenges on the blog pages. 

Bonus link-up: Choose your favorite NND product! To make things even more fun, we've added a favorite product challenge link-up too! Just pick your favorite NND stamp, stencil, or die set and use it on your project to participate! Don't forget to tell us why it's your favorite when you write up your blog post! 

Can't decide on a favorite? You are welcome to choose more than one type of challenge and play multiple times! We are allowing up to 3 entries per participant into each category! If you decide to combine challenges, please only enter it into ONE link-up category.

Emily Lauritzen is back to share this amazing card using the IPC#13 sketch with textured tree rings from the Tree Rings stencil. She adds a black and white striped layer which she die cuts from the Frames & Flags die set.  She then adds a big bouquet of daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp and die set.  She adds the little banners in coordinating papers and adds the sentiment on the banner.  So nice to have Emily's talents joining us again!



Make every day a beach day by Amanda features Aloha Newton, Newton's Summer Vacation, and Sea & Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
This bright sunny scene at the beach created by Amanda Bodine looks like a slice of paradise. The yellow sunny background with the palm tree from the Aloha Newton stamp and die set creates a bit of shade for castle building and sunbathing!  Those sweet felines are from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp and die set. To create the scenic horizons, Amanda uses both the Sea Borders and the Land Borders die sets. 



You are simply mermazing by Ellen features Sunscape, Sea Borders, Land Borders, Message in a Bottle, Narly Mermaids, Purr-maid and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 For her first card, Ellen Haxelmans creates this dynamic scene using the colors (orange, yellow, & black) of Halloween!   She creates a fabulous sunset using the Sunscape stencil in orange and yellows. She then creates layers of blue waves using the Sea Borders die set and a sandy ocean bottom using the Land Borders die set.. She adds a boat that actually moves using the Message in a Bottle stamp and die set.  She then adds the beautiful mermaid from Narly Mermaids stamps and dies as well as elements ocean elements from Purr-maid stamps and dies. The sentiment was stamped and cut using the Frames & Flags die set.

Ellen Haxelmans creates another interactive card using the colors of the IPC#26 challenge with a nautical theme.  She creates a pink sky using Sunscape stencil and creates her ocean floor and water using the Land Borders and  Sea Borders die sets. She adds her movable boat using the Message in a Bottle stamp and die .  She adds a sweet manatee from the Manatee-rific stamp and die set.  She then adds more ocean elements using elements form Narly Mermaids stamps and dies , Purr-maid stamps and dies, and Shark Bites stamp set. 

Wish you were here by Andrea features Newton's Summer Vacation, Framework, Waves, Land, and Flower Trio by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Andrea Shell combined 4 different IPC challenges to create this summer paradise!  Using the Waves stencil she creates the water scene in the upper corner. She then uses the the Land Borders die set to separate the water from the beach.  She die cuts using the Framework die set. She places two felines from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp and die set who are enjoying the pleasures of summer. For her final touch, she adds a tropical flower from the Flower Trio die set. 



Toucan do it by Samantha features Tropical Leaves and Toucan Party by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Samantha Mann was wowed by the beauty of the IPC#51 Tropical Challenge.  She created her amazing background using the Tropical Leaves stencil in shades of green. She then adds her colorful toucan ad bright flowers and leaves from the Toucan Party stamp and die set.  She heat embosses the sentiment in white on a black banner and adds black & white striped washi tape and a few sequins to finish her pretty card!



Thankful for you by Zsofia features Framework, Argyle, Peony Blooms, and Thankful Thoughts by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Zsofia Molnar, a NND designer, shares this gorgeous card using the colors from the IPC#50 inspiration.  She chose the Peony Blooms stamp set colored with Copics and cut out using the coordinating die.  She blended her spectacular background using distress oxide inks which she die cut using a die from the Framework die set (Zsofia's favorite NND product!). She added texture using the Argyle stencil and heat embossed the sentiment using a sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set.

Inky Paws Challenge #24 - Sketch!

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, September 4th, 2015 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog on Monday, September 7th.

Are you ready to play along and get your paws inky?
  • Create a NEW project (card or other paper craft item).
  • Your project MUST use at least one Newton's Nook Designs stamped image (or free digital stamp - check out our Freebies page).
  • Post your project to your blog or to an online photo gallery such as FlickrPinterest, or splitcoaststampers (on splitcoast please use keywords newtonsnook and IPC24).
  • Link back to this challenge (if posting in an online gallery copy the link into the photo description).

Check out this beautiful under the sea scene that Larissa created for this challenge! She used our fun little Seahorse from the Tranquil Tides stamp set and cut him out with the coordinating Tranquil Tides die set! I love the added dimension she gave him with the white dots and the googlie eye!!

Here is a cute early christmas card by Samantha. I love the two bottle cut-outs with fish inside! Such a fun idea! She used our Message in a Bottle Stamp Set and Message in a Bottle Dies along with the SEAsons Greetings stamp set.

Here is a fun birthday card by Crafty Math-Chick! I love how she used the bright colored balloon paper paired with the black and white colored kitty from the Newton's Antics Stamp set. She also used our new coordinating Newton's Anitcs purr-fect die set to cut out that cute kitty!

Here's a card I created using our Mermaid Crossing stamp set. I colored the image on watercolor paper with Zig Clean Color watercolor markers. I love how vibrant these are! Then I added some fun bubble paper for the background and a fun blue twine bow!
