Inky Paws Challenge #96 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.
Theme Challenge

Create a project using colored pencils. 

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 




Debbie Owens created this fun birthday card by combining several NND products. Using the Framework die set she creates her burnt orange layer. She then uses the Hardwood stencil and colored pencils to create the hardwood layer which she die cuts using the Frames & Flags die set. She wraps these layers with twine. She adds the darling chickens from the Cluck stamp set with dimensional foam. She stamps the sentiments and cuts them using the Speech Bubbles dies set.

You're Moo-velous! by Diane features Moo, Oink, and Fence by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates a fabulous circle card! She creates her vivid blue sky and adds a bit of green grass on which she places the white fence using the Fence die. She adds the sweet cow and bales of hay from the Moo stamp and die set. Then she places a very tired pig from the Oink stamp and die set on her bales of hay!



Thinking of you by Sue features Peony Blooms and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. gives us this stunning card using the Peony Blooms stamp set that she colors with Faber Castell water color pencils. She creates the postage-stamp edges for her base by using the Framework die set. She stamps the sentiment and adds a splattering of enameled dots as finishing touches!

Becky Noelle.had to sharpen her colored pencils a lot when she created this beauty! She colored her base by using the Tree Rings stencil. Then she pulls out the Peony Blooms stamp set and colors them in lovely shades of yellow. She adds hand-drawn stems which she bundles together with a twine bow. She adds a white stripe and stamps the sentiment.


May you days be filled with surprises by Bobbi features Evergreens, Bokeh, Cloudy Sky, and Raccoon Rascals by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates this stunning night scene starting with the Evergreens Stencil. She adds that full moon using the Bokeh Stencil Set and adds clouds using the Cloudy Sky Stencil. She then adds the trio of nocturnal raccoons using the Raccoon Rascals stamp set. She adds hand drawn grass and stars to complete her amazing scene!

Inky Paws Challenge #96

We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

Thanks a bunch by Debbie features Garden Mice, Floral Fringe, and Frames Squared by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens cuts an olive green scalloped-edge frame using the Frames Squared die set which provides a nice background to the Floral Fringe stamp.  She colors the flowers in an assortment of spring colors. She then adds one of the darling mice from the Garden Mice stamp set. She adds a vertical stripe of black and white houndtooths washi tape for her final touch.


Reach for the stars by Diane features Cosmic Newton, Cloudy Sky, and Sky Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales pulled out her brand new water color pencils and created this amazing sky using the Cloudy Sky stencil.  She then creates some big fluffy white clouds using the Sky Borders die set which she stamps with the sentiment before layering the clouds up.  For her "star" attraction, she has Newton blasting off in his spaceship from the Cosmic Newton stamp and die set.


Sue T. presents this stunning card in these rich, dark hues! She creates her square base using the newly released Frames Squared die set. She then stamps the floral image from Floral Fringe stamp set on black card stock and heat embosses in white. Then she colors the blooms in these beautiful hues using Caran d’Ache pencils. She completes her card by heating embossing the sentiment on black and die cutting.  Magnificent!

Happy Birthday by Becky features Uplifting Wishes, Bokeh, and Fancy Edges Tag by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle bubbly card is so delightful!  She creates her bubbly background by coloring the dots using the Bokeh stencil set. She uses a little Gamsol to blend out some of the pencil strokes. She then stamps the sentiment from Uplifting Wishes stamp set on vellum and cuts out two tags using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She stitches them together and adds chunky glitter and sequins to make a festive shaker pocket. Super fun and festive!

Bobbi Lemanski brings us this out-of-this-world card!  On her dark card base, Bobbi uses the Bokeh stencil set to create a galaxy of planets!  She then adds a birthday wish using the Uplifting Wishes stamp set in the center of the card!  She also adds some silver glimmer in her outer space card!

This delightful spring card created by Tracie begins with a floral pattern paper die cut using the scalloped frame from the Frames & Flags die set. She adds a green floral paper cut using the inner frame die and adds a pink layer featuring butterflies. She creates a fluffy cloud tag on which she places one of the darling mice from the Garden Mice stamp set. She adds a banner of tiny flags and a yellow sun to complete her spring scene!

Thanks for taking care of me by Kimmie features Newton's Sick Day by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Kimmie's creative get well card is sure to bring smiles to any caretaker!  She begins by repeatedly stamping and coloring Rx bottles, tissue boxes, and bandages from the Newton's Sick Day stamp set. She then cleverly adds a bandage-like strip on which she places her shaker tag.  This tag features Nurse Newton again from Newton's Sick Day stamp set.

Feeling Slothy by Amy features Slothy Coffee and Cuppa Cactus by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy  combines too unlikely elements on her card--a tropical rain forest sloth and cacti--that will surely delight any coffee-loving person!  For the horizontal element she creates three stripes in orange, golden rod, and navy. Then she uses the mimics these colors for the coffee cup from the Slothy Coffee stamp and die set.  She then colors the two coffee mugs from the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die set but she shades the sloth and cacti which makes the blue blooms really pop!

I {heart} London by Candice features Newton Dreams of London by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Candice blows us away with this amazing card!  Using many elements from the Newton Dreams of London stamp and die set, Candice creates the base by repeatedly stamping the I {heart} London.  She then creates the horizontal stripe by stamping and coloring the telephone booth, Big Ben clock and double-decker bus.  For her center banner, she water colors a blue background and die cuts fluffy clouds with another Big Ben clock and Newton floating along with his umbrella!

Big Wishes by Mary features Argyle and Winter Birds by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Mary's monochromatic masterpiece features shades of brown! She begins by using the Argyle stencil set in on which she places a tan stripe that has been embossed with an argyle pattern. She creates a double layered tag on which she adds her spectacularly colored bird from the Winter Bird stamp and die set.

Becky's FAVE
Bake, Stir, Sprinkle, Mix by Nancy features Made from Scratch and Newton's Kitchen by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
We love the simplicity of the black and white images from the Made from Scratch stamp set that Nancy stamps.  She adds a lively pink gingham stripe which contrasts nicely.  For her tag, she adds Chef Newton from the Newton's Kitchen stamp and die set who is whipping up something delicious!
She sprinkles on some enameled dots for her final touch!

This card is for all those dog lovers out there! Bobbi Lemanski used the Woof Pack stamp set to place on her black tag in which she added white stitching. She added twine for the bow and places this delightful card atop black graphing paper and a lime green base!


Happy Birthday by Debbie features Uplifting Wishes and Balloons by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a CAS birthday card full of balloons using bright colors and the Balloons stencil. She creates two tags in diagonal striped paper and stamps the sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set. She adds pink and white twine and sequins to finish it off.


Friends fur-ever by Diane features Puppy Pals, Framework, Fancy Edges Tag, and Plaid by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Here's another card that will win over a dog lover's heart. This one is by Diane Morales. Diane creates her base by using the edge from the Framework die set. She then creates a wonderful plaid background using the Plaid stencil set and texture paste.   She uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create her fun banner and offers a How-To on her blog. For her main attraction she softly colors the puppies from the Puppy Pals stamp set. She adds a pop of red with the two little hearts!


Have an egg-stra special day by Sue features Newton's Easter Basket and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
With Easter just around the corner, Sue T.'s is sure to be a hit. Her pretty card begins with a die cut layer using the Frames & Flags die set. She adds horizontal score marks and adheres this layer on a white base. Her tag features this sweet collection of critters and eggs from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set in pale pastel colors. She adds touches of sparkle on her Easter eggs.


Your sparkle by Becky features Bokeh and Believe in Unicorns by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates this rainbow-colored card using the Bokeh stencil. She inked up the rainbow background and then mixed some glitter in with an embossing paste which she spread over one of the stencils on top of her inked circles. With such a sparkly background, she pairs it with the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set. She adds a black banner and a vellum tag with the sentiment embossed in white to finish her amazing card!

Bobbi Lemanski creates this fabulous card by creating a watery background on which she adds her vertical striped lake-themed paper. She creates her tag and adds a navy blue border.  She runs rope through the little tabs at the top and adds a bit of jute.  She stamps the poem from the Lake Advice stamp set.  She embosses the birthday sentiment from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set in white on a red strip. A sprinkling of blue sequins completes the card wonderfully.

I'd rather be lost at the lake by Debbie features Tree Rings, Flower Trio, and Winston's Lake House by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a rustic-like card by creating the background using the Tree Rings stencil and die cut using the Framework die set.  Instead of a vertical strip, she layers leaves using the Flower Trio die set before adding the center tag which she distresses the edges using brown ink. She adds the sentiment and cabin using the Winston's Lake House stamp set.  She adds a neutral twine and bow to finish it off.

Have a mice day by Diane features Garden Mice, Bold Blooms, Framework, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates this soft, sweet card which features one of the mice images from the Garden Mice stamp and die set. She creates her card base by cutting the Framework die set. She then cuts another layer using the Flags & Frames die set from this pretty floral paper. For her white tag, she adds texture using the Bold Blooms stencil. She adds her sentiment (Garden Mice) on a white tag and hangs it on with a yellow and white twine. Super sweet!

 Sue T. creates this bright, bold card by coordinating the red polka dotted paper with the spots on the mushroom!  She cuts her base using the Framework die set and adds her pattern paper. For her center tag, she adds the sentiment and this sweet mouse from the Garden Mice stamp and die set. To finish her card, she tops the tag with a white and black striped washi tape.  Too cute!

April showers bring May flowers by Becky features April Showers and Bold Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates this stunning card by using texture paste on the Bold Blooms stencil set. She then carefully colored in the flowers on top of the textured paste!  Just amazing!  She then added a vellum striped layer. For her center banner she stamps the sentiment from the April Showers stamp set. She winds jute twine several times and adds a bow to finish it off.

Irene designed this sweet CAS card. In the tulip garden, she adds this delightful bunny from the Hello Spring (retired) stamp set. She adds a some grass and butterfly to finish her scene.  Her fun banners at the bottom add a nice splash of the challenge colors!

Happy Easter by Jennifer features Newton's Easter Basket by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Jennifer shows her great style and uses the challenge colors so well in this darling square card. 
She uses the pink striped pattern paper for her base, then adds the center square with it's pretty blue sky. The kitty peeking out of the eggshell is from the Newton's Easter Basket is colored in the pastel challenge colors and placed in a grassy layer.

Relax, read, and repeat by Mary features Newton's Book Club by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Mary Reiner creates this fun scene!  She uses the Newton's Book Club stamp and die set and places the sleepy kitty behind a window. This is all placed on an embossed layer which she has framed with a teal background.What a purr-fect way to spend a lazy day!

Inky Paws Challenge #94 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.

Color Challenge
Create a project using the colors: white, pink, baby blue, and mint.

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 


My heart smiles just thinking of you by Becky features Loads of Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates a fabulous textured background and adds a partial light green doily on which she stamps the sentiment from the Loads of Blooms stamp set. She creates a very full tulip bouquet (Loads of Blooms) by adding layers of tulips and using dimensional tape. Definitely a lovely card! 
  
Hugs by Bobbi features Sending Hugs by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates these sweet trio of cards by pulling out the smaller elements from the  Sending Hugs stamp set and repeatedly stamping. She softly colors them in the pastel challenge colors and adds a small banner with a single word sentiment.  Not sure which is cuter--the ice cream cones, the cupcakes, or the bouquet of spring flowers?  They are all just precious!


You make me a happy camper by Debbie features Cozy Campers and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens gets us in the mood for camping!  She begins by grounding her design with a blue vertically striped paper. She then cuts the sentiment layer using one of the dies from Framework die set. She stamps the camping sentiment from the Cozy Campers stamp set and adds some flowers. She then uses the challenge colors to shade the vintage travel camper.  The little pink flamingos are a whimsical touch to finish the scene.

Diane Morales creates this delightful card by using the Framework die set for her card base.  She uses mint green and sky blue to create her amazing background using the Bokeh stencil set. She incorporates the pink form the challenge colors by coloring the large flower from the Garden Mice stamp and die set in pink. Using the banner from the Frame & Flags die set, she stamps the sentiment.  Again, so delightful!


Hippity Hoppity by Sue features Cottage Garden, Argyle, and Spring Pile Up by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this striking Easter card by using the challenge colors for her pretty background using the Argyle stencil set. She then stamps a trio of sweet bunnies from the Cottage Garden stamp and die set. She then pairs the bunnies up with the "Hippity Hoppity" sentiment from the Spring Pile Up stamp set.  Just love how Sue mixes and matches sets to create such a fun card!
