Create a project using hearts!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Debbie Owens goes a bit rogue from her counterparts and uses some nontraditional Valentine colors for her punny card.  She uses the newly released A7 Frames & Banners die set to make her fuchsia scalloped layer and adheres it to her black card base. She then uses the Gingham stencil in a dark gray for her 'place setting'. She die cuts two hearts( Heart Frames die set) and shades them in gray and fuchsia. Her main entree...I mean attraction is the little kitten from the Knead Kittens stamp set with his jelly jar sidekick from the Love Bites stamp set. A bit of Glossy Accents adds a bit of dimension and shine to her jam!

Diane Morales' card is brimming with hearts!  Beginning with the Circle Frames die set, she creates her shaped card base. Then adds a layer of hearts from the Love and Meows paper pad. She continues by adding more hearts using the Heart Frames die set. On a wavy black banner (A7 Frames & Banners die set) she heat embosses the sentiment from the Love Bots stamp set.  Heart overload, and loving it!

Sue T. is featuring this darling duo from the Newton's Sweetheart stamp and die set. Don't you love how their tails form a heart?  {sigh} She then adds a vellum heart die cut from the Heart Frames die set.  All of this is atop an ombre heart strip created using the Bokeh Hearts stencil.  Definitely romance in the air!

Amy Tollner's card uses the Heartfelt Love stamp which always reminds me of a box of chocolate!  She embosses the image in white on her ombre' heart die which was cut using the scallop-edged die from the Heart Frames die set. She sets this atop an ombre' bed of hearts using the newly released Petite Hearts stencil and die cut using the scalllop-edged die from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.  Her embossed sentiment has been die cut using the round-edged die from the Banner Trio die set.  Pretty in pinks, indeed!

Claire Lamb goes all out with a super-sized shaker card using the A7 Frames & Banners die set.  How fun is this?  Behind all those sparkly sequins, you'll spy lots of hearts die cut using various dies from the Heart Frames die set.  Atop a vellum heart, she has added a trio of black mini banners with sentiments from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. Anyone else want to give this card a little shake?

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, February 26, 2021 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Diane Morales creates a water colored background in shades of greens and teals. She uses the Circle Frames die set to create a scallop-edged circle as well as a circular card. She adds a couple of paw prints and the sentiment. Her main attraction is the darling kitten from the Smitten Kittens stamp and die set.  Her light coloring of the kitten is spe-cat-ular!  

Newton looks darling floating amid all those green and blue balloons! Sue T.'s festive card uses the Balloons stencil with watercolors. She uses the rounded rectangle frame from the Frames & Flags die set. Next she colors Newton from the Newton's Birthday Balloons  stamp set in soft grays. She cuts using the coordinating die set. 

Amy T shares her watercolor master piece that features the newly released Newton peeking from his pink mug!  This sweet image is from the Newton's Mug stamp and cut using the coordinating die. She adds white flowers using a little image from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set. If that was cute enough, she adds the smiling muffin from the Love Bites stamp and die set.  Using the dies from the Frames Squared die set, she cuts multiple layers.  She uses the Pawprints stencil and water color pens for the mat around her kitty. At last she pulls the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set and stamps the sentiment.  Cute!  

Claire Lamb uses watercolors for her rainy scene!  Her water-laden clouds die cut using the Sky Borders die set are sprinkling on her darling critters from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp and die set.  Those rain boots look darling with their hearts stamped on them and colored in pastels.  And her ducks look like they are having fun playing in her watercolor puddle!  A wonderfully designed spring card!

 Debbie Owens uses dies from the Frames & Flags die set to create her layers. Her main layer is a watercolor layer in purples and blues on which she uses the Floral Lace stencil with white paint. She adds a vellum heart die cut using the Heart Frames die set. She adds flowers from the Flower Trio die set before adding the word love die cut from the Darling Hearts die set.  The sweet fawn and friend from the Woodland Spring stamp set tops off her card.  A combination of cuteness with elegance!

Miss Boo uses the very punny stamp set, Love Bites, to create her darling Valentine's Day card. She places the two muffins on a white base with the sentiment then adheres to her dark pink card base. The big heart and pink heart paper are wonderful additions!

Crystal's FAVE

Priscilla Joseph showcases the Newton's Movie Night stamp set with a Valentine's twist!  On her black card base she adds buttery-colored hearts as well as a few red ones falling down on the movie goers from the Newton's Movie Night stamp set!  She embosses the sentiment in white!  Vibrant and fun!

Debbie's FAVE

Billie blends a soft peach background on which she adds snowy white hills using the Land Borders die set. Using the tree from the Newton Hangs Out  stamp set and adds the birdhouse from the Newton's Birdhouse stamp set.  The deer from the Deer Friend stamp set are surrounded with red birds and a splattering of hearts!  Such a romantic, winter scene!

Diane's FAVE

Vicki creates a flip card that is just too cute!  She selects fun Valentine papers and partially cuts a heart on red card stock. She then adds a white heart and adds the birds from the Gull Friends stamp and die set.  Don't you love the little heart added to one of the gulls?  

Sue's FAVE

Vicki uses the Plaid stencil set to create a red and pink plaid background. She then die cuts it with a heart and adds a scallop-edged red heart.  She places her gray tabby cat from the Sending Hugs stamp and die set and adds a scrumptious-looking cupcake!  She adds several small hearts for her added touches!  Such a darling CAS card!


Becky's FAVE

Amy T.'s caffeinated card is just filled with fun!  She selects a pattern paper with rows and rows of coffee cups and dies cut using the Framework die set. This makes the perfect background for her tag from the Fancy Edges Tag die set with it's latte-loving kitty from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp and die set. The red bow and enameled hearts are perfect touches to complete this fabulous card!
