Inky Paws Challenge #39 - Use a Heart!

This month's challenge is a:

Heart Theme Challenge

Create a project using a Heart somewhere on it!

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome cards they created, inspired by this fun, festive theme! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Debbie Owens made a card that incorporates the theme and the colors from the photo. She used the squirrel and nut from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set to create this super cute love card.

This card is by Samantha Mann! This fun lemur is from the Wild About Zoo stamp set and the die is from the Darling Hearts Die Set. Such a pretty love themed card.

Tatiana Trafimovich created this beautiful winter scene! She used the adorable snowmen from the Frozen Friends stamp set to create this sweet winter card.

This card is by Jess Gerstner! The pie and sentiments are from the Love à La Carte stamp set and the solid hearts are from other NND sets. This is a clean and simple Valentine that would be easy to mass produce. 

Here's a card by Jennifer Jackson! She used the image of the two dogs Darling Duos stamp set and the coordinating Darling Hearts Die Set to create this adorable Valentine.

Our first winner is this awesome ice cream card by Naki! We love how she used colors in the color challenge to create scoops of ice cream - and the fun kitty on top is from our Newton's Antics stamp set!  

Our second winner is this beautiful coffee card by Vicki! We love how she used colors in the color challenge to make a gorgeous gradient background and the she also added some fun details on the coffee cup from the Love à la Carte stamp set with glitter and glossy accents!

Shannon created this awesome scalloped circle card using the color combo and the roses from our Love Grows stamp set! So Gorgeous! 

 Tatiana used a "spotlighting" technique on her card with the Years of Cheers stamp set! I love this idea to include the colors! Check out her blog post to see more on this fun technique! 

This card by Kamay really caught our eye! We loved how she used the colors to accent the tiny flower pot image! The flowers and sentiment are from the Versatile Vases Stamp set!

Inky Paws #06 Challenge - WINNERS! 

We had so much fun checking out all the entries for our sixth Inky Paws Challenge at here at the Newton's Nook Designs blog! This time we switched things up and did a COLOR challenge - and all our participants really did a great job with it! As always- it's hard to pick a winner! Thanks to everyone who played along! This card by Tanja is so cute! Love the coloring on the kitty and the dot pattern. Plus, the woodgrain frame is so fun! Tanja used our  our Newton's Antics set!

We loved the fun layout on this card with the folded paper corner by Barbara! What a great idea for double-sided papers! Barbara used our Love à la Carte Set. 

This bright and colorful, Warhol inspired card by Jen also caught our eye! I love the simple, bright composition!  Jen used the cheese grater from our Just Say Cheese set.

Happy Friday and the the first day of #06 Inky Paws Challenge!  We're shaking things up a bit this year and decided to do a color challenge instead of a sketch this month!

I just loved these yummy-looking heart cookies for this month's inspiration. The colors we're looking for in projects are: Coral • Golden Yellow • Teal blue • Light Green

Here's a fun little note card set by Valerie Ward using our Love à la Carte stamp set! Wouldn't these be fun little love notes to tuck into lunches?

 Taheerah Atchia used the Newton's Antics stamp set to create this adorable tag!
Isn't it neat how she created balls of yarn in the key colors? And she snuck in the little heart thought bubble from the Just Say Cheese set too!  

Larissa Heskett  the used the cupcake from our Love à la Carte stamp set stamp set to create pops of color against a gray background! I love how the colors pop! She also used the "hello" sentiment from the Winged Wishes stamp set! 

Tessa Wise the used the sugar stamp from our Love à la Carte stamp set stamp on this fun card! Isn't the bright teal and pink combo so pretty?

What a cute scene with Newton created by Danielle Pandeline! She used 3 different sets - the Kitty from Newton's Holiday Mischief, the squirrel from Sweetheart Tails and the "hello" sentiment from Winged Wishes! So fun!  Love the polka dots on his belly!'

And a card from me :) I used the snuggling kitties from the  Newton's Antics stamp set and watercolored them to bring in the yellow. Then I used patterned papers and a green card base to bring in the other colors!
