Inky Paws Challenge #237 Week 4

 

 Welcome to Inky Paws'  

February Challenge!

For the month of February 

we have a fabulous sketch to play with!

You still have time to get creative with this layered sketch and your NND Products!

You have until Friday, February 28, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

Birthday cards, St. Patrick's Day cards, spring cards, maybe a jump start to Christmas cards?  What occasion will you be inspired to use?  Let's check out what the IPC created: 

Deb's Halloween card features Pumpkin Patch, Halloween Party, Frames & Flags, Trick or Treat Newton, and Trick or Treat Puppy by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #inkypawschallenge, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns; #halloweencard, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #catcards, #dogcards
Debbie Owens has skipped all the spring holidays and jumped right into Halloween! Her card base features the Pumpkin Patch stencil in shades of pink and oranges. She then pulls a trio of papers from the Halloween Party paper pad and adds black mats to each to break up the many different patterns. She die cuts her banner using the Frames & Flags die set. She then adds a duo of trick-or-treaters from the Trick or Treat Newton and the Trick or Treat Puppy stamp set.  There's a lot going on in Deb's card, but all those different elements add up to a festive Halloween card!

Amy's Easter card features Newton's Peeps, Springtime, Spring Blooms, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #eastercards, #springcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Amy Tollner is sharing her delightful Easter card filled with flowers, butterflies, and peeps! Her wonderful combination of papers come from the  Springtime and the Spring Blooms paper pads . She uses the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set for her butterfly banner.  Her start attraction is her gray tabby from the Newton's Peeps stamp and coordinating die set who seems to be delight with his basketful of peeps!  A colorful way to celebrate Easter!

Claire Lamb is using a favorite combination of colors-teal, read, and pink! {sigh!} She showcases the tower of mugs from the Coffee Delights stamp and coordinating die set. Her teal and red papers from the Bright Basics and A Dog's Life paper pads mimic the hearts and stripes on a couple of mugs! So much caffeinated cuteness!

Crystal's St. Patty's Day card showcases Newton's Pot of Gold, Circle Frames, and Pastel Basics by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #stpatricksday, #stpatricksdaycards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Crystal Minkler is celebrating St. Patrick's Day with this festive, green card!  She features Newton from the Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set set atop three green pattern papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. Her circular vellum element was cut using the Circle Frames die set. Such a wonderful combination of patterns for this delightful card!

Danni's thank you card showcases Dainty Daisies, Bright Basics, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #thankyoucards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #springcards, #daisycards
Danni Bindel's rainbow of pattern papers brightens one day!  She pulls a slew of papers from the Bright Basics paper pad and cuts her main panel and banner with dies from the Frames & Flags die set. She adds a sprig of daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp and coordinating die set to make a card fill with gratitude and cheerfulness!

Inky Paws Challenge #233-Week 3

  

  Welcome to another week of our 

Monthly 

Inky Paws Challenge!

For the month of October 

we have fabulous colors to play with!

Use Burnt Orange, Olive Green, Slate Gray, and Cream with your NND products. 
You have three more weeks to get creative with these colors and your NND Products!

You have from Monday, October 7, 2024 to Friday, November 1, 2024 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This color combination would make gorgeous Fall projects, but don't limit yourself.  How about using these colors for a Halloween-themed card or a masculine birthday card?  So many possibilities!  Let's see what our IPC DT came up with:

Claire's spooky card features Haunted House, Spooky Sky, and Spiderweb Oval by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #halloweencards
Claire Lamb uses dies to create this spooky scene. On her spooky distressed background, she adds a gray haunted house using the Haunted House die, and she adds a moon and a splattering of clouds using the Spooky Sky Die set. Her little "Eeek!" sentiment is from the Spiderweb Oval stamp set. A spook-taculalr way to use the challenge colors!

Crystal's autumn card features Autumn Reads, Never Enough Books, Falling Leaves, Autumn Meows, Circle Frames, Basic Frames, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #autumncards, #fallcards
Crystal Minkler creates layers of autumn beauty with this stylish card. She creates her many layers using the Frames & Flags die set, the Basic Frames die set, and the Circle Frames die set. She pulls the plaid paper from the Autumn Meows paper pad and creates her own design paper by using the Falling Leaves stencil. She showcases the stack of books from the Autumn Reads stamp and the coordinating die set for the little leaf.  Her final touch is a perfect sentiment from the  Never Enough Books stamp set. 

Danni's Oops card features Black & White Basics, Frames & Flags, and Naughty Newton by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #sorrycards, #catcards
Danni Bindel's "oops! card really showcases the slate gray from the color challenge. She uses two gray papers from the Black & White Basics paper pad with dies from the Frames & Flags die set to create her layers. She then uses one of the naughty kitty images from the Naughty Newton stamp and coordinating die set colored in the other challenge colors.  Such a sweet way to send an I'm sorry message!

Deb's Give Thanks card features Newton's Thanksgiving, Fall Harvest, Autumn Basics, and Fall Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #autumncards, #catcards, #fallcards, #givethankscards
Not only does Debbie Owens capture the bounty of the harvest season, but also the wonderful desserts it brings!  Deb combines the basket of pumpkins image from the Fall Harvest stamp set with the pie making kitty and the overly full feline from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set for a delightful Thanksgiving card. She uses the Basic Frames die set with papers from the Autumn Basics paper pad for her layers and a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout stamp set.

Amy Tollner creates the sweetest fall card with these darling mice from the Autumn Mice stamp and coordinating die set. Amy creates a subtle backdrop using the Pumpkin Patch stencil and adds a gray frame using the Frames & Tags die set Her amazing coloring captures the autumn feel wonderfully!

Inky Paws Challenge #206 Winners

Angy Hughes was also inspired to create a coffee-themed card using the challenge colors. She uses the  Mugs stencil to create a colorful background.  She then adds the image from the Sips & Stories stamp set.  The overall effect is a cozy scene just right for a little kitty cuddle, a good book, and a cup of java!


Danni's FAVE
Life's not so ruff at the beacy by Danielle features Corgi Beach, Hibiscus, and Flags & Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #puppycards, #beachcards, #summercards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Danielle creates a wonderful summer scene with the hibiscus floral background (Hibiscus )stencil. The little puppies from the Corgi Beach stamp and die set look like they are having the time of their life on their floaties. Danielle also uses the Flags & Frames die set.

Meghan uses orange, teal, and yellow for her patch of pumpkins which is just so cute, and those tan kitties--adorable!  This image is from the Pumpkin Patch stamp set.  Meghan's use of fun pattern papers adds to the overall cuteness of her card!

Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice by Gail features Pumpkin Latte, Forest Scene Builder, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #coffeecards, #pumpkinspicecards, #autumncards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Gail was also inspired to use the challenge colors for a pumpkin patch scene, and her pattern paper is perfect for the job.  She adds some trees using the Forest Scene Builder die set, and her latte-laden lady is looking fabulous in her polka dotted coat. This fun image is from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and coordinating die set.  Gail also uses the Framework die set.  A lovely autumn scene!

Jennifer K. uses the retiring Knight Owl stamp set for her fabulous card!  Her little knight in shining armor sits atop a branch with a gorgeous full moon behind him. A fabulously designed card!

Inky Paws Challenge #206 Reminder

Have you had a chance to make a card for our latest Inky Paws Challenge? 

Here's a refresher.

Use the Colors-Sunset Orange, Turquoise, Sunflower Yellow, and Maple Brown-Stripes--with your NND products. 


Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 


May the colors of fall bring you a harvest of joy by Crystal features Harvest Haul, Pumpkin Patch, Land Borders, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #autumncards, #fallcards, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking
Crystal Minkler's teal truck from the Harvest Haul Stamp Set is laden with the bounty of harvest. She adds some distressed pumpkins using the Pumpkin Patch stencil set cut using the scallop-edging frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. She grounds her truck by adding some hills using the Land Borders Die Set. A remarkable autumn card!



Danni Bindel uses the Serene Stripes Stencil with the challenge colors to create an amazing autumn background. She uses the postage-edge frame die from the Frameworks die set to complete the background. Her star attraction is the wheelbarrow from the Newton's Harvest Time stamp and coordinating die set. Don't you just love the teal pumpkin?



Debbie Owens teal distressed background works purr-fectly with the plaid paper from the Autumn paper pad. To cut her layers, she uses dies from the Frames & Flags die set. She combines the sunflower arrangement from the Fall Harvest stamp set with the sunflower image from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set. The final touch is the gold-foil sentiment using the Autumn Greetings Hot Foil Plates. An amazing way to combine NND products!




Amy Tollner features lots of orange pumpkins! For her background she uses the Pumpkin Patch stencil set with scallop-edging created using a frame from the Frames & Flags die set. Amy then adds a vellum oval (Oval Frames die set) with the image from the Signs of Fall stamp and coordinating die set set a top it. The little splash of teal is a perfect touch for this amazing card!




Claire Lamb was also inspired by those beautiful sunflower arrangements from the Fall Harvest stamp and coordinating die set. She also adds the sweet kitty from the same stamp set. Her sweet Siamese kitty looks so cute peeking above the basket. For her background layer, Claire adds subtle leaves using the Falling Leaves stencil as well as a die from the Frames & Flags die set. Such a beautiful card!

Inky Paws Challenge Reminder #159

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Amy Tollner showcases the cute kitties from the Autumn Newton stamp and die set.  She places them on a stitched rounded-corner square (Frames Square die set) with falling leaves backdrop (Falling Leaves stencil). Hidden behind are gorgeous pumpkins (Pumpkin Patch stencil). 


Let it snow by Claire features Whispering Pines by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook
Claire Lamb showcases the sketch with her one-layer card and the Whispering Pines stamp set. Her layers of trees in shades of green are just beautiful!



Happy fall by Debbie features Framework, Autumn Newton, Slimline Frames & Windows, and Frames Squared by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #autumncards, #cardmaking, #catcards, #fallcards
 Debbie Owens showcases the  Autumn Newton stamp set on a pretty pattern paper.  She adds a glitter gold frame die cut using the Framework die set. She adds a brown mesh lace for a nice country touch. The sentiment is from the Roundabout stamp set and was cut between words to fit on the stitched circle (Frames Squared die set).  Additional die sets used:  Slimline Frames & Windows (stitched square) and  Frames & Flags (scallop-edged background). 

 

Trick or treat by Diane features Candy Corn, Batty Newton, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook
Diane Morales showcases the Batty Newton stamp and die set.  She places him on a scallop-edged frame (Framework die set) with a candy corn backdrop (Candy Corn stencil set). She pulls the sentiment from the Newton's Costume Party stamp set placed on black award ribbon.  



Savior the small moments by Sue features Falling Leaves, Autumn Mice, Frames Squared, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs: #inkypaws, #newtonsnook
Sue T. showcases one of the sweet mice from the Autumn Mice stamp and die set. She places him on a Kraft decorative square (Frames Squared die set) with a falling leaves backdrop (Falling Leaves stencil) die cut using the rounded-rectangle die from Frames & Flags die set. The sentiment was stamped on a stitched circle using the Frames Squared die set.

Priscilla's subtle coloring really catches the eye.  She uses the Pumpkin Patch stencil and the little kitten in the pumpkin from the Trick or Treat Kittens stamp and coordinating die set for her fun card.  Just love the  gray pumpkin.  Very creative!

Vanessa creates a darling birthday card featuring the Cluck stamp set. Her choice of orange gingham paper looks great with her blue distressed background. The jute twine adds a nice country touch with her brood of hens!  Cute!

Rookie Card Maker creates an eye-catching CAS card filled with autumn favorites!  Using the newly released Heartfelt Gourds stamp set, Rookie Card Maker strategically stamps to create a stripe of gourds which she beautifully colors.  She cuts a few out and places them above her white strip.  Wonderfully designed!

Witching you a Happy Halloween by Becca features Brooms & Boos by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #halloweencards, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking
Becca uses the Brooms & Boos stamp and coordinating die set for this super fun Halloween card!  Her spiderweb paper is a great match for the witch.  We just love how Becca colored the witch's hair green!  Super cute!


Claire's FAVE
You make life sweeter by Karen features Love & Chocolate by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #chocolatecards
Karen's creative use of the sketch is amazing as is her coloring of those colorful macaroons!
She uses the Love & Chocolate stamp set to make a stack of macaroons that truly do look scrumptious!  Super sweet!
