Inky Paws Challenge #240 Week 1

May Challenge!

For May, we have a fun sketch that 
you can use for any occasion!

You have four weeks to get creative with this sketch using your NND Products!

You have from Monday, May 5, 2025 to Friday, May 30, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month's month sketch is super versatile as you will see with the IPC DTs projects.  Are you inspired to make summer cards, Father's Day cards, Halloween, or maybe even a Christmas one!

Danni Bindel was inspired to make this delightful puppy card using the Fetching Friendship stamp set. She selects papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad and uses the Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets to create her multiple layers.  Love that this pup has a stash of tennis balls!

Debbie Owens is inspired to create a Christmas card. She uses papers from the Canine Christmas paper pad and die cut using the zig-zag frame die from the Frames & Tags die set. She then pulls out the Christmas Puppies stamp set and selects the same puppy as on the paper. Since this is a taller image, Deb opts to use an oval(Oval Frames) instead of a circle from the sketch.  Good job getting a jump start on your Christmas stash with this adorable card!

Amy Tollner decides on a floral card filled with spring freshness. She pulls papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad and layers them on her chartreuse green card base. She uses the Circle Frames die set for her stitched circle on which she has placed some sweet lilies of the valley using the Little Lilies stamp and coordinating die set.  So pretty!

Claire Lamb uses the sketch for this playful card spotlighting this delightful puppy trio from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set. For her background, Claire uses papers from the Spring Blooms and the Pastel Basics paper pads and adds her sentiment in a little stitched circle from the Frames Squared die set. The pink and green combination looks so pretty together!

Crystal Minkler is also adding to her stash of Christmas cards with this festive holiday card. She pulls a trio of pattern papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad and uses the Framework die set to create her scallop-edged frame. She adds a stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set. The little wreath and sentiment are from the Holiday Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set  and add to the festivitity and charm of this pretty card!

Inky Paws Challenge #213

 

   Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This is a sketch challenge.

Use the challenge sketch with your NND products. 

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

Debbie Owens creates this whimsical puppy card by combining the holiday bone paper from the Canine Christmas paper pad with the playful puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp set. She uses the Framework die set to create the postage-edging on both panels. She places her sentiment on the stitiched ticket and adds a sparkly red bow (Pines & Holly die set). Darling!

Amy Tollner also showcases the puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp and die set. She pulls different papers from the Canine Christmas paper pad and places her sentiment on an oval using hte Oval Frames die set.  Don't you love how Deb and Amy use the same image and paper pad and designed two darlingly different cards?  

Claire Lamb opts to showcase a kitten instead of puppies. For her card, she creates a cozy living room scene using the newly released Cozy Home stamp set.  She adds the brown striped paper from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. Such a brilliant way to interpret the challenge sketch!

Crystal Minkler makes this festive holiday card by flipping the sketch for a vertical card. She uses papers from the Christmas Time paper pad and cuts the polka dotted panel using the Frames & Flags die set.  Her main attraction are those shiny bells from the Bells & Holly stamp and coordinating die set. She stamps her sentiment on an oval using the Oval Frames die set. Beautiful!

Danni Bindel creates a get well card using the Newton's Sick Day Stamp Set and Matching Dies. Those fun papers are from the A Cat's Life paper pad. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to create her scallop-edging and the Oval Frames die set for her sentiment.  A wonderful way to help someone get feeling better!

Use your NND products with the theme-Holiday!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales showcases these sweet puppies from the Christmas Puppies stamp set and die set on her duo of tags.  She pulls festive papers from the Christmas Time paper pad as well as the banner die from the Slimline Frames & Window die set. These sweet tags will definitely adorn packages quite nicely.

Amy Tollner creates a lovely living room scene just perfect for these tired fur balls.  She creates a subtle "wallpaper" using the Serene Stripes stencil die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set.  Asleep on her pretty blue chair are the fur balls from the Christmas Nap stamp and die set. Her glittery sentiment is also from the Christmas Nap die set.  

Claire Lamb uses light distressing of pink for her living room walls.  She, too, is showcasing the Christmas Nap stamp and die set.  Aren't her fur babies just adorable atop the blue, plush chair? Claire pulls the sentiment from the Winter Birds stamp set.  Definitely a warm, cozy scene!

Debbie Owens creates a window-like shaker card looking outside at the festive critters from the  Caroling Newton stamp set singing to their hearts' content.  She uses dies from the Frames & Flags die set to create the window frame. For her background, she uses the Evergreens stencil with blue deco foil.  Other products used include the speech bubble from the Speech Bubbles die set and the Land Borders die set for the snowy ground.  Doesn't the white glitter make for the perfect fluffy snow?

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Debbie Owens creates a comfy Christmas scene inside a barn featuring a trio of barnyard critters from the Dairy Christmas stamp set. She adds a bale of hay to feast on (Moo stamp set) as well as some wall art featuring the barn from the same set.  The sentiment comes from the Christmas Campers stamp set. To make the stitched wall art, Deb uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set. Such a darling country Christmas card!

Diane Morales's festive square card was made using the Frames Squared die set. She adds red and green papers from the Christmas Time paper pad. She adds the sentiment to a scallop-edged circle using the Circle Frames die set. Her blue truck from the Holiday Haul stamp and die set is filled with holiday goodies.  She adds a few snowflakes to complete her holiday scene!  

Amy Tollner's card is bright and super playful with the mischievous puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp and die set.  She adds lots of silvery paw prints using the Pawprints stencil and a silver embossed sentiment.  Also used was the scallop-edged circle from the Circle Frames die set.  This will brighten any dog-lover's holiday season!

Claire Lamb's vintage truck (Holiday Haul stamp and die set) is filled to capacity with lots of presents and holiday decorations!  Love how she creates a wintry night scene filled with snow showers as the truck travels to a loved-one's home to celebrate the holiday season!

Dandi93 designs this festive CAS tag filled filled with coffee fun. She partially stamps a snowman from the Snow Much Cheer stamp set onto the coffee mug from the Newton's Mug stamp set. Her soft coloring is just lovely. She pulls a sentiment from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set and adds a scattering of coffee beans. Congrats, Dandi!

Inky Paws Challenge #163  Favorites

Sue's FAVE

Bad Kitty doesn't stop at one tag. She makes a plethora of tags that are individually unique. To hold all her tags, she even makes a holder for them. Here are the stamp sets she uses starting from top left: Christmas Puppies , A Kitten Christmas, Dear Santa, and Destination Christmas. For the middle Row, she uses A Kitten Christmas, Cup of Cocoa, Sending Hugs with a hat from Newton's Holiday Mischief, and Cup of Cocoa. The bottom row includes sets from Newton's Holiday Mischief, Ornamental Newton (retired), Dear Santa, and Purr-fect Present!  

Amy's FAVE

Melissa creates a darling tag featuring a darling puppy from the Christmas Puppies stamp set and coordinating die set.  She places this sweet puppy on a snowy pattern paper with a textured blue tag base.  Just so cute!

Claire's FAVE

Donna Perisic keeps her scene very CAS allowing her sweetly colored fawn to take center stage.  This fawn is from the Deer Friend stamp and coordinating die set. The crisp blue sky with the scattered snow flurries is bright and fresh, and Donna's red hearts add a nice contrast. The sentiment is perfect for this scene. 

Debbie's FAVE

Meghan Kennihan has a talent for finding just the perfect paper to go with her NND images. For her tag, she selects the image from the Dairy Christmas stamp and die set and colors all the critters wonderfully. She then adds the red, white, green zigzag paper that goes so well with the cow's holiday blanket. Just darling!  

Diane's FAVE

Becky makes a duo of long tags filled with cuteness. For her first tag, she uses the Confetti stencil for her background. Then she adds the champagne lovin' kitty from the Newton's New Year stamp and coordinating die set. Her second tag showcases the Music stencil paired with the kitty from the Purr-fect Present stamp and coordinating die set. Just so cute!

Inky Paws Challenge #138 Favorites

Diane's FAVE

Helen F.'s card will fill your heart with feline happiness!  She stamps the Merry Christmas sentiment down her card alternating in chartreuse and red.  She uses stars as two of her sketch elements.  Don't you love the star die cut out with starry paper in the background?  Then she adds the feline family from the Newton's Christmas Kittens stamp set and colors them spectacularly!  So much fun!

Sue's FAVE

Be prepared to burst out singing!  Tmschultz5's amazing card is filled with music!  She sets the stage with her music score background created using the Music stencil. She adds two circles with the heads of nutcrackers using the Nutcrackers stamp set. The third circle holds the punny sentiment.  She adds a bright red vertical strip with the Little Drummer Boy refrain (Nutcrackers die set) running down it. Are you singing yet?

Becky's FAVE

Ildi uses tan, brown, and a pop of pink for her lovely card. She starts with a tan card bases and uses the Holiday Foliage stencil and brown ink to create her background. She repeatedly stamps the sentiment down the vertical strip for an ombre effect. She uses the darling fox in her little pink sweater from the 

Sweater Weather stamp set and cut using the coordinating die set.  She adds playful, pink clouds.  Fabulously done!

Crystal's FAVE

Oh, snap!  Meghan K. makes this delightful gingerbread card--decorated with all kinds of red and white goodies--a sweet treat to behold!  She stamps two gingerbread people from the Ginger Snap stamp set and places them on the circular sketch elements.  Her vertical strip is a red and white gingham paper.  All is placed on a kraft paper with white circles.  The splattering of red pearls look like cinnamon dots.  Just too cute!

Debbie's FAVE

Sunshine HoneyBee uses a big pawprint and two holiday puppies to represent the sketch, and they look darling together. She uses the Pawprint Shaker die and two puppies from the Christmas Puppies stamp and die set.  The plaid strip behind them add a nice holiday touch!  Fabulous way to send Christmas greetings to your canine-lovin' friends!

Thank you for playing throughout 2020.  Seeing everyone's NND cards and projects each week brought smiles to all of us!  We love seeing your creativity and interpretation of each challenge!   We will be taking some time off to relax and enjoy the holidays, but we will be back on January 4, 2021 with a new fabulous theme challenge!
