August Challenge

We have a great sketch to get your creative juices flowing!

Have fun using the Challenge Sketch!

You have until Friday, August 28, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration:  This sketch features a fun angled layout! Try using this sketch with our Card Layout 7 Die or cut the angles with a scissor or trimmer. Put a different image in each section or keep it simple with patterned papers and sentiments. All themes are welcome as long as the sketch is used.

Amy Tollner uses balloon paper from the Birthday Meows paper pack with the Card Layout 7 die. Enjoying all those balloons are two brave critters from the Sky High Celebrations stamp and coordinating die set. Such a celebratory card!

Claire Lamb uses plaid paper from the Autumn paper pack with the Card Layout 7 die. Her trio of black kittens are having fun in a pumpkin patch. These little felines are from the Pumpkin Tails stamp and coordinating die set. She adds her sentiment on a stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set. Delightful!

Danni Bindel is celebrating the birth of a wee little one. She uses polka-dotted paper from the Pastel Basics paper pack with the Card Layout 7 die. That darling outfit is from the Loveable Laundry stamp set cut out using the Stitched Onesie die. She places it atop a scallop circle using the Circle Frames die set. She die cuts little hearts using a die from the Coffee Silhouette die set. So sweet!

Debbie Owens was also inspired to make a birthday card. For her card, she uses three lavender papers from the Springtime paper pack with the Card Layout 7 die. She adds a trio of partying kittens from the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp set. Her final touch is the small bouquet of balloons from the Cat Birthday Party stamp set. Too cute!

Kelly Santi is also inspired by the upcoming season. She selects a fun puppy paper from the Autumn Woofs paper pad with the Card Layout 7 die. This paper looks amazing with the trio of puppies from the Pumpkin Tails stamp and coordinating die. She includes a fence using the Fence die which is a fun addition. She uses the Circle Frames die set to add her sentiment on!  So cute and creative!

Candice creates a soft, romantic background then adds a jeweled rainbow. She uses Once Upon a Princess stamp set and embosses the sentiment on the stitched banner. She finishes the card with a white stitched frame. Just so pretty!

Diane's FAVE

Sue creates this fun, festive card using Newton's Christmas Cuddles stamp set. We love the unique card design and how she fussy cut Newton poking his head out of the box. The added strip of striped paper pulls everything together!  The sentiment is from Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set. 

Emily's FAVE

Irene created this simple, but totally adorable baby card using Loveable Laundry stamp set and Stitched Onesie die set. We love how she coordinated the lion onesie and the large "Roar" sentiment. So fun!

Zsofia's FAVE

We love how Laura creates this striking smooshed background using the challenge colors. Her softly colored toucans from the  Toucan Party stamp and die set and placed them atop of the background. 

Andrea's FAVE

Rijacki's magical card has Newton dreaming about magic!  Rijacki combines Newton's Book Club, Newton Loves Cake (sentiment inside), and a retired NND stamp set, Magical Dreams, to create this fun card. The background paper works wonderfully to pull everything together!

Irene's second top pick card features Frozen Friends and Loveable Laundry (sentiment) stamp sets. 

We love her simple design and cute pastel colors that celebrate the new arrival for these snow parents!  She even drew in a little snow baby!  So clever!

Elizabeth creates this delightful spring scene using the newly released Bitty Bunnies stamp set.  We love her soft, pastel colors and how those sweet bunnies frame the baby cutout!

Sue T. 's sweet card is a wonderful example of how stamps can be used for many different occasions.  Sue creates a darling baby card using Newton's Easter Basket stamp set and Sentiments of the Season stamp set.  She created her grass using the Waves stencil as well as the Frames & Flags die set.

Sharon creatively uses Winston's airplane from  Winston Takes Flight stamp set to celebrate the arrival of a new baby boy!  Her glossy plane and pastel colors are a perfect mix for this big occasion!

Inky Paws Challenge #66 Reminder

Here'a a refresher.  It's a THEME Challenge:  Baby

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 

Emily Lauritzen delights with these proud parents from Newton's Sweetheart stamp set. The diagonal stripes against the stenciled pawprints Tumbling Hearts working fabulously together. To finish it off are those little black pawprints from the Furr-ever Friends stamp set.

Zsofia Molnar designs these darlings cards with a combination of Loveable Laundry stamp set and Stitched Onesie die set with the cutest baby paper!  I love the soft baby boy colors with the stitched frame!  Cute!

Andrea Shell creates this sweet baby card using Deer Friend stamp set. I love how she frames the deer with the scallop edging. Then there is all the pink!  Seriously...delightful!

Debbie Owens uses Wild Child stamp set and Frames & Flags die set to create this sweet baby card. Those soft pastel colors and the bow provide the perfect touches to spotlight the darling giraffes!  

Diane Morales' tag makes for a special touch for a baby shower gift. I love how she uses  the Spring Showers stamp set with the little chick from  the Hello Spring stamp set. Love her puddle of water and the twine bow!
