Danni's FAVE

Sabra's unique take on the sketch as a circle caught Danni's eye. Sabra used a trio of fun papers from the Halloween Meows paper pad and adds a darling monster from the retired Franken-Newton stamp and coordinating die set. Such a creative card!

Debbie's FAVE

Maria Giselle B.'s addition of sequins and rick-rack trim caught Debbie's eye! Maria uses the retired Purr-maid Newton stamp set not only to showcase the sweet purr-maid, but also to create those embossed seahorses. She adds a sentiment from the Birthday Roundabout stamp set to finish her shiny and creative card!

Amy's FAVE

Marcia wonderful coloring of the puppy and kittens caught Amy's eye! Marcia uses some fun critter paper with the sweet image from the Sky High Celebrations stamp and coordinating die set. The red, white, black color scheme is also very striking!

Claire's FAVE

Eve G. uses some fabulous papers from the Seaside paper pad for her ocean-themed card! She then adds her sweet kitty from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set. Such an adorable card that won over Claire's heart!

Crystal's FAVE

Amy Mattingly no-coloring panel and Christmas theme won over Crystal's heart! Amy uses the Card Layout 3 die with papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. Amy then creates a no-colored panel using the Cup of Cocoa stamp set. The bright colors and black accents makes for a wonderful holiday card!

Inky Paws Challenge #242 Week 1

 

Welcome to July's Inky Paws Challenge!

This month we have some super fun colors to get creative!

Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise and Royal Blue

You have from Monday, July 7, 2025 to Friday, August 1, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month's fabulous colors can be used for any occasion.  Are you in need of birthday cards or beach cards?  Or stretch your creativity and use the colors for Halloween or Christmas cards!  There's so many possibilities. Let's see what the DT dreamed up:

Amy Tollner uses the colors to design this festive birthday card. She creates blue balloons using the Bokeh Balloons stencil set and gives it scallop edging using the Frames & Flags die set.  She then uses the Birthday Roundabout stamp and the Circle Frames die set for her focal element. At last she embosses her sentiment from the Birthday Essentials stamp set. The overall effect is birthday cuteness!

Claire Lamb creates a super cute beach scene using Newton from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set. She then die cuts her oval using the Oval Frames die set and creates a fun beach for her feline to enjoy!  Darling way to use the challenge colors!

Crystal Minkler was also inspired to create a birthday card with a coffee twist!  She begins by creating a colorful background using the Plaid stencil set. She then stamps the coffee image from the Heartfelt Coffee stamp set and cut using the scallop-edging die from the Heart Frames die set.  A super colorful coffee card!

Danni Bindel uses the darling image from the Newton's Birdhouse stamp set. (Don't you love how she colors her sweet kitty?)  Then uses the Oval Frames die set to create her oval layers.  She continues by using dies from the Frames & Flags die set with polka dotted papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. Super sweet!

Debbie Owens was also inspired to create a birthday card. She chooses the duo from the Sky High Celebrations stamp set floating through a cloudy sky (Petite Clouds stencil). She cuts her cloudy sky with a stitched oval die the Oval Frames die set. For her four little panels, she pulls papers from the Birthday Party and the Love & Meows paper pads. At last she stamps her birthday sentiment  using a stamp from the Birthday Oval stamp set.  A super fun birthday card!

creative with the the challenge colors.

The little fish with their birthday hats will definitely bring a smile to one's face! Irene showcases the retired Narly Mermaids stamp set with little hats from the Winston's Birthday stamp set. Her watery background filled with seashells (Seashells stencil) makes for a fun background!

Claire's FAVE

Mugdha sends a trio of critters each holding a special gift to the birthday person!  Mugdha's CAS style showcases these furry friends from the retired Sending Hugs stamp and coordinating die set wonderfully! 

Crystal's FAVE

Coffee and a kitty are a purr-fect blend especially on Kristi's darling birthday card! She pairs Newton from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp and coordinating die set with a trio of papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad.  Caffeinated cuteness!

Danni's FAVE

Vicki showcases the trio of puppies from the Birthday Barks stamp and coordinating die set with the fun papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad.  She uses the A2 Card Layout 2 die to create her card layout.  Just love how wonderfully she colors her puppies as well as that extra little balloon floating about!

Debbie's FAVE

The three little hens in their little windows look so cute!  Meghan continues the cuteness with the chicken wire embossing and the multiple sentiments.  Those cute chickens are from the Cluck stamp and coordinating die set. Adorable!

Arlene R. creates a fabulous background by combining the Mugs stencil with the Bokeh stencil set. The black banner with the Heartfelt Coffee stamp set makes for a bold accent.  Such a creative way to use the NND products with the challenge colors!

Mindy Go's watercolor background is so fun and colorful for the little puppy from the Puppy's Bubble Tea stamp and coordinating die set.  Mindy also does a wonderful job coloring the puppy and his bubble tea!  

Danni's FAVE

Becca creates a super fun birthday card using the Birthday Roundabout stamp set. All those birthday goodies look so cute in the challenge colors!  A great way to celebrate!

Amy Isley colors her zoo critters from the retired Zoo Party stamp set so playfully in the challenge colors.  That pink elephant is just so cute!  To complete her sweet card, Amy uses the Frames Squared die set, and the purple dotted papers from the Bright Basics paper pad. So fun!

Cat C. creates such a refreshing watery setting for the little critter from the Purr-Maid Newton stamp set. Anyone else just want to jump into her card for a cool, refreshing break from the heat?

This is a sketch challenge.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

Amy Tollner's truck from the Spring Haul Stamp and die set is filled with spring delights. Doesn't it make you want to go out and buy flowers to plant in your garden? She pairs her vintage truck with papers from the Springtime and the Spring Blooms paper pads. A fabulous way to welcome spring!

Claire Lamb showcases the sketch with a slice of summery paradise. Her distressed backdrops are gorgeous, especially with the palm trees from the Paradise Palms stamp set. Enjoying the gorgous sunset is her Siamese kitten from the Kitten Beach and coordinating die set. Both of these sets are retiring, so grab them before they are done!

Danni Bindel pulls fabulous coordinating paperrs from the A Dog's Life paper pad that work amazingly with the puppy from the Puppy's Reading List and coordinating die set. The glossy accent on the glasses is a nice touch!

Debbie Owens uses the sketch to make a darling birthday card featuring the puppy from the Paw-some Birthday stamp set. She adds coordinating papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad atop a glittery white card stock. She finishes with a sentiment from the Birthday Roundabout stamp set. A fun way to celebrate!

Amy's FAVE

Redbird uses the rainbow theme by making her firework display super colorful.  Riding through those fiery blooms (Fireworks stencil) is Newton (Newton's 4th of July stamp and coordinating die set) riding bravely on his rocket!  The coordinating envelope is a super fun touch!

Claire's FAVE

Marianne won over Claire with rainbow hearts. Marianne uses the Newton's Heart stamp and coordinating die set and uniquely colors the hearts in colors of the rainbow. Behind them she subtly adds more hearts with the Bokeh Hearts stencil set. Adding the white-embossed sentiment on black adds a nice dramatic touch!  

Crystal's FAVE

Crystal loved how Maria creates a rainbow using the Sunscape stencil. Riding through the kaleidoscope of colors is Newton with his rainbow scarf. This cute guy is from the Newton Scoots By stamp and die set. A fun way to incorporate rainbow colors into one's design!

Debbie's FAVE

Debbie loves how Moments of Crafting created a rainbow of fruity cocktails!.  These colorful drinks were created using the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. The water coloring beneath them was a fabulous way to continue the rainbow theme!

Diane's FAVE

Ingen repeatedly stamped her birthday sentiment (Birthday Roundabout stamp set) in shades of the rainbow. She then adds Newton in his rainbow-colored striped gift bag (Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set) and colorful tissue paper is a purr-fect way to send birthday greetings. Such a fun CAS design!
