Leann S. creates such a pretty and elegant one-layered card using the Floral Lace stencil. She adds a few gems to add a splash of sparkle! Such a wonderful way to blend the challenge colors!

Danni's FAVE

Deepti creates such a playful card using the our daring feline from the Newton Scoots By Stamp set (Retired). Deepti creates a wonderful sky by layering torn-strips of paper for a "rainbow" sky in the challenge sky. The little floating clouds adds a whimsical touch!

Debbie's FAVE

Marcia really embraces the turquoise colors with her different patterns of paper.  She then adds a trio of puppies from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set. She pulls in the other challenge colors by shading in elements of the image.  Such an adorable card!

Amy's FAVE

Ellen uses the challenge colors with the Seashells stencil to create a perfect background for this beach-lovin' feline! That cute kitty is from the retired Newton's Seashell stamp set. She pulls a sentiment and sand dollar from the retired Tranquil Tides stamp set. Such a fun oceany card!

Claire's FAVE

Amy embraces the challenge colors on this sweet Valentine's card. Amy uses the Postage  Stamp Layout die and adds little "love" images from the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set. Such a fun way to embrace the challenge colors!

Marianne creatively used the Tree Rings stencil by making the rings in different colors of the rainbow.  She added her ice cream lovin' feline from the Newton's Summer Treats stamp and die set. She adds her white-embossed sentiment on a black circle.  Such a fun way to use the rainbow theme!

Amy's FAVE

Redbird uses the rainbow theme by making her firework display super colorful.  Riding through those fiery blooms (Fireworks stencil) is Newton (Newton's 4th of July stamp and coordinating die set) riding bravely on his rocket!  The coordinating envelope is a super fun touch!

Claire's FAVE

Marianne won over Claire with rainbow hearts. Marianne uses the Newton's Heart stamp and coordinating die set and uniquely colors the hearts in colors of the rainbow. Behind them she subtly adds more hearts with the Bokeh Hearts stencil set. Adding the white-embossed sentiment on black adds a nice dramatic touch!  

Crystal's FAVE

Crystal loved how Maria creates a rainbow using the Sunscape stencil. Riding through the kaleidoscope of colors is Newton with his rainbow scarf. This cute guy is from the Newton Scoots By stamp and die set. A fun way to incorporate rainbow colors into one's design!

Debbie's FAVE

Debbie loves how Moments of Crafting created a rainbow of fruity cocktails!.  These colorful drinks were created using the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. The water coloring beneath them was a fabulous way to continue the rainbow theme!

Diane's FAVE

Ingen repeatedly stamped her birthday sentiment (Birthday Roundabout stamp set) in shades of the rainbow. She then adds Newton in his rainbow-colored striped gift bag (Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set) and colorful tissue paper is a purr-fect way to send birthday greetings. Such a fun CAS design!

Debbie's FAVE

Amy T.  creates a delightful summer scene beginning with her white glittery clouds using the Cloudy Sky stencil. She adds layers of grass using the Land Borders die set and dies cuts both using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. The bright sun was die cut with the Sky Scene Builder die set. She then uses the Freshly Squeezed stamp set (retired) to stamp and color the lemonade stand and bunny. Look closely and you'll see Winston holding a lemon wedge.  She sprinkles in some flowers and butterflies.  Very refreshing!

Diane's FAVE

Joyce M.  repeatedly stamps the ice cream cone and cherry from the Summer Scoops stamp set for her fantastic background.  The lavenders and green is a fabulous color combination.  For her sentiment, she embosses in white on a black card stock.  A wonderful way to celebrate the summer season!

Sue's FAVE

A. Rose  designs a watermelon slice card base in red and greens. She adds some black seeds as well as one overly large seed featuring the watermelon-lovin' kitty from the Newton's Melon stamp set.  Seeing Newton eating watermelon while "inside" a watermelon is a creative way to celebrate summer!


Becky's FAVE

Mugdha uses her favorite stamp set--Newton Scoots By to create this fabulous summer scene. She adds a baseball hat to Newton as he zooms by a sparkling blue lake on a trail of grass!  Seriously too cute!

Crystal's FAVE

Claire's bright sunny backdrop makes for a fabulous setting for the lady dog walker and her pack from the Walking Woofs stamp and die set. She adds a scallop-edged frame from the Frames Squared die set to break up the yellow and add texture.  Her coloring is just amazing too!  Darling!

Inky Paws Challenge #122

This biweekly challenge is a:

Color Challenge

Create a project using the challenge colors-Coral Pink, Mint Green, White, and Black.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along.  Deadline to enter is Friday, May 8, 2020, at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Diane Morales creates an amazing square card using the Frames Squared die set and a coordinating bookmark using the Fancy Edges Tag die set.  Using the Floral Fringe stamp set, Diane uses the challenge colors to shade the flowers. Don't you love the black-eyed Susans?  

Sue T. creates this amazing spring card by cleverly combining sets. She uses the Frames & Flag die set to create her center panel and adds the bubbles from the Bokeh stencil set.  Those lovely coral flowers are from the Easter Lily stamp and die set. She places them in the watering can from the Hop Into Spring stamp and die set. Using the banner die from the Frames & Flag die set, she stamps a sentiment from the Dainty Daisies stamp set. 

 Becky Noelle combines elegant with cuteness with her card. Starting with texture paste with the Hardwood stencil on a mint card base, she adds a lattice frame on which to display the kitty peeking out of his boots from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp set.  Her coral-colored flowers coordinated beautifully with the twine. The black banner (Frames & Flags die set) with it's white embossed sentiment from the Woodland Spring stamp set provides a nice pop of contrast.  {sigh}

Crystal Komara creates a gorgeous peony card using the Peony Blooms stamp and die set. The coral flowers go so perfectly with the mint ribbon and mint gingham paper. Sparkly rhinestones giving it a extra special touch of sparkle!

 Debbie Owens was inspired by the bicycles as well as the colors in the challenge photo. She creates a little country scene using the Cloudy Sky stencil with glittery embossing paste and the Land Borders die set for the hills and grass.  She scallops the edges using the Frames & Flags die set. The main attraction is the darling kitty zooming on his scooter from the Newton Scoots By stamp set. Sprinkle in a  few flowers from the Newton's Valentine, twine, and a black speech bubble with white embossing from the Speech Bubbles die set.  Sweetness!

Gentle Crafting  creates this darling slimline birthday card with 3 Polaroid picture frames showcasing images from the Sending Hugs stamp and die set.  She creates distressed backgrounds in different colors and has each critter holding a little gift!  Just so cute!

Diane's FAVE

Beverly's use of bright, bold colors makes her card stand out!  Her blue background with the embossing adds great texture for her kitty from the Newton Scoots By stamp set.  The chartreuse green and red accents really pop against the blue!  Darling!  

Sue's FAVE

Elle Kay re-purposes this stamp image from the Naughty Newton stamp and die set by having him holing a bouquet of colorful balloons and floating away.  Her paw print background in a rainbow of colors makes her card so festive and fun1

Becky's FAVE

Amy Tsuruta creates a pink lemonade-colored background that looks spectacular with the large lemon from the Lemon Twist stamp and die set.  On a black frame, she white embosses her sentiment, which is a combination of words from the Newton Dreams of London and Lemon Twist stamp sets.  A beautifully designed CAS card!

Crystal's FAVE

Mugdha pulls the circles from the challenge image to create a bokeh-like background in bright colors.  She add a vellum circle on which she adds the feline scootin' by from the Newton Scoots By stamp set.  The party hat is a purr-fect addition to this darling card!

Inky Paws Challenge #114 Winner!

Is it spring yet? Not quite, but Tracie C.'s card will add some flowery brightness for those snowbound or with the winter blues! Tracie uses the dies from the Frames & Flags die set to cut her panels--one with a blue-gingham like pattern. The other with a plaid design in pinks and greens. She overlays the plaid layer with a green panel which has leaves stamped on it. Her focal image are those beautiful pink flowers from the Peony Blooms stamp set with the sentiment coming from the Beautiful Wings stamp set. Adding pink ribbon with a bow and floral button are her final touches. Thank you, Tracie, for this breath of spring!

Love is definitely in the air with Paula's daring card. Pattern paper sets the scene for the beautifully colored feline couple from the Newton's Sweetheart stamp set. She anchors everything together by tucking a die cut heart behind the kitties. She adds a little red banner with the sentiment embossed in white for the finishing touch! How romantic!

Crystal's FAVE

Amy T. creates a starry night just perfect for the curious kitten from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp and die set to stay up late and watch for Santa Claws! She embosses the sentiment in white on a midnight blue layer. For some added sparkle, she uses the Frames & Flags scallop-edged die to cut a glittery silver frame matted on a navy blue card base. Her sprinkling of silver sequin stars and light blue ribbon are perfect embellishments!


Debbie's FAVE

Mugdha is on a roll with her scooter-themed cards, and this one doesn't disappoint! This time her cruisin' kitty from the Newton Scoots By stamp and die set is off to a big city for another adventure! Mugdha's background of the city with the vellum panel overlay is a fabulous way to interpret the sketch. And the white outline of the clouds is afun touch! Zoom! Zoom!

Diane's FAVE

What is black and white with a splash of red? Priscilla's eye-catching card, of course! With the white snowflake background, Priscilla adds a black panel with white evergreens using the Evergreens stencil. She then downloads a free NND digital and adds those darling mittens. Don't you love that little splash of red on the hearts and how the card matches the hat!

Sue's FAVE

Becca serves up a whole lot of java fun! Using the sloth from the Slothy Coffee stamp and die set, she adds coffee bean images over a dictionary page underneath a java cup embossed layer! If that's not enough fun, she has a fun polka dotted background! Wow!
