Inky Paws Challenge #242 Week 2

 

July Challenge!

 We have a super fun colors to get your creative juices flowing! 


Use the colors: Cotton Candy Pink, Orange Sherbet, Turquoise and Royal Blue with your NND products.

You until Friday, August 1, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

This beautiful color combo is perfect for spring cards and more! Create a garden scene, try adding the colors to a birthday card or mix in a pet with brown fur! Let's check out what our Design Team created!

Crystal Minkler shows her creativity with the challenge colors with this delightful Halloween card.  She uses papers from the Halloween Party paper pad and die cuts using dies from the Framework die set. She then builds a scene using dies from the Haunted House and Spooky Sky die sets.  Enjoying this spooky scene, Crystal uses a trio of felines from the Trick or Treat Newton stamp and coordinating die set. Cuteness overload!

Danni Bindel uses the challenge colors with the Petite Flowers stencil to create the cutest backdrop for her little piglet from the Oink stamp and coordinating die set. She uses dies from the Circle Frames, the Frames & Flags, and the Banner Trio die sets.  Such a cute way to send thanks!

Debbie Owens creates a fun beachy scene with this CAS card. She lightly distresses waves using the Waves stencil.  She then uses the challenge colors to distress a sunset over the ocean on a die cut circle (Circle Frames die set). She adds the darling feline from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp set. She finishes her card with a sentiment from the Seashell Roundabout stamp set on a banner using the Banner Trio and the Frames & Flags die sets.  What a fun way to enjoy one's day!

Amy Tollner uses pink and orange with the Tropical Leaves stencil to create such a fun backdrop for her blue jeep from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set. To create her fun layout, Amy uses theFractured Card Layout die. She stamps her sentiment on a banner using the Banner Trio die set.  What a fabulous pastel paradise!

Claire Lamb uses the Flamingo Oval stamp set for her flock of flamingos!  She frames them with a scallop oval using the eOval Frames die set. The blue and white striped paper from the Seaside paper pad adds a dramatic touch for this fun, flam-azing card!

Inky Paws Challenge #233-Week 4

This color combination would make gorgeous Fall projects, but don't limit yourself.  How about using these colors for a Halloween-themed card or a masculine birthday card?  So many possibilities!  Let's see what our IPC DT came up with:

Crystal Minkler was inspired to use the challenge colors for a bookmark! She uses the Bookmark II die for her base and adds gray argyle paper from the Black & White Basics paper pad. She adds a stack of books (Bookmark II die set) in the colors of the challenge with a mug of something hot and wonderful at the top. That little cup and sentiment are from the Never Enough Books stamp and coordinating die set

Danni Bindel was inspired to create a coffee-themed card. When uses the Framework die set to create her cream postage-edge base. She then adds an olile green heart with the scallop-edged heart atop it using the Heart Frames die set.  She stamps the coffee mug image from the Heartfelt Coffee stamp set on her cream heart and colored each mug so cutely.

Debbie Owens and Crystal must have been channeling the same energy because Deb, too, created a darling bookmarks. She chose to use the Bookmark die set and decorated it using images from the Autumn Reads stamp set. Such a delightful autumn bookmark just perfect for snuggling up with a good book!

Amy Tollner designs a fun Halloween scene!  She uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set to create her cardbase. She then distresses her background using the Spooky Sky die set. Her spooky Newton from the Batty Newton stamp and coordinating die set is flying towards his haunted mansion made using the Haunted House die. For her gray grass, Amy uses the Land Borders die set. The overall scene is absolutely amazing!

Claire Lamb uses dies to create this spooky scene. On her spooky distressed background, she adds a gray haunted house using the Haunted House die, and she adds a moon and a splattering of clouds using the Spooky Sky Die set. Her little "Eeek!" sentiment is from the Spiderweb Oval stamp set. A spook-taculalr way to use the challenge colors!

Crystal's autumn card features Autumn Reads, Never Enough Books, Falling Leaves, Autumn Meows, Circle Frames, Basic Frames, and Frames & Flags by  Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #autumncards, #fallcards
Crystal Minkler creates layers of autumn beauty with this stylish card. She creates her many layers using the Frames & Flags die set, the Basic Frames die set, and the Circle Frames die set. She pulls the plaid paper from the Autumn Meows paper pad and creates her own design paper by using the Falling Leaves stencil. She showcases the stack of books from the Autumn Reads stamp and the coordinating die set for the little leaf.  Her final touch is a perfect sentiment from the  Never Enough Books stamp set.

Danni Bindel's "oops! card really showcases the slate gray from the color challenge. She uses two gray papers from the Black & White Basics paper pad with dies from the Frames & Flags die set to create her layers. She then uses one of the naughty kitty images from the Naughty Newton stamp and coordinating die set colored in the other challenge colors.  Such a sweet way to send an I'm sorry message!

Deb's Give Thanks card features Newton's Thanksgiving, Fall Harvest, Autumn Basics, and Fall Roundabout by  Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #autumncards, #catcards, #fallcards, #givethankscards
Not only does Debbie Owens capture the bounty of the harvest season, but also the wonderful desserts it brings!  Deb combines the basket of pumpkins image from the Fall Harvest stamp set with the pie making kitty and the overly full feline from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set for a delightful Thanksgiving card. She uses the Basic Frames die set with papers from the Autumn Basics paper pad for her layers and a sentiment from the Fall Roundabout stamp set.

Amy Tollner creates the sweetest fall card with these darling mice from the Autumn Mice stamp and coordinating die set. Amy creates a subtle backdrop using the Pumpkin Patch stencil and adds a gray frame using the Frames & Tags die set Her amazing coloring captures the autumn feel wonderfully!
