Inky Paws Challenge #257 Week 1

You have until Friday, October 30, 2026 (Midnight CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Designs online shop! The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. Make sure you check the challenge rules page before linking up your project. NND products are required.

Here's some inspiration: Enjoy deep the deep fall colors of orange rust and add in a pop of teal and purple! It's the perfect palette to stretch your fall crafting! Any theme is welcome as long as the colors are used!

Kathy Schweinfurth's autumn card is just too cute with the puppy from the Dog Builder die set hiding among the leaves from the Autumn Leaves die set and the pumpkins from the Halloween Accessories die set. For her background, Kathy uses paper from the Autumn Leaves paper pack which she die cuts using the Frames & Flags die set.

Kelly Santi  is showcasing the darling feline from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She create lovely layers using papers from the Autumn Woofs paper pad with dies from the Frames & Tags, the Basic Frames, and the Frames & Flags die sets. A bright, beautiful way to enjoy autumn!

Looks like Amy Tollner is gearing up for some cozy reading time with this lovely card. Her big pile of books is from the Autumn Reads stamp and coordinating die set. She creates her background using the newly released Autumn Leaves paper pack and the Arched Frames die set. For her sentiment, she stamps it on a tag using the Essential Tags die set.  Enjoy all those books!

Claire Lamb has truly embraced the teal in this month's color challenge, and it is spectacular!  Her little quartet of felines comes from the Autumn Cats stamp and coordinating die set. They are set atop the teal leaf paper from the Autumn Leaves paper pack. She uses the Postage Stamp Layout die to showcase the felines and pulls the Happy die from the Happy Birthday die set for part of her sentiment.  Wonderfully done!

Debbie Owens is gearing up for all the leaves needing to be racked!  Those cute helpers are from the Autumn Dogs and the Autumn Cats stamp sets. She uses the Torn Edges Frames die set to create the rough edging. These little critters make racking look fun!

Welcome Kathy Schweinfurth to our Inky Paws Challenge Inspiration Team!

Hi!  I’m Kathy Schweinfurth and live in a suburb of Columbus, OH. I’m married to Mark and we have a wonderful adult daughter.
 
I’ve been cardmaking for almost 30 years and I’ve always loved playing in challenges!  They stretch my creativity and make me think about how to use my crafty goodies in new and unique ways which is really fun to me!  I’m also a BIG fan of Newton’s Nook Designs so I’m super excited and honored to be part of the Inky Paws Challenge Team!

Here's some inspiration: We couldn't decide between fall and Halloween so we're choosing BOTH! Create a card with a fall and/or Halloween theme to join. Create a thank you using fall images and colors. Try creating a cute (or spooky) Halloween scene. This time of year is filled with frights and delights! Choose your favorite and enter today!

Claire Lamb distresses a very bold and spooky backdrop complete with webs and spiders! She uses the Spooky Stories and the Spiderweb Oval to create those spooky elements and the sentiment. She then adds some books which are full of witch recipes  and spooky spells using the Bookmark II die set. A fabulous card for someone who loves reading spooky tales!

Danni Bindel creates the cutest Halloween card with a coffee theme!  She uses lots of spooky coffee images from the Spooky Coffees and coordinating die set with the argyle paper from the Halloween Time paper pad.  She uses dies from the Circle Frames for the sentiment and the Frames & Tags die set for the window frame. A spooky card to send to a coffee lover!

She then uses the Coffee  Frame die with the hounds tooth paper from the Autumn paper pad.  She uses the Thanks a Latte die for her sentiment and adds a latte from the Autumn Coffees stamp set. To create her center panel she uses one of the dies from the Basic Frames set. A great combination of products to celebrate the pumpkin-spice season!

She uses the Basic Frames die set to create her central panel. She adds the duo of climbing cats from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set and colors the leaves in autumn colors. She adds some bats using the Batty Newton stamp and coordinating die set. For more  autumn fun, she adds pumpkins from the Pumpkin Tails stamp and coordinating die set as well as tiny flowers from the Aloha Newton stamp and coordinating die set. At last, she stamps her sentiment on a stitched panel using the Frames & Flags die set. Thanks, Kelly, for showing how to stretch our stamp sets!
