Inky Paws Challenge #248 Week 3

Use Cinnamon Red, Soft Pink, Lilac, and Buttercream White with your NND products!

You have until Friday, January 30, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

We are entering week 3 of the current challenge. These colors are super fun for Valentine's cards, but can also be used for thank-you, birthday, winter,  and whatever occasion that inspires you. Let's check out what the IPC team created.

Danni Bindel creates a sweet Valentine's card using the tiny images from the Valentine Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating dies with the Postage Stamp Layout die.  Behind those little love images is the petite heart paper from the Lovely Hearts paper pad. So cute!

Debbie Owens repurposes the gift packages from the 'Tis the Season Toner Card Front for a birthday card. She uses the A2 Card Layout 2 die for her card layout. For her star attraction, she uses the present laden image from the Sky High Celebrations stamp set. For added fun, Deb adds some gift bags from the Birthday Postage Sampler stamp set. Super fun!

Kelly's birthday card uses Sky High Celebrations, A2 Card Layout 2, Christmas Basics, and Christmas Party by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #nndpaper, #nndstamps, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #birthdaycards
 Kelly Santi was also inspired to use the Sky High Celebrations stamp set and A2 Card Layout 2 die. She repurposes papers from the Christmas Party and the Christmas Basics paper pads to create the design panels for her birthday card. Just love how all the elements work so amazingly together!

Amy's birthday card features Newton's Bright Birthday, A7 Frames & Banners, Filigree Oval Frame, and Cheerful Bright Glitter Cardstock Assortment by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #nndpaper, #nndstamps, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #birthdaycards, #catcards
Amy Tollner was also inspired to create a birthday card. She uses the Filigree Oval Frame die set to create a festive frame to showcase the kitty trio from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp and coordinating die set. She pulls the glittery lavender paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment to add lots of shimmer and sparkle. Amy finishes with her sentiment of a little banner using the A7 Frames & Banners die set.  So sweet and pretty!

Claire's thank you card features Heartfelt Blooms and Heart Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #nndstamps, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #thankyoucards
Claire Lamb creates a beautiful thank you card using the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set and the Heart Frames die set. Don't you love how uses uses two hearts in the corners?  Simple, yet so creative!

Amy Tollner's card showcases a perfect blend for a birthday card! She uses the caffeine-lovin' feline from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp and coordinating die set with papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. She uses the A2 Card Layout die set to create her layout. Super cute!

Claire Lamb uses the trio of puppies from the Birthday Barks stamp set atop a beautifully distressed stripe. Look closely, you spy some birthday balloons on her stripe made using the Bokeh Balloons stencil set. Raise the roof, indeed!

Crystal Minkler has pulled a slew of NND products for this farm-filled birthday card!  On the front, Crystal uses papers from the Farmyard paper pad with several sets of die for her many layers:  Frames & Flags, Basic Frames die set, and Circle Frames. She adds the hard-working farmer from the Farmer Newton stamp and coordinating die set who has filled his pick-up truck from the Harvest Haul stamp and coordinating die set with his harvest produce.  If that wasn't enough cuteness, Crystal adds a trio of hens from the Cluck stamp and coordinating die set with a funny pun!  Super adorable!

Danni Bindel brings on some brightness with this brilliant birthday card!  She uses papers from the  Bright Basics paper pad with dies from the Frames & Flags die set and the Hexagon Frames dies for her different layers. Adding to the festivities is the trio of kitties from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp and coordinating die set. The overall effect is bold and bright birthday wishes!


Deb' s birthday card features Honeybee Newton and Heartfelt Honey by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardchallenges, #cardmaking, #birthdaycards, #catcards
Debbie Owens uses soft colors for her birthday card. She adds the honey-comb heart from the Heartfelt Honey stamp set with a bit of distressing for her background.  She then adds the very brave kitty from the Beekeeper Newton stamp set with his honey bee keeper.  The punny sentiment is a perfect finishing touch!

Claire Lamb uses the newly released Basic Frames die set to design her darling birthday card. She uses the blue and purple polka dotted papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad to create her background layers to showcase the trio of sweet kitties from the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp set and coordinating die set. Super cute!


Crystal's birthday card features Frames & Tags, Newton's Bright Birthday, Bright Basics, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #felinecards, #cardmaking, #catcards, #birthdaycards, #cardchallenge
Crystal Minkler was also inspired to create a birthday card!  She uses the newly released Frames and Tags die set and the Circle Frames die set with the primary and secondary colored polka dotted papers from the Bright Basics paper pad. Her trio of felilnes is from the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp and coordinating die set. So much cuteness!

A fun way to send a hug to a loved one!

Like some of her teammates, Debbie Owens was inspired to create birthday cards using the newly released Bright Basics paper pad. She creates vertical strips using the A2 Card Layout die set. Each card features a trio of kittens celebrating in style!  Her first card features the Newton's Bright Birthday stamp set while the second card features the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp set.  Not sure with trio is having the most fun!


Amy's mouse card features Garden Mice, Newton's Birthday, Autumn, Frames & Tags, Basic Frames, A7 Frames & Banners by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #micecards, #friendshipcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Amy Tollner pulls papers from the Autumn paper pad to create a beautiful palette of colors for her playful mouse from the Garden Mice stamp and coordinating die set. Amy then adds butterflies using the Newton's Birdbath stamp and coordinating die set. To create her many layers including the sentiment banner, Amy uses the Frames and Tags die set, the Basic Frames Die Set, and theA7 Frames and Banners die set. Too cute!
