Amy's FAVE

Tracy Grauer's darling card features the puppy from the Puppy's Reading List stamp and coordinating die set. She showcases him on a pawprint embossed card base and papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. The overall effect is total cuteness!

Claire's FAVE

Fikreta uses such bright, cheery colors for her spring card!  She uses the cute, little lamb from the \Woodland Spring retired stamp set as her focal element.  A perfect card to brighten one's day!

Crystal's FAVE

Jennifer K. uses such soft, sweet colors and papers for her amazing spring card. She features the Hello Spring retired stamp set and does a beautiful job of coloring the image!  Fabulously done!

Danni's FAVE

Katrina Trapani uses a wonderful seletion of papers that make her card so bright and cheerful.  She uses the Hedgehog Hollow retired stamp set who is looking quite content in his blue coffee mug!  Nicely done, Katrina!

Debbie's FAVE

Meghan K. uses teal and red for a wonderful "love card!"  She features two of the construction vehicles from the Love Quarry stamp and coordinating die set. Her fun selection of papers adds to the overall fun!

   Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This is a theme challenge.

Use the theme--Spring. 

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, March 17, 2023 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday. 

Are you ready to play along and get your paws inky? Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

We have lots of inspiration to get you ready for spring and this challenge!

Diane Morales' butterfly-filled card is just precious! Her cute kitten is from the Captivated Kittens stamp and coordinating die set, and he looks so cute with the butterfly paper from the Springtime paper pad. For even more fluttering fun, she adds butterflies using the Gnome Garden stamp and coordinating die set. Also tucked in there is an scallop-edged oval using the Oval Frames die set. Sure hope this little guy catches one of those cute butterflies!

Amy Tollner fills her background with beautiful pink blooms using the retiring Bold Blooms stencil which she cuts using the scallop-edged frame from the A7 Frames & Banners die set. She breaks up her floral background with a three-panel frame and places all the sweet critters from the retiring Woodland Spring stamp and coordinating die set around the edges. She adds some extra flowers and some bling making this an absolutely darling spring card!

Claire Lamb's card will have you yearning for a nice, warm, sunny spring day to take a relaxing walk with your puppies! Her rays of sunshine were made using the Sunscape Stencil, and the quintet of puppies are from the Walking Woofs stamp set. With tons of masking, Claire makes a floral path using the flowers from the Cycling Friends stamp set. Such a darling and happy card!

Crystal Minkler gives us the flip side of spring--those wonderful spring showers that pave the way for the flowers! She pulls the cloudy paper from the Springtime paper pad and continues with some clouds on her postage-edged frame layer (Framework die set) using the Petite Clouds stencil. The best part of April showers? Getting to wear fashionable rain boots, and her lavender ones are so, so cute! This darling calico kitty and ducky are from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp set and coordinating die set. Dare I say, "Bring on the rain!" LOL

Debbie Owens also showcases the darling kitty and ducky from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp set. Unlike Claire's pretty lavender rain boots, Deb goes for some bold red ones, which are just as cute! Deb uses scraps from the Springtime paper pad to create the fun background which she die cuts using the scallop-edged die from the Framework die set. She stamps her sentiment pulled from the Floral Roundabout stamp set on a banner (Banner Trio die set). A fun, colorful way to celebrate spring!

Gail creates a winter card using the challenge colors with this darling snowman card! She uses the Snowman Greetings stamp set and adds blue and white checkered accessories which coordinates with the blue-white checkered background paper. The green mittens and yellow accents complete her card.  Oh, this darling card also lights up!  Fun!

Donna creates a gorgeous card showcasing the Daffodils stamp and die set. She places her sprigs of flowers on a striped green backdrop and adds the navy with the white embossed sentiment on a blue circle and blue sequins.  The wood grain embossed card base adds a beautiful texture!  

Debbie's FAVE

Arlene R. lets the little bunny from the Bunny Hop stamp set take center stage on her simple, yet amazing, CAS design.  She incorporates the challenge colors on this little image wonderfully!  Simply adorable!

Diane's FAVE

Kristi wows with this amazing use of the Pineapple stencil set. On a pretty blue backdrop, Kristi adds the challenge colors for a wonder backdrop for her big sentiment. She adds a little thanks pulled from the 

Bleeding Heart stamp set. Such a creative card!

Sue's FAVE

Karen's pretty navy background is a perfect way to showcase this sweet lamb from the Woodland Spring stamp and die set. The yellow flowers and green frame makes for the sweetest card. Lovely!

Amy's FAVE

Dee showcases this birthday puppy from the Puppy Playtime stamp and die set set on a darling swing card!  She pulls in the challenge colors with the floral paper and the trio of die cut flowers. What a fun, interactive way to celebrate one's birthday!

 Amy Tollner sends sweet spring wishes with this darling card. Using the Slimline Frames & Portholes and Slimline Frames & Windows die sets, she creates layers for her card. Using pretty pastel colors and the Floral Lace stencil, she creates a subtle background for her woodland critters from the Woodland Spring stamp and die set.  Her addition of the floral bouquets around the corners adds even more spring freshness!

Claire Lamb creates a pastel rainbow of bunnies using the Bunny Tails stencil set.  Don't you just love all those fluffy bunny tails?!  She pulls a sentiment from the Spring Pile Up stamp set and die cuts using the Circle Frames die set.  A darling way to send Easter greetings!

  Debbie Owens showcases the trio of kittens in their rainbow attire from the Newton's Rainy Day Trio stamp set.  Behind them are some spring showers  (Raindrops stencil) with some sunshine peeking out behind the cloud (Sky Builder die set). She stamps a sentiment form the Umbrella Pals stamp set on the little cloud.  She uses the Frames Squared and Circle Frames die sets to create the card base and circular elements.  A fun, bright way to support a loved one!

Diane Morales sets her bright, colorful flowers from the Hummingbird stamp and die set on a light gray backdrop of little petite flowers (Petite Flowers stencil). She frames all with the large die from the A7 Banners & Frames die set.  She stamps a sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set. A gorgeous way to welcome spring!

An argyle embossed background provides texture to Sue T.'s spring card. Using the floral image from the Floral Roundabout stamp set, Sue cuts a trio of squares and colors in shades of yellow and blue and frames each with a dark blue border. With his own yellow and blue daisy, the little mouse from the Garden Mice stamp and die set continues the floral theme.  Sue embosses the sentiment on a little blue banner. A delightful way to send some happy thoughts to a loved one!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales creates a striking card beginning with the scallop frame from the A7 Frames & Banners die set. She uses the Sea Borders die set to create the wavy background blocks. She frames her beautiful flowers from the Orchids stamp & die set with the little scallop frame from the Frameworks die set. She pulls a sentiment from the Heartfelt Roses stamp set. She completes her beautiful card with a couple of pearl dots. Wow!

Sue T. calico kitty is looking so cute peeking from her rain boot!. This sweet kitten is from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp & die set. Sue arranges the kitten in front of her trio of distressed windows created using the Slimline Masking Circles & Squares  and the Petite Flowers stencils.  She scatters some pink baubles. Just adorable!

Amy Tollner's duo of mice will make you smile. Using the A7 Frames & Banners die set to create her scalloped element, she distresses pretty flowers in the background using the Petite Flowers stencil. She arranges the two mice from the Garden Mice stamp and die set around the 3-window frame and strategically places a ladybug and little butterflies pulled from the Gnome Garden stamp and die set and the Newton's Picnic stamp and die set (retiring). Sweetness!

Claire Lamb shows off her amazing distressing skills with her gorgeous background. She adds a duo of circles and embosses the sentiment from the Walking Woofs stamp set. She adds a floral arrangement around the circles using the Flower Trio die set. Just gorgeous!

Set atop a bright yellow gingham background, Debbie Owens showcases one of the French bulldogs from the retiring Fabulous Frenchies stamp set. She adds green hills and grass using the Land Borders die set. She adds some pretty yellow flowers from the Woodland Spring stamp set. She creates a fun shape card using the Circle Frames die set. Her final touch is putting the sentiment in a speech bubble using the Speech Bubbles die set. Simply adorable!

Cari S. shows us how to conserve water! She finds pattern papers that perfectly complement the images from the  Wine A Little stamp and coordinating die set. The sentiment from this stamp set provides a bit of humor!

Joyce's darling card is packed full of puppy cuteness. All the puppies look like they are in a basket with the distressed background made using the Basketweave stencil.  She fills her card with puppies using the Woof Pack stamp set.  Don't you love how she fussy cuts two puppies to place outside her window?  Wonderfully done!

Claire's FAVE

Karen Guettler Carlson creates a window with the deer from the \Woodland Spring stamp and coordinating die set peeking through.  The striped background adds a dramatic touch. The added floral sprig pulls everything together wonderfully!

Debbie's FAVE

What do you get when you combine pineapples and a koala?   Kristi's card answers the riddle~piña koala!

Isn't her pineapple lovin' koala from the Pina Koala stamp set darling against the background of pineapples created using the Pineapple stencil.  The bright, crispness of her card is eye-catching!  So cute!

Diane's FAVE

Karen Guettler Carlson's CAS card is stunning with the striped banner behind the deer from the Woodland Spring stamp and coordinating die set. Leaving the image without color is a brilliant, bold move!
