Cari S. shows us how to conserve water! She finds pattern papers that perfectly complement the images from the  Wine A Little stamp and coordinating die set. The sentiment from this stamp set provides a bit of humor!  

Amy's FAVE

Joyce's darling card is packed full of puppy cuteness. All the puppies look like they are in a basket with the distressed background made using the Basketweave stencil.  She fills her card with puppies using the Woof Pack stamp set.  Don't you love how she fussy cuts two puppies to place outside her window?  Wonderfully done!

Claire's FAVE

Karen Guettler Carlson creates a window with the deer from the \Woodland Spring stamp and coordinating die set peeking through.  The striped background adds a dramatic touch. The added floral sprig pulls everything together wonderfully!

Debbie's FAVE

What do you get when you combine pineapples and a koala?   Kristi's card answers the riddle~piña koala!

Isn't her pineapple lovin' koala from the Pina Koala stamp set darling against the background of pineapples created using the Pineapple stencil.  The bright, crispness of her card is eye-catching!  So cute!

Diane's FAVE

Karen Guettler Carlson's CAS card is stunning with the striped banner behind the deer from the Woodland Spring stamp and coordinating die set. Leaving the image without color is a brilliant, bold move!

Amy's FAVE

Mary R. colors the flowers from the Heartfelt Bloom stamp set in the challenge colors and die cuts using the scallop heart from the Heart Frames die set.  She die cuts a dark lavender scalloped rectangle using the die from the Frames & Flags die set. She adds a lighter lavender and dark mint layer and white embosses the sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set. She adds a trio of shiny hearts to finish off her delightful card!

Claire's FAVE

Karen lightly colors the puppies from the \Woof Pack stamp set. Then she uses the challenge colors to add pops of color on the puppies' clothing!  The white embossed sentiment on a black banner that adds a nice dramatic touch! Fabulous!

Debbie's FAVE

Meghan K. creates a fun coffee-themed card using the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die set. She uses the challenge colors to great layers for her central focus those two cacti in their coffee mugs!  Don't you love how she repeatedly stamps the images for a fun patterned paper!  So cute!

Diane's FAVE

 We love how Kristi uses the Flower Trio die set with the challenge colors.  The flowers look amazing against the background made with the Basketweave stencil.  She pulls a sentiment from the Daffodils stamp set.  A beautiful way to utilize the challenge colors!

Sue's FAVE

Anila shows her creativity by coloring the flowers from the Roses stamp set and cut using the coordinating die set in shades of gray! She creates a graphic background using strips of pattern paper in the challenge colors. A few sequins add a touch of sparkle!  Such a striking card!

Inky Paws Challenge #147

Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This challenge is a:

Sketch Challenge.

Use the sketch with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, May 7, 2021 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Need to get inspired? See what our Inspiration Team created with this challenge! 

Diane Morales creates tons of puffy clouds just perfect for an airplane ride!  

Using the Clouds stencil, Diane adds clouds to her navy and light blue layers. She uses the Sky Borders die set to create the horizontal stripe.  Flying amongst all those clouds is our favorite bear, Winston from the Winston Takes Flight stamp and die set. What a fabulous way to send a hello greeting to a friend!

Sue T. creates a little tropical paradise just right for a little nap!  She begins by using the Tropical Leaves stencil in shades of greens. She then stamps and die cuts hibiscus flowers to create the stripe in the sketch. Her main attraction is napping Newton from the Aloha Newton stamp and die set in his hammock between two coconut trees!  Who wouldn't want to hang out in this slice of paradise?

Ready for puppy overload?  Then you will love Amy T.'s darling card!  She begins by creating a silver embossed background using the Woof stencil. She stamps the full image from the Woof  Pack stamp set, and colors the pack of puppies in a range of fun colors!  She stamps the sentiment in teal and distresses the white layer. Her glitter silver stripe adds more shimmer to this fun-lovin' puppy card!

Claire Lamb creates a yummy card showcasing the donut-lovin' kitty from the Newton's Donut stamp and die set!  She sets the scene by repeatedly embossing the small donut image and lightly distressing in pink. She embosses the sentiment on a pale teal banner die using the Banner Trio die set. Don't you just love those pink pads on her black and white kitten?  Just too cute!

 Debbie Owens creates a delightful underwater scene.  She uses the Frames & Flags and the Framework die sets to create layers in ocean-like colors and patterns. She uses dies from the Sea Borders set to create a wavy stripe as well as creating waves in the background from acetate, vellum, and white card stock with the sentiment stamped on it.  She then showcases the images from the Purr-maid Newton stamp set enjoying the water.  A few sequins add a shimmery touch.  Magical!

Debbie's FAVE

Here's a perfect card for the must-have coffee person in your life!  Meghan uses the two cacti images from the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die set and shades them and their mugs in the challenge colors. Using coordinating papers in teals and red, she creates fun layers accented with a red accented circle. With the red hearts and the multiply sentiments, it's a card any coffee lover would enjoy!

Diane's FAVE

KT Fit Kitty shows us a way to get more out of her Newton Makes Plans stamp and die set. Using hearts from the challenge colors, she layers two of them, a paperclip and one of the kitty images from the Newton Makes Plans stamp set. How fun to use these in one's planner or as a bookmark in a good chapter book!

Sue's FAVE

A. Rose wows with some of the puppies from the Woof Pack stamp set. She stamps them in the corner of her card and colors them in bright red, lime green, and red!  She balances the card by stamping the sentiment in the other bottom corner. A fun, creative card!


Becky's FAVE

Mugdha dry embosses her white panel card stock that makes for a perfect background for her teal ink blended circle. She adds the kitty frolicing in the pink tropical flowers from the Aloha Newton stamp set. The colors and texture all work together for a beautiful card! 

Crystal's FAVE

Annette creates a simply beautiful and colorful card. Using shimmer powders she creates a vibrant background. She shades her flowers from the Peony Blooms stamp and die set in red and teal. She adds a center strip with a sentiment from the Holding Happiness stamp set.

Inky Paws Challenge #95 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration 
for our current challenge! 

Here'a a refresher.
Sketch Challenge

Create a project using the above sketch. 

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 

This card is for all those dog lovers out there! Bobbi Lemanski used the Woof Pack stamp set to place on her black tag in which she added white stitching. She added twine for the bow and places this delightful card atop black graphing paper and a lime green base!

Debbie Owens creates a CAS birthday card full of balloons using bright colors and the Balloons stencil. She creates two tags in diagonal striped paper and stamps the sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set. She adds pink and white twine and sequins to finish it off.

Here's another card that will win over a dog lover's heart. This one is by Diane Morales. Diane creates her base by using the edge from the Framework die set. She then creates a wonderful plaid background using the Plaid stencil set and texture paste.   She uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create her fun banner and offers a How-To on her blog. For her main attraction she softly colors the puppies from the Puppy Pals stamp set. She adds a pop of red with the two little hearts!

With Easter just around the corner, Sue T.'s is sure to be a hit. Her pretty card begins with a die cut layer using the Frames & Flags die set. She adds horizontal score marks and adheres this layer on a white base. Her tag features this sweet collection of critters and eggs from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set in pale pastel colors. She adds touches of sparkle on her Easter eggs.

Becky Noelle creates this rainbow-colored card using the Bokeh stencil. She inked up the rainbow background and then mixed some glitter in with an embossing paste which she spread over one of the stencils on top of her inked circles. With such a sparkly background, she pairs it with the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set. She adds a black banner and a vellum tag with the sentiment embossed in white to finish her amazing card!

Candice sketches a fun backdrop for this handsome knight from the Knight's Quest stamp set who is showing his bravery against this sweet, oops, I mean fiercesome, dragon! 

Diane's FAVE

Sue's card just makes us smile with it's bright colors. The wreath of flowers surrounding the toucan from the  Toucan Party stamp set looks so cute. The googly eye is a fun, playful touch!

Emily's FAVE

Polka Dot Orchard colors only one puppy in this scene from the Woof Pack stamp set which really makes him stand out. Her use of the black background with the red strip and yellow polka dots provides a nice contrast. 

Zsofia's FAVE

Claire  creates this fabulous Father's day card using Newton's Book Club stamp set. She colors her kitty so sweetly and adds strips of a real book to pull everything together fabulously. The touch of glossy accents adds a fun playful touch!
