Inky Paws Challenge #229

Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This is a theme challenge.

Use the challenge theme, Birthday, with your NND products.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, August 16, 2024 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Amy Tollner is showcasing the newly released Fractured Card Layout die set for this darling birthday card. She pulls the cupcake paper from the Birthday Party paper pad to coordinate with her teal card base and frame. Looks like the little goat from the Bleat stamp and coordinating die set has already begun sampling those yummy cupcakes!

Claire's birthday card showcases Birthday Mice, Confetti, Speech Bubbles, and Oval Frames by Newton Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #birthdaycards, #mousecards, #micecards

Claire Lamb uses the Oval Frames die set to create an oval opening in her card base. She distresses a rainbow-like background with subtle confetti showing through it. (Confetti Stencil) Enjoying that festive setting is a pair of sweet mice from the Birthday Mice stamp and coordinating die set. Claire embosses her sentiments on black paper and uses a speech bubble (Speech Bubbles die set) for her happy birthday sentiment. So colorful and fun!

Crystal's birthday card features Newton's Heart, Newton's Birthday Delights, Fractured Card Layout, and Birthday Meows by Newton Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking, #birthdaycards, #catcards

Crystal Minkler is also featuring the newly released Fractured Card Layout die set. She then selects coordinating papers from the Birthday Meows paper pad. This makes for a festive backdrop for her sweet kitty from the Newton's Heart and coordinating die set. Claire paper-pieces the heart which is so clever and super cute! She completes her card with a present from the Newton's Birthday Delights and coordinating die set and her sentiment on a small banner. Darling!

Danni's birthday card features Farmyard, Frames & Flags, Farming Fun, by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Danni Bindel brings us a country birthday card filled with some vintage equipment from the Farming Fun stamp set. She uses the Frames & Tags die set to design her card along with papers from the Farmyard paper pad. A perfect way to celebrate a belated birthday!

Deb's birthday card features Cycling Friends, Oval Frames, Frames & Flags, and Springtime by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge

Debbie Owens uses pink and teal for this cute card. She embosses her frame and die cuts it with the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. She then pulls the pink striped paper from the Springtime paper pad and uses the Oval Frames die set. She places the bicycling trio from the Cycling Friends stamp set atop her oval. A bit of twine, and ta-dah a sweet birthday card!

Inky Paws Challenge #170 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

Claire Lamb brings us this bright lemon-filled card showcasing lemons from the Lemon Twist stamp and die set on a pretty blue distressed background. She pulls a sentiment from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set to finish her festive card!

Debbie Owens designs a pretty card showcasing the Daffodils and Tulips stamp sets. She places them on an open-framed oval using dies from the Oval Frames die set. She stamps the sentiment on a banner from the A7 Frames and Banners die set. A lovely way to let someone know you are thinking of him/her!

Diane Morales is back this week for a super fun coffee card! With a navy blue scallop-edged base (Frames & Flags die set), she adds a pattern using the Argyle stencil set. She adds her green truck from the Farming Fun stamp set and die set carrying an overly large latte from the Time for Coffee stamp set. The sentiment works amazing with the truck and coffee cup!

Sue T. is bringing birthday wishes with lots of cupcakes! She features our favorite cat, Newton, atop his very own cupcake from the Newton's Cupcake stamp and die set. Behind him are matching mini-cupcakes created using the Cupcake stencil. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to create the scallop-edging. So much cupcake cuteness!

Amy Tollner was inspired to use the Daffodils stamp and die set for her featured stamp set. She places her blooms atop a speckled background framed with a yellow scallop-edged oval (Oval Frames die set). She creates a navy blue banner using the Banner Trio die set to match her blue background. Lovely!

Dayna's cacti card is so bright and cheerful with the cacti repeatedly (Cultivated Cacti stamp set) stamped in the background. Dayna then showcases the two cacti from the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die set with the fun sentiment. The bright yellow, lime green, and splash of orange is so pretty!

Another card from Debbie caught our eye with the pretty color combination and the horizontal stripes that look like rows of crops. Her little green tractor from the Farming Fun stamp and die set is putting along on a beautiful cloudy day! A fun way to send belated birthday wishes!

With the striped backdrop cut withe scallop-edged die from the Frame & Flags die set, Diane Mora les creates a serene scene with her yellow truck from the Farming Fun stamp and die set taking center stage on a circle frame using the Circle Frames die set. She fills the bed of the truck with a giant pumpkin from the Harvest Tails stamp and die set. She uses the Land Borders die set to create a small green hill. She adds extra pumpkins and leaves fluttering around her card using the smaller elements from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She stamps the "Welcome Autumn" sentiment from the Fall Roundabout stamp set on the rounded banner die in the Banner Trio die set. A fun way to bring in the new season!

Fall blessings by Sue T. features Circle Frames and Fall Roundabout by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

Sue T. creates a circle card on Kraft card stock using the Circle Frames die set. She stamps the fall circular image from the Fall Roundabout stamp set on four different colored papers. She cuts them in strips and reassembles them in a circle which makes for a fabulous backdrop. She cuts a dark brown strip with scallop-edges and heat embosses the "Fall Blessings" sentiment. She uses dimensional tape to create dimension for a fabulous fall card!

Every year by Becky features Fancy Edges Tag, Fall-ing for You, and Falling Leaves by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

Becky Noelle is back with her spectacular use of stencils! For this card, she uses the Falling Leaves stencil on a wood veneer paper. After she uses many colored distress inks for her leaves, she hand draws the veins on each leaf! Gorgeous! She then uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create a vellum tag with the poem from the Fall-ing for You stamp set embossed in white. She adds stitching to the bottom of her tag and jute for her bow at the top. Don't you just love the mix of textures and rich colors?!

Take delight in the small things by Crystal features Hummingbird and Slimline Frames & Windows by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

Crystal Komara uses gold foil paper die cute from the Slimline Frames & Windows die set to create her trio of windows. In the background, she uses goldenrod yellow gingham for a country feel. She uses Copic markers to color the sweet bird from the Hummingbird stamp and die set and stamps multiple stems of flowers and arranges them up her vertical card. A beautiful autumn card with a touch of golden elegance!

Happy Paw-tumn features Houndstooth, Paw-tumn Newton, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

Debbie Owens begins her card with a steel-gray base. Using the Houndstooth Stencil, she distresses uses a light brown which coordinates with the center of her flowers. She die cuts this layer using the postage-edge die out of the Framework die set. She adds her autumn image from the Paw-tumn Newton stamp set. She adds olive green ribbon and stamps the sentiment on a die-cut banner from the Banner Trio die set. A sweet country fall card!
