Marianne pulls festive papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad for her two cards.  She then pulls the kitty from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set in his tangle of lights as well as the kitty from the Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set to feature on each card. Adding a little Santa hat changes the birthday kitty into a Christmas one!  Both cards are absolutely darling!

Inky Paws Challenge #207 Favorites

Danni's FAVE

Kristi wowed us with her monochromatic card.  She used the Halloween Meows paper pad and pulled three different designs in blacks and whites. Don't they look spooky together?  She then uses the retired  Cameo Frame die with a silver embossed sentiment from the retired Creepy Cameos stamp set.  The overall effect is spookily elegant!

Debbie's FAVE

Angy Hughes' repeated use of the Spooky Line stencil at an angle caught Deb's eye.  Such a creative background for her darling kitty in his candy corn costume.  This sweet image is from the newly released Candy Corn Newton stamp set. Such a fun Halloween card!

Amy's FAVE

Angy Hughes is on a roll with her fabulous backgrounds!  Her water colored background in soft autumn colors and subtle leaves (Falling Leaves Stencil) caught Amy's eye.  Paired with the latte-lovin' lady from the Pumpkin Spice Latte stamp set, Angy creates a fabulous shaker autumn card!

Claire's FAVE

Laurie uses the same exact products in Angy's card!  Laurie's card features the softest of pastel colors that are just gorgeous. She uses a dimensional paste with the Falling Leaves stencil, so her leaves have a bit of texture yet remain subtle. She colors her latte lovin' lady from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and coordinating die set in the same soft pastels.  Gorgeous!

Crystal's FAVE

Maria's use of the diagonal stripes in the sketch as curtains was so creative and clever. Enjoying her partially opened curtains is a lovely lady and her duo of cats from the A Cozy Day In stamp set.  Maria then personalizes the book by adding her own title!  So creative and clever!

KT Fit Kitty uses the Blooming Botanicals stamp set and colors the floral images in the colors of the challenge.  She then cuts this full-front image into squares to create a horizontal stripe with them. She creates her custom sentiment by mixing sentiments from the Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set and athe 

Basket of Wishes (Retired) stamp set.  A beautiful way to showcase the Blooming Botanicals stamp set.

Inky Paws Challenge #143 Favorites

Sue's FAVE

Ishani has a knack of mixing and matching stamps, dies, and stencils to make a delightful card that still has a clean, crisp look.  On a lavender pattern paper, Ishani adds a layer that has green and yellow dots. Her kitty from the Aloha Newton stamp set looks beautiful in the tropical flowers and foliage.  She then adds a die cut sun and some fabulous clouds.  Such a cheerful birthday card!

Amy's FAVE

A. Rose designs this bold, clean card that depicts a cat's favorite pastime--watching birdies!  Her white and gray kitty from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set has been fussy cut.  She is sitting on a window sill watching a birdie from the Newton's Birthday Flutter stamp set.  She white embosses the sentiment on black. Opening the card, you'll find a humorous surprise!  She has added the naughty kitty from the Newton's Birthday Flutter stamp set and the sentiment, "so I ate him!"  This card is sure to have the recipient giggling!  

 

Claire's FAVE

Donna adds the perfect embellishments to showcase her lavender flowers from the Peony Blooms stamp and cut using the coordinating die set. The Swiss dotted ribbon and stitching add such a beautiful shabby-chic feel.  Her yellow and white watercolor backdrop make for a soft, beautiful background. Wonderfully done!

Debbie's FAVE

Priscilla Joseph begins with a cloudy sky of yellow and bright green grass.  She has hidden a couple chicks and egg amid the grass.  She adds a die cut that mimics chicken-wire fence.  In front is the sweet kitty from the Newton's Peeps stamp and die set. The pretty purple basket with the green trim is perfect for the yellow peeps!  Such a fun, clever card!

Diane's FAVE

Kristi brings us card that is just beautiful with its arrangements of elements. She uses the Basketweave stencil to create her spring green background. She uses an oval die to create the central element.  She then stamps, colors and die cuts the flowers and butterflies from the Daffodils stamp and die set. The overall effect is just beautiful!

Crystal Komara chooses her very first Newton's Nook stamp set to showcase as her favorite.  She uses the three kitty images from the Santa Paws stamp and coordinating die set and arranges them around the panels from the Slimline Frames & Windows die set.  The red and white diagonal paper coordinates purr-fectly with the Santa's suit!  Thanks Crystal for sharing showcasing your favorite set!

 Debbie Owens couldn't quite narrow it down to one stamp set, but combines two Newton Christmas sets to create this little scene. Set atop a red and a green layer die cut using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set, she begins her little story with Newton (Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set) anxiously awaiting Santa's arrival.  The next panel shows Santa (Santa Paws Newton stamp set) sliding down the chimney.  Cut to the last scene, you'll spy Santa (Santa Paws Newton stamp set) pulling out presents for our beloved Newton!  Deb stamps the sentiment from the Newton's Christmas Kittens stamp set on a banner die cut using the Frames & Flags die set.  Super fun!

Diane Morales also showcases her very first stamp set from Newton's Nook Designs, Naughty Newton and coordinating die set.! This set features Newton getting into lots of mischief!  Diane pairs Newton up with those spectacular daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp set and cut using the coordinating die set.   As many of you may have noticed, Diane likes to deviate from traditional A2 cards. This is a square card created using the Frames Squared die set. 

Sue T. shares her "go-to" stamp set, ! For this cute card, she adds splashes of water using the Waves & Splashes stencil in the circle of her sunray background. Then she adds the darling shark from the Shark Bites stamp and die set with his big, friendly smile!  She adds the sentiment in a speech bubble die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set. 

 Becky Noelle selects the All Aboard for Christmas stamp and die set as her favorite!  This set is perfect for slimline cards, and Becky uses the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to begin her scene.  She makes some small snowy hills using the Land Borders die set. Peeking behind those hills are some snow-tipped trees die cut from the Forest Scene Builder die set.  Then she adds the train filled with all the critters and presents from the All Aboard for Christmas stamp and die set. The puffy clouds and pom-poms are perfect touches!

Claire L.  adds the little strip of outer space which is a fabulous use of the sketch. She adds Newton from the Cosmic Newton stamp and coordinating die set and shades his ship in colors of the rainbow!  A darling way to send encouragement!  

Crystal's FAVE

Valerie  snowy sky and hilly landscape is a fabulous interpretation of the sketch!  She adds the trio of snow-lovin' kittens from the Newton's Toboggan stamp and die set.  Bring on the snow, indeed!

Debbie's FAVE

Amy T. creates a striking background using the Flying Bats stencil and distress inks. Her colors are so vibrant!  Then there's Vampire Newton from the Batty Newton stamp and die set with his teal wings.  She uses the Circle Frames die set for circular frame.  A great way to end the Halloween season!

Diane's FAVE

Bhavya also uses the sketch in a fun way by using the layers of snow for her diagonal stripes. She creates a spectacular pink background with fluffy snowflakes sprinkling down on her snowman and kitty from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp and die set. A speCATular wintery scene!

Sue's FAVE

Sandi Pressley uses bold graphic colors that really showcases this polar bear couple from the retired stamp set, Holiday Smooches stamp set. The little heart between them is a wonderful touch.  Just love the blue and red against that black!

Inky Paws Challenge #114 Winner!

We've chosen one RANDOM winner using random.org to receive a $20 Store Credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Is it spring yet? Not quite, but Tracie C.'s card will add some flowery brightness for those snowbound or with the winter blues! Tracie uses the dies from the Frames & Flags die set to cut her panels--one with a blue-gingham like pattern. The other with a plaid design in pinks and greens. She overlays the plaid layer with a green panel which has leaves stamped on it. Her focal image are those beautiful pink flowers from the Peony Blooms stamp set with the sentiment coming from the Beautiful Wings stamp set. Adding pink ribbon with a bow and floral button are her final touches. Thank you, Tracie, for this breath of spring!

Becky's FAVE

Love is definitely in the air with Paula's daring card. Pattern paper sets the scene for the beautifully colored feline couple from the Newton's Sweetheart stamp set. She anchors everything together by tucking a die cut heart behind the kitties. She adds a little red banner with the sentiment embossed in white for the finishing touch! How romantic!

Crystal's FAVE

Amy T. creates a starry night just perfect for the curious kitten from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp and die set to stay up late and watch for Santa Claws! She embosses the sentiment in white on a midnight blue layer. For some added sparkle, she uses the Frames & Flags scallop-edged die to cut a glittery silver frame matted on a navy blue card base. Her sprinkling of silver sequin stars and light blue ribbon are perfect embellishments!


Debbie's FAVE

Mugdha is on a roll with her scooter-themed cards, and this one doesn't disappoint! This time her cruisin' kitty from the Newton Scoots By stamp and die set is off to a big city for another adventure! Mugdha's background of the city with the vellum panel overlay is a fabulous way to interpret the sketch. And the white outline of the clouds is afun touch! Zoom! Zoom!

Diane's FAVE

What is black and white with a splash of red? Priscilla's eye-catching card, of course! With the white snowflake background, Priscilla adds a black panel with white evergreens using the Evergreens stencil. She then downloads a free NND digital and adds those darling mittens. Don't you love that little splash of red on the hearts and how the card matches the hat!

Sue's FAVE

Becca serves up a whole lot of java fun! Using the sloth from the Slothy Coffee stamp and die set, she adds coffee bean images over a dictionary page underneath a java cup embossed layer! If that's not enough fun, she has a fun polka dotted background! Wow!

Here's some inspiration!

Need to get inspired? See what our Inspiration Team created with this challenge!   

Diane Morales splashes Distress Ink colors to create her tag background. She then uses the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp and die set and colors the snowman's scarf and hat in lime green and teal. The little pop of red on the bird provides a nice pop of color.  Using a sentiment from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set, she stamps it in black. Her final touches of sequin snowflakes and twine add some texture and shine!

Sue T. lets the bold sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set take center stage. For her background, she uses the challenge colors withe the  Holiday Foliage stencil. She adds blue snowflakes using a small stamp from the Winter Memories stamp set. She creates the scallop-edged frame using the Frames and Flags die set. Sue adds some silver dots and twine to finish her elegant card. 

 Becky Noelle hand draws a branch on which she adds her gorgeous ornaments. Using the Beautiful Baubles stamp and die set, Becky embosses the ornaments in silver. She then paints the ornaments using water color pens. She adds silver thread to "hang" them from the tree. She then stamps the sentiment from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set to finish her card. 

Bobbi Lemanski creates two playful tags with snowboarding moose!  Using silvery glitter paste with the Petite Snow stencil, Bobbi adds a background of snowfall. Using the Evergreen stencils, she adds to her background. She colors the moose from the Mouse Mountain stamp and die set in the challenge colors and adds her sentiments using the Speech Bubbles die set. 

Do you have your shopping done!  Well, Debbie Owens lady looks like she does!  Using the package-laden image from the Christmas Haul stamp set, Debbie colors her in the challenge colors and places her on a teal-foil frame using the Cameo Frame die set. She then colors the Holiday Fringe stamp set and cuts it into fourths. Cutting a white, scallop-edged frame using the Frames and Flags die set, she adds the Holiday Fringe pieces to each corner. She adds silver ribbon which mimics ribbon on a package.  She adds the cameo-framed image in the center. of the ribbon!  Fun & festive!
