Inky Paws Challenge #230

Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This is a colors challenge.

Use the challenge colors Eggplant, Raspberry, Apricot, Jade Green with your NND products.

Don't forget you can link up to 3 projects for each challenge!

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, August 30, 2024 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Need a tropical escape? Claire Lamb will provide just that! Her slice of paradise was created using the Palm Tree Line stencil with a spectacular sunset behind. She adds her sandy beach using the Land Borders die set. She finds a perfect sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set. Such a serene setting!

Crystal Minkler brings us another farm-themed birthday card! This week's card features a sweet hen from the Cluck stamp and coordinating die set. She has placed her on a panel from the Fractured Card Layout die. Crystal then finds the perfect paper with the challenge colors! Both papers are from the Halloween Meows paper pad. The fun-scallop edging was created using the Frames & Flags Die Set. Darling card, Crystal!

Danni Bindel is getting us ready for Halloween season with her card featuring papers from the Halloween Time paper pad in combination with the A2 Card Layout die. Her kitty all deck out in his candy corn costume is from the Candy Corn Newton stamp and coordinating die set. Here's hoping he gets lots of treats!

Deb's friendship card features Plaid, Fall Friends, Fall Harvest, Frames & Flags, Basic Frames, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #newtonsnookdesigns, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #friendshipcards #friendship, #thankfulcards

Debbie Owens opts for a lighter shade of jade for her card. She uses many die sets to create her many layers. Her raspberry layer uses the Framework die set. She then uses a stencil from the Plaid stencil set for her pale jade layer die cut using the stitched frame with a vellum layer atop it. Both were made using the Basic Frames die set. She then features the Fall Friends stamp set with a kitty from the Fall Harvest stamp set. She places her sentiment on a banner using the Frames & Flags die set. Such a fun, cozy scene!

Newton is learning how to spend his 9 lives on Amy Tollner's darling card! She uses papers from the Bright Basics paper pad for her jade and eggplant colors. Then adds shelves of books using the Newton's Reading List stamp and coordinating die set and the Never Enough Books stamp and coordinating die set. She creates her shelves using the Frames & Tags die set. A darling setting to spend a day reading!

Vicki showcases our margarita-lovin' feline from the Newton Loves Taco stamp and coordinating die set. Look closely and you'll spy some salt on the rim! She sets her festive feline on fun designer papers created by repeatedly stamping the taco image on the blue card base and the happy birthday sentiment (retired Simply Sentimental stamp set) on the pink scallop-edged (Framework die set) paper. Vicki adds a bit of green with the strip of paper and the lime! The overall effect is a fun, vibrant birthday card!

We loved how Becca shows the challenge colors in such an understated way. By adding the heart layer with the colored butterflies from the Heartfelt Butterflies stamp above the full, black & white image, the butterflies look like they take flight upon being colored. Wonderfully done, Becca!

Mugdha uses the challenge colors for this super fun party card! She places our party-going Newton from the Newton Celebrates stamp and coordinating die set in a blue martini glass with pink and red confetti floating about. She adds a bit of green with the olive to complete this fantastic party scene! Anyone else want to party with this fellow?!

With the trio of vintage vehicles from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set, it looks like you've arrived at the beach for some summer fun!

Marianne brings more savory drinks to the table using the Cocktail Mixer stamp and coordinating die set. We loved the big round "coasters" behind each drink, especially with splattering of ink for added texture. The black embossed sentiments and enameled dots add the perfect touches to this fantastic card! Cheers!

Inky Paws Challenge #203

Debbie Owens uses the Palm Tree Line stencil set to create a fun tropical scene complete with pink and red striped tree trunks! She continues with the pink and red stripes by pulling strips of paper from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She adds a pop of blue beneath the sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set using dies from the Circle Frames die set. A fun, creative way to use the challenge colors.

Amy Tollner's card is definitely fla-mazing! Surrounded by those big tropical leaves created using the Tropical Leaves stencil, those cute, pink birds are from the Flamingo Oval stamp set, and they are looking marvelous. To create her many layers, Amy uses the Oval Frames and the Frames & Flags die set. Fabulously done!

Like sprinkles? Then you are going to love Claire Lamb's card! Using the mini images in the Newton's Donut stamp, Claire creates a tasty background of donuts and sprinkles. And guess who is enjoying those treats, our very own Newton from the same set cut using the coordinating die set. The clean and simple style of Claire's card definitely showcases this stamp set wonderfully!
