Inky Paws Challenge #9 - Spring Color Challenge!

Happy Friday and the the first day of #09 Inky Paws Challenge!  

This month's challenge is a Color Challenge!

I just love spring flowers so I thought  this beautiful bouquet would be perfect inspiration for a fun spring color challenge!

 The colors we're looking for in projects are: Pale Pink  • Yellow • Lilac • Soft Green

Tessa Wise created this fun using our Love Grows set. What a perfect card for Mother's Day! 

Samantha Mann created this fun card using the the banner from the Winged Wishes with the bird from the Snow Day set. I love the soft colors behind the bird!

Guest Designer, Elena Joldersma created this fun card using our Versatile Vases set. Those little flowers make the perfect pops of color. 

Design Team Member, Christine Drogt created this fun using our Love Grows Set. I love those watercolored roses! So pretty! 

Larissa Heskett created this pretty card using the mason jar and flower from the Versatile Vases set. She also used the doodle line stamp from the Love à la Carte stamp set to make the fun pattern on the bottom! 

Here's one from me - I created this spring tulip card using the Easter Scramble set. To stamp the fill on the tulips, I just flipped the stamp over and used the back side of the stamp to create a solid shape!

And one more - for this one, I used the vases from the Versatile Vases set and paper-pierced them to add some simple color to this card. I colored the flowers with copics.

Inky Paws #8 Challenge Winners!

Inky Paws #08 Challenge - WINNERS! 

We really had fun a blast checking out all the great entries for our latest  Inky Paws Challenge at here at the Newton's Nook Designs blog! This months theme was a diagonal sketch! As always- it's VERY difficult to pick the winners because all the cards are so AMAZING! Thanks to everyone who played along!

Our first winner is this cute card by Jess! We loved how she made a "diagonal" of grass for her divider. She also did a great job coloring the raccoon from our Sweetheart Tails Set. You can see more of her work and congratulate Jess on her blog, Basic Jess. 

Our second winner was this card by Donna! Our favorite part was the paper-pierced boots and umbrella that match the paper on the bottom of the card!  Plus the bright colors are great for Spring! Donna used our Spring Showers set. To say hello to her - check out her blog, Creative Lady.

Inky Paws Favorites

We really thought this card by Lysa was fun! We love how she used the digital freebie bird image and paper pierced it out! And the little row of buttons on the bottom is so cute!  

The contrast of colors on this card by Kate really caught our eye. We love how she mixed neutral background patterns with the pops of red and yellow! She did a great job coloring that kitty from our Newton's Birthday Bash set too! 

We loved this snuggly kitty card by Kelly! She used the little heart over and over to create her own background for the top of the card -so fun! You can find that heart and the snuggling kitties in our Newton's Antics set.

We loved the "green dot" theme that Donna used on her card with the Newton's Birthday Bash set. She has a dotted background texture, dotted patterned paper and sequins too! Great job!

This card by Kanan was a different twist on the green challenge - instead of creating a spring card like most of the participants, she used our  Holiday Wishes to create a pretty green Holiday card! We loved all the shades of green and bits of sparkle!

This little tag by Kelli is just adorable! We loved the way she colored the kitty from our Newton's Antics stamp set. Plus there are a ton of shades of green on this little piece! What a fun tag!

I love the green watercolor background on this card by our Guest Designer, Debbie Owens! She used our new stamp set, Winston's Birthday!

Our Guest Designer, Chrissie Tobas also did a watercolor background on her card featuring Newton's Birthday Bash! I love how this turned out too!  

 Design Team Member Danielle used our Dino Set, Prehistoric Pals to create this fun green scene! 

 This cute kitty card by Samantha Mann makes me smile! I love the sentiment she created to go with the kitty from Newton's Antics! Plus the green box is adorable!

Larissa Heskett is so good at combining stamps from different sets! She use the owl from Sweetheart Tails, the Branch and birdcage from Tweet Talk and the "hey there" from Love à la Carte!

For this fun "green" card Design Team Member Tessa Wise used the fun dragon from our Magical Dreams stamp set! I love the little bits of colored tape too! 

This fun card is by Design Team Member Christine Drogt. Christine used the bear from our Halloween set, Boo Crew and made it into a get well card! Such a fun idea!

Here's one from me :) I used some fun arrow washi tape and gave the kitty from Newton's Birthday Bash a stack of paper pierced green gifts! 

Another one by me - I couldn't resist using the newly- named Winston! I used the Winston's Birthday Stamp set to create this fun green scene!

Inky Paws #06 Challenge - WINNERS!

And a card from me :) I used the snuggling kitties from the  Newton's Antics stamp set and watercolored them to bring in the yellow. Then I used patterned papers and a green card base to bring in the other colors!
