Amy M. creates some shelves using the Frames & Tags die set and she places lots of books to read. Those pretty books are from the Never Enough Books stamp set. Love all the layers! A perfect card for a book lover!

Amy Isley creates the cutest underwater scene! Her beautifully colored creatures are from the retired Tides of Love stamp set. She adds a strip of purple polka dotted paper from the Bright Basics paper pad behind her scene for a pop of color.  Such a creative way to use the challenge colors!

Claire's FAVE

Claire was drawn to the simplicity of Arlene L.'s darling card. Arlene's clean and simple design features the little rabbit from the retired Hare Mail stamp set. Wonderfully done!

Crystal's FAVE

 

Crystal likes the layout and design of Mindy's fun card!  Mindy uses the polka dotted paper from the Bright Basics paper pad. She then adds the next layer using the Serene Stripes stencil. The star attraction are those darling puppies from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set.  Wonderfully done!

Danni's FAVE

Danni like the layout and coloring of Tracie C.'s sweet card.  The pretty flowered background looks lovely with the feline floating in the air. This little cat is from the retiring Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp set. A purr-fect way to send birthday wishes!

Inky Paws Challenge #236-Week 4

 

  Our January Challenge Continues!

For the month of January 

we have fabulous colors to play with!

Use Cherry Red, Turquoise, Buttery Brown, and White with your NND products. 

You have a few more days to get creative with these colors and your NND Products!

You have until Friday, Janary 31, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

There's so many ways to use these colors with your NND paper pads, stamps, and dies.  Are you in the mood to make wedding cards, birthday cards, spring cards?  With these colors, you can't go wrong. Let's see how the colors inspired the IPC team:

Amy Tollner starts us off with this delightful Valentine's card featuring the canine from the Puppy Heart stamp and coordinating die set. Goodness, he is so cute!  She creates her card layout using the Fractured Card Layout die with the puppy pawprint paper from the Love & Meows paper pad. A darling way to send Valentine's love!

Claire Lamb's coffee first card speaks to a lot of our morning hearts!  Her coffee-themed card showcases the horizontal cups from the Coffee Delights stamp and coordinating die set atop a partially distressed background. She adds the die cut sentiment using the Coffee Frames die set. Just love the pops of red on her cups!

Crystal Minkler, too, was inspired to use the canine from the Puppy Heart stamp and coordinating die set. She uses dies from the Basic Frames and the Circle Frames die sets to create her layers using papers from the Love & Woofs paper pad. Just love those little puppies in the background with their little hearts!  

Danni Bindel takes us to the ocean to send some Valentine's love! She uses the Frames & Flags die set to create her zigzag frame and paneled frame. She then places two darling aquatic friends in the panels to send a pinch of love. Those darling critters are from the Tides of Love stamp and coordinating die set. Too cute!

Debbie Owens shares a card that sends sympathy to one who has lost a fur baby. She showcases the sentiment and the pawprint heart from the Furr-ever Friends stamp set with a canine die cut using the Dog Silhouette die set. She places these atop of rectangle panels using papers from the Pastel Basics and the Lovely Hearts paper pads. For her background, she uses the Petite Pawprint stencil. A nice way to support a loved one who is grieving.

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Crystal Minkler is beach bound in her red VW Bug! She showcases this cute card from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set and creates a tropical scene with fun papers from the Summertime paper pad. She uses the A2 Card Layout Die Set to create the frame. So much summer cuteness!

Danni Bindel showcases a very lazy Newton from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp and coordinating die set who is languorously enjoying a summer day on his floatie! Danni uses papers from the Summertime paper pad with dies from the Sea Borders and the Sky Scene Builder die sets to create the sky and layers of waves. She adds postage-edging from the Framework die set. Anyone else want to join Newton on his lazy river adventure?

Debbie Owens showcases the tiny crab from the Tides of Love stamp set who is enjoying a day of collecting seashells. Deb uses the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her layout, and she uses the Seashells Stencil to create those pretty seashells. She pulls a sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set. Such a fun way to showcase this little guy!

Amy Tollner showcases a trio of beach-bound vehicles from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set. She showcases them on palm tree paper from the Summertime paper pad. She uses dies from the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her layout. Which vehicle would you choose to go to the beach?

Claire Lamb showcases Newton's pretty hanging basket filled with summer leaves. Her beautiful distressing compliments Newton and his basket from the Newton's Hanging Basket stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Basic Frames die set to create the stitching on her panel. Hope your hanging baskets looks as good as Claire's!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales uses papers from the Summertime paper pad to showcase her yummy, frozen treats from the Summer Scoops stamp and die set. To make this delicious card, she also uses several die sets: Circle Frames die set for the pink circle, Frames Squared die set for the decorative-edged square, and A7 Frames & Banners die set for the little banner.  Scrumptious!

Sue T. pairs the Tulips stamp and die set with the tulip-pattern paper from the Springtime paper pad. Stamping the tulips on the base card is a creative way to use the sketch and add dimension to her floral garden!  So pretty!

Amy Tollner pairs the ukulele-playing kitten from the Aloha Newton stamp and die set with bright, tropical papers from the Summertime paper pad. She stamps the sentiment on a banner made using the Frames & Flags die set. Doesn't this look like a tropical paradise?

Claire Lamb creates a amazing CAS card using the lounging lady from the Summer Moments stamp and die set with the rays of sunshine behind her. These were made using the Sunscape stencil. What a relaxing scene!

 Debbie Owens also goes with a beach theme. For her card, she has Newton from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set catching a big wave. She adds texture to her water using the Sea Borders die set, and she uses the  Clouds stencil for her cloudy sky. On the beach, she adds seashells (Summer Moments stamp set), a pail of sand (Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set), and a little red crab (Tides of Love stamp set). She stamps a sentiment from the Beach Bound stamp set on a banner using the Banner Trio die set.  Pulling the small elements from various sets can add such fun details to any scene!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Amy Tollner uses the challenge colors to create a bright, bold shaker card!  She uses the Frames Squared die set to create her card base and scallop-edged shaker frame showcasing the Floral Fringe stamp set. Don't you love her beautiful coloring of the flowers in the challenge colors!  Brilliantly done!

Claire Lamb die cuts multiple speech bubbles using the Speech Bubble die set to create textured background. She then uses the challenge colors to distress a rainbow backdrop die cut using the stitched die from the Frames Squared die set. She spot lights the trio of kittens from the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp and cut using the coordinating die set. The glossy accents on the small speech bubbles adds a nice finishing touch!  SpeCATular!

 Debbie Owens takes us under the sea using the challenge colors. Using the square scallop-edged die from the Frames Squared die set, she die cuts a lavender pattern paper layer.  She adds a circular scallop-edged using a die from the Circle Frames die set. On this circle she has added some subtle waves using texture paste and the Waves stencil. In those waves, she adds Newton from the Scuba Newton stamp set.  She adds sea critters, coral, and seaweed using elements from both the Tides of Love stamp set and the Scuba Newton stamp set. Her last touch is the speech bubble die cut using the Speech Bubbles die set. Delightful!

Diane Morales cuts strips of paper in the challenge colors for her background on which she stamps and embosses the lily image from the Easter Lily stamp set repeatedly. She then a white frame popped with dimension tape using the Snow Globe Shaker set die.  She then stamps and colors the lovely birds from the Toucan Party stamp and cut using the coordinating die set.  A colorful way to celebrate an anniversary of a marriage! 

Sue T.'s  uses the challenge colors to create a pretty garden complete with a hummingbird!  A top an embossed card base, Sue adds a stitched circle layer die cut using the Circle Frames die set. On this circle she has stamped and shaded the flowers from the Hummingbird stamp in lavender and mint.  She then stamps and colors the hummingbird from the aforementioned set in plum and green. She uses the coordinating die set to cut out the bird and then affixing with dimension tape.  She stamps the sentiment on a speech bubble die cut from the Speech Bubbles die set. Beautiful!

Create a project using watercolors!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales heat embosses the full-front image from the Caffeinated Cats stamp set in white and uses a trio of watercolors to create a colorful backdrop.  She uses the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. For her center piece she die cuts a scalloped circle using the Circle Frames die set and adds the darling tea-lovin' kitty from the Newton's Mug stamp and die set. The white embossed sentiment really stands out against the red mug!  Tea-riffic!

 

Sue T. uses her water colors to create layers of clouds from the Sky Borders die in the pattern of a rainbow!  This colorful setting is perfect for her darling unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set to play amid!  Unicorns and rainbows make for a magical combination!

Amy Tollner's brilliant and bold watercolor background is truly amazing!  She adds glittery stars and specks of gold to turn her sky into the Milky Way.  She adds three images from the Cosmic Newton stamp set and cuts using the coordinating die set. Doesn't Newton look spectacular in his green spaceship while his friend spies on the astronaut floating through space?  By using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set, Amy is able to capture the full scene grounded by using the Land Borders die set.  

Claire Lamb's splash of bright yellow watercolors is a perfect backdrop for this hungry kitten looking for a snack.  That naughty kitten is from the Newtons' Picnic stamp set and cut using the coordinating die set.  Claire's fabulous coloring and the addition of those little ants makes for a bright, fun card!  Dig in, indeed!

 Debbie Owens brings us a tropical delight beginning by using watercolors with the Waves stencil for a watery effect. She then die cuts using the Sea Borders die set to create some waves for the sweet whale from the Tides of Love stamp set.  In the background, she has created a sunset using watercolors with the silhouette of an island and palm trees from the Paradise of Palms stamp set in the background. She uses the small, scallop-edged die from the Framework die set from Kraft card stock to frame her scene.  A sweet way to send some love!
