Inky Paws Challenge #255 Week 3

We have a great sketch to get your creative juices flowing!

Have fun using the Challenge Sketch!

You have until Friday, August 28, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration:  This sketch features a fun angled layout! Try using this sketch with our Card Layout 7 Die or cut the angles with a scissor or trimmer. Put a different image in each section or keep it simple with patterned papers and sentiments. All themes are welcome as long as the sketch is used.

Claire Lamb showcases the bouquet of flowers from the Fall Harvest stamp and coordinating die set. She coordinates her lavender flowers with papers from the Spring Blooms paper pack. For her designs, she uses the Card Layout 7 die. Such a wonderful way to showcase smaller images!

Danni Bindel is gearing up for fall with this sweet card featuring a trio of felines from the Pumpkin Tails stamp set. She showcases them with papers from the Autumn paper pad. She uses the Card Layout 7 die for her design with a stitched circle (Frames Squared die set) for her sentiment. Such a fun autumn card!

Debbie Owens is getting ready for school with this book-filled card! She selects images with books from the Newton's Book Club, the All Booked Up, and the Never Enough Books stamp sets. She selects papers from the Black & White Basics paper pack to showcase these scholarly felines. She also used the Card Layout 7 for her layout with her sentiment on a banner (Frames & Flags die set). Love all those colorful books!

Kelly Santi is rockin' out with this darling card featuring Newton from the Newton's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die. She selects paper from the New Retro paper pack and uses the Card Layout 7 die for her layout. She pulls sentiments from the Party On stamp set. She uses a vellum stitched circle (Circle Frame die set) to highlight Newton with his mixed tape! Darling!

Amy's Halloween card features Trick or Treat Newton, Haunted House, Spooky Sky, Basic Frames, Halloween Time, Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock, and Card Layout 7 by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #cardmakingideas, #nndstamps, #nndpapers, #halloweencards, #catcards
Amy Tollner has created a card purr-fect for those candy-lovin' felines from the Trick-or-Treat Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Haunted House die and the Spooky Sky die set to create some of the scene with paper from the Halloween Time paper pack finishing it off. She uses the Card Layout 7 die to create her layout with glitter paper for the framing (Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment). Her sentiment is on a stitched panel (Basic Frames die set). Hope those little trick-or-treaters don't get scared! 🙀

Claire Lamb creates a card perfect for any bibliophile. She uses the All Booked Up stamp and coordinating die set with the Never Enough Books stamp and coordinating die set. To design her card she uses paper from the New Retro paper pack with the Oval Frames and the Banner Trio die sets.  Don't all those books make you happy?!

Danni's card features Newton's Mix Tape, New Retro, A2 Card Layout 2, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardchallenge, #nndstamps, #nndpaper, #retrocards, #catcards
Danni Bindel creates a fun card using lots of papers from the New Retro paper pack and the A2 Card Layout 2 die. She adds the cute feline from the Newton's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die set atop her circular panels made using the Circle Frames die set. Super fun!

For her background, she uses the Petite Flowers stencil to emboss subtle flowers for added texture. Her star attraction is the sweet image from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp set. Her sentiment is from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. So cute!

Debbie loved the patterns and monochromatic color scheme of Christy's fabulous card!  To create her many patterns, Christy uses the Quatrefoil stencil, the Trailing Leaves stencil, and papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad.  Enjoying all the green is Newton from the Newton's Hanging Basket stamp and coordinating die set.  Super cute!

Inky Paws Challenge #209 Reminder

Have you had a chance to make a card for our latest Inky Paws Challenge? 

Here's a refresher.



Use the challenge colors- Rusty Orange, Honey Yellow, Cornflower Blue, and Caramel Brown-with your NND products. 


Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 


I love books by Amy features All Booked Up, Newton's Book Club, Petite Paw Prints, and Slimeline Frames & Portholes by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #bookcards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Amy Tollner found a great way to make a non-seasonal card using the challenge colors. She makes this mini-slimline card by trimming down the scalloped frame created using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set. She adds little paw prints using the Petite Paw Prints stencil. She then adds the tall stack of books with one tired feline. This set is the All Booked Up stamp and coordinating die set. At last, she die cuts the sentiment from the Newton's Book Club die set. Add a gift card to a book store, and you have the perfect present for your favorite bibliophile!

Crystal Minkler creates a darling peek-a-boo autumn card. She showcases two papers from the Autumn paper pad and uses the Land Borders die set to create the wavy edges. She then uses dies from the Circle Frames die set to create the kraft frame. The fun part is how she adds the mug of chocolaty bliss on the inside of the card! That cute mug is part of the Cup of Cocoa stamp set. What a perfect way to enjoy a cold, chilly autumn day!



Danni Bindel adds a trio of blue baskets from the Fall Harvest stamp and coordinating die set on a slimline card base that uses the Slimline Frames & Windows die set for the trio of windows. Behind her autumn baskets is the yellow polka dotted paper from the Autumn paper pad. Don't those sweet kitties look darling among all those pumpkins?


Debbie Owens uses lots of dies sets to create her autumn card. She uses a combination of dies from the Frames & Flags and the Framework die sets to create her scallop-edged layers. She adds a bit of patterned paper from the Autumn paper pad and adds a bunch of autumn leaves using the Autumn Leaves die set. She adds a stamped sentiment from the Autumn Newton stamp set on a blue banner. A great way to maximize all those die sets!
