Inky Paws Challenge #254 Week 1

Happy July!

We have beachy colors to inspire you this month!

You have until Friday, July 31, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! Bring the beach to your craft room with these bright & beachy colors! Send sunny smiles to a friend or create a cheerful birthday card. Any theme is welcome as long as the challenge colors are used.

Amy Tollner creates a fabulous celebratory card featuring our very happy feline from the Newton Celebrates stamp and coordinating die set. To create her card she uses the Card Layout 4 die with orange sparkly paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment for her layout design. She the used the Confetti stencil with the challenge colors to make the panels. Her last touch was to stamp the sentiment on a banner using the Banner Trio die set. Fabulous way to kick off this month's color challenge!

Claire Lamb's feline is celebrating something big....maybe the 250th birthday of the U.S.A.?! To create her firework backdrop, Claire uses the Fireworks stencil with the the Land Borders die set. And that festive feline is from the Newton's 4th of July stamp and coordinating die set. Claire pulls her sentiment from the Happy 4th stamp set. Hope our beloved Newton is careful with those sparklers!

Danni Bindel uses the new colors to create a sweet scene for her napping fur baby. Using papers from the Summertime paper pad with dies from the Framework die set, Danni designs her layout for the sweet kitty from the Aloha Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She stamps her sentiment on a cloud using the Sky Scene Builder die set. Pleasant dreams, Newton!

It looks like Debbie Owens is gearing up for happy hour! Deb uses the Basic Frames and the Frames & Tags die sets to create her two panels. She swipes some ink in the challenge colors across the top panel and then places a trio of cocktails from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. She uses the tiny banner die from the A7 Frames & Banner die set for her sentiment. Is it 5 o'clock yet?!

She then places a sipping feline from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp and coordinating die set a top her heart. She uses the Basic Frames die set to create the ticket for her sentiment. Looks like happy meowr has already started here!

Danni Bindel's bright yellow card is just too cute. She is featuring the thirsty feline from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp and coordinating die set. She designs her card using the A2 Card Layout 2 die with the briliant yellow paper from the Bright Basics paper pad. So bright and cheerful!

Debbie Owens's card features the perfect shoes to wear on a nice, sunny day. Those fun sandals are from the Flip-Flop Life stamp set. Amy also used the Summer Moments stamp and coordinating die set for those little shells and sentiment as well as the Retro Sun & Palms stencil for the seagulls. The scalloped edging was made using a die from the Frames & Flags die set for her panel. A wonderful beach scene!

Such a fresh pretty card!
