She uses the Frames & Flags die set for her different layers and adds the snowy paper from the Snow Flurries paper pad. Such a gorgeous holiday card!

Danni loves how Jennifer K. used the image from the Christmas Nap stamp set with the gold glitter paper making for a beautiful CAS card! This serene scene is just precious!

Tracie C. creates a gorgeous sparkly and snowy background that Debbie just loves!  Tracie uses the Oval Frames die set for her many layers and showcases the vintage truck from the Holiday Haul stamp and coordinating die  set. So much sparkle!

Kelly's FAVE

Kelly loves the bright and festive papers that Meghan uses from the Christmas Party paper pad on this delightful card. Meghan showcases the little feline from the retired Newton's Candy Cane stamp set. Such a playful holiday card!

Amy's FAVE

Amy loves how Maria Giselle uses reversed sequins for her feline's stocking!  Seriously how clever is this!  This fun little critter is from the Newton's Stocking stamp set. Fabulous way to add sparkle and shine to a holiday card!

Claire's FAVE

Mindy F.'s cleanly designed card caught Claire's eye. She uses the retired Main Street Christmas stamp set on a beautiful pastel background. She frames it with a glitter lavender paper that adds so much sparkle.  Such a wonderful holiday card!

Inky Paws Challenge #247 Week 1

 

It's December!

Time to get bring on the 

Holiday Sparkle & Shine!

You have THREE weeks to get creative adding sparkle & shine to your holiday projects!

You have from Monday, December 1, 2025 to Friday, December 19, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

December is the perfect time to add some bling to your crafts so bring out your glitters, foils, sequins and sparkle pastes to create a card with some shimmer and shine! Create a winter or holiday card with sparkly snowflakes or jump ahead and send a little New Year's cheer! A little bit of sparkle makes everyone happy! Let's see what bling the IPC team used!

Danni Bindel creates a very scenic room filled with holiday magic! She uses gold foil with the present sheet from the 'Tis the Season Toner Card Fronts. She die cuts using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. She then adds an oval frame (Oval Frames die set) with the little living room scene from the Christmas Nap stamp and coordinating die set. She adds her sentiment to a banner. Just love that orange, comfy chair!

Debbie Owens creates a wintry CAS card using one of the little snowmen from the Snowman Postage Sampler stamp set. She places him on a layered snowflake created using the Snowfall die set. She adds another snowflake using the same die set. She selects a snowy paper from the Snow Flurries paper pad. Her last touch is die cutting the sentiment from the A Hug in a Mug die in a red foil.  A darling way to add a bit of shine and sparkle!

 Kelly Santi's bright purple and pink paper from the Snow Flurries paper pad makes for a gorgeous backdrop for her snowman from the Snowman Greetings stamp and coordinating die set.  Kelly uses the Forest Scene Builder die set to add a trio of trees in the background.  A breathtaking scene!

Amy Tollner uses the trio of kitties from the Newton's Christmas Tree stamp and coordinating die set for the star attraction of her holiday card. She uses the Card Layout 4 die for her card design with the green glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment and the strings of light paper from the Christmas Party paper pad. She stamps her sentiment on a little tag created using the Frames & Tags die set. A magical scene to celebrate the season!

Claire Lamb is back with her incredible distressing skills. She then adds lot of snowflakes using the Snowfall die set with some blue glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. For her sentiment, she uses the Snowman Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set.  A gorgeous way to wish for snow!

Don't forget you have until December 19, 2025 to add some glitter and shine to your holiday projects!

Inky Paws Challege #245--Color Challenge

 

It's October and We have a new challenge! 

You have four weeks to get creative with your NND products using these festive colors!

Holiday Red, Pop of Pink, Evergreen,

and Arctic Blue

You have from Monday, October 6, 2025 to Friday, October 31, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This month's colors may have you thinking Christmas, but don't limit yourself.  These colors work amazingly with birthdays, thank-yous, and even spring cards!  Let's see how the IPC design team came up with:

Danni Bindel combines paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad with the Framework die set to create lots of holiday layers!  The star of her card is the sweet feline from the Newton's Gift stamp and coordinating die set popping out of a pink gift box! Super cute!

Debbie Owens takes a detour from the upcoming holidays and uses the colors for a splash of spring delight! Her vintage truck is from the Spring Haul stamp set which she frames using the Filigree Oval Frame die set. A super fun card if you aren't quite ready for Christmas card production!

Amy Tollner colors a plethora of holiday mugs from the Cup of Cocoa stamp and coordinating die set. For an added festive touch, she uses paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad, and she uses the Postage Stamp Layout die to frame her mugs of cocoa yumminess!

Claire Lamb lightly distresses her card to create a holiday ambience for her card! This scene features some tired critters from the Christmas Nap stamp and coordinating die set. Claire adds an extra package from the Holiday Postage Sampler stamp and coordinating die set. Hope those sweet fur babies are having visions of sugar plums!

Amy Tsuruta uses the sketch for a festive Christmas card with a twist of coffee!  This card features the Time for Coffee stamp and die set for the little latte.  She showcases the heart from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set with the scallop-edge die from the Heart Frames die set. All those coordinating papers are from the Christmas Time paper pad. She used the Frames & Flags die set to create the stitched edging and the banner which includes the sentiment from the Christmas Roundabout stamp set.

Jennifer K. also uses the challenge sketch with a coffee mug twist. She uses papers from the Canine Christmas paper pad.  She showcases the little puppy from the Puppy Present stamp set on a little tag.  Darling card!

Becca Yahrling creates this darling winter scene featuring the Festive Fawns stamp set. She adds fabulous papers along with an embossed background. She adds a sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set. Such amazing colors!

Rick Adkins designs this stunning autumn card. He uses the Newton's Harvest Time stamp and die set to create not only the focal point, but also for the stamped background.  For even more fun, he created a row of autumn trees using the Tree Line stencil.  Spectacular!

Debbie's FAVE

Melfving76 creates this amazing card featuring the Holiday Heights stamp set and the Santa Paws Newton stamp set. Her unique take on the sketch is fabulous. She adds a sentiment from the Christmas Nap stamp set and a sentiment from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. Super creative!

Amy's FAVE

Jennifer K. creates a card filled with coffee and cats!  She selects papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. She adds some mugs of coffee from the Love Cafe stamp set.  She adds a perfect sentiment from the Hummingbird stamp set.  For even more fun, she adds a kitty from the Warm & Cozy Wishes (Simon Says Stamp Collaboration 2022) stamp set.  So cute!

Use your NND products with the theme-Holiday!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales showcases these sweet puppies from the Christmas Puppies stamp set and die set on her duo of tags.  She pulls festive papers from the Christmas Time paper pad as well as the banner die from the Slimline Frames & Window die set. These sweet tags will definitely adorn packages quite nicely.

Amy Tollner creates a lovely living room scene just perfect for these tired fur balls.  She creates a subtle "wallpaper" using the Serene Stripes stencil die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set.  Asleep on her pretty blue chair are the fur balls from the Christmas Nap stamp and die set. Her glittery sentiment is also from the Christmas Nap die set.  

Claire Lamb uses light distressing of pink for her living room walls.  She, too, is showcasing the Christmas Nap stamp and die set.  Aren't her fur babies just adorable atop the blue, plush chair? Claire pulls the sentiment from the Winter Birds stamp set.  Definitely a warm, cozy scene!

Debbie Owens creates a window-like shaker card looking outside at the festive critters from the  Caroling Newton stamp set singing to their hearts' content.  She uses dies from the Frames & Flags die set to create the window frame. For her background, she uses the Evergreens stencil with blue deco foil.  Other products used include the speech bubble from the Speech Bubbles die set and the Land Borders die set for the snowy ground.  Doesn't the white glitter make for the perfect fluffy snow?

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Claire Lamb creates this spectacular card using only dies!  Wow!  She creates a stitched card base using the Frames & Flags die set and lightly adds some splatters for texture.  She then creates a beautiful floral arrangement by layering flower die cuts from the Flower Trio die set for her poinsettia. She adds foliage using the Pines & Holly die set.  She uses the word dies from the Christmas Nap die set in glittery gold paper for her sentiment.  Spectacularly done!

Debbie Owens' plaid background (Plaid Stencil) gives her card a warm, autumn feel.  She adds a blue vintage truck (Harvest Haul stamp set) filled with a bushel of dark red apples and a pile of coral-colored pumpkins. To complete her card, she uses the Circle Frames die set for the Kraft circle, Frames & Flags die set for the card base, and a sentiment pulled from the Fall Fringe stamp set.  A beautiful card with a warm, flannel feel!

Diane Morales cuts strips of paper in the challenge colors for a fabulous striped background.  Look closely and you'll see subtle snowflakes floating down.  She then adds the Snowflake Oval stamp set atop a scalloped frame (Oval Frames die set).  The darling snowman and puppy image comes from the newly released Holiday Heights stamp and coordinating die set. Don't you love how the snowman's scarf mimics the stripes of the background?  A red wine banner with the embossed sentiment completes this playful card!

Amy Tollner adds a pair of Dachshund puppies from the Holiday Hounds stamp and coordinating die set on her long slimline card featuring dies from the Slimline Frames and Portholes die set.  Using the Slimline Masking Circles and Squares stencil set, Amy distresses a light blue sky complete with tiny snowflakes using the Petite Snow stencil.  Such a sweet, serene scene!
