Inky Paws Challenge #247--Final Week of 2025

 

December Challenge

We are counting down the final days of the 2025 IPC Challenge!

You have until December 19 to get creative adding sparkle & shine to your holiday projects!

You have until Friday, December 19, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

It's hard to believe that we are in our final days of the 2025 Inky Paws Challenge year! It's been so fun providing inspiration each month showcasing ways to use your Newton's Nook Designs projects. For our final 2025 challenge, the IPC team has created some amazing holiday cards as well as several snow-filled ones! Let's check them out:

Kelly Santi snowy card is so cute with the spinner element. She showcases two snowy papers from the Snow Flurries paper pad and uses the Basic Frames die set to create her stitched layers. She then uses the darling kitty from the Snow Angel Newton stamp and coordinating die set and adds a spinner to make the kitty look like he's making snow angels!  Such a fun idea!

Amy's holiday card features Santa Paws Newton, Christmas Party, Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment, and A2 Card Layout 2 by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #nndstamps, #nndpaper, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #catcards, #holidaycards, #Christmascards
Amy Tollner is using a holiday classic stamp set, Santa Paws Newton stamp and coordinating die set, for her fun card. She creates her card design using the A2 Card Layout 2 die with the green paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment. She then uses the holly paper from the Christmas Party paper pad to add lots of holiday ambience!  Love the little touches of blue to accent this darling card!

Claire's snowy card features Let It Snow, Snowfall, and Pines & Holly by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #nndstamps, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #wintercard, #snowycards
Claire Lamb creates this stunning card using only dies! She creates her snowflakes using the newly released Snowfall die set. For her greenery, she uses the Pines & Holly die set. The sentiment is cut using the Let It Snow die. Claire's addition of white splatters and sparkly dots on the snowflakes adds lot of texture!  Wonderfully done!

Danni's holiday card features Heartfelt Holidays, Heart Frames, Banner Trio, Frames & Tags, and Christmas Time by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #nndstamps, #nndpaper, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #holidaycards, #Christmascards
Danni Bindel creates this elegant holiday card using the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set (Heart Frames die set) with coordinating paper from the Christmas Time paper pad. She creates her scallop border using the Frames & Tags die set. She places her sentiment on a banner using the Banner Trio die set. Love all the holiday foliage!

Debbie's winter card features Falling Snow Toner Card Front, Cheerful Bliss Glitter, Snow Flurries, Let It Snow, Bookmark, Frames & Flags, Holiday Postage Sampler, and Snowfall by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #nndstamps, #nndpaper, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #wintercard, #snowycards
Debbie Owens' card is filled with sparkle and shine! She pulls the lavender glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment and adds a layer using the snowy paper from the Snow Flurries paper pad. She then uses the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. She creates a tag using the Bookmark die set on which she adds the silver snowflakes from the Falling Snow Toner Card Front and Snowfall die set. The sentiment is from the Let It Snow die. Her final touch is the addition of the snow globe from the Holiday Postage Sampler stamp set. Just love the snow globe on a snowy card!

Amy just couldn't resist Meghan K.'s card with two of her favorites--books and a dog! Meghan's card is just so cute with the puppy from the All Booked Up stamp set. Amy also used the Framework die set to create her edging. Look closely at the spines of her larger books! So clever!

Claire really liked how Holly Gerdes used the red gingham paper from the Farmyard paper pad with the bells from the Bells & Holly stamp and coordinating die set. The combination is very creative and makes for a wonderful holiday card!

Danni Bindel showcases the Newton's Stocking stamp and coordinating die set. She does some paper piecing of the stocking to coordinate with the plaid paper in the background.  All those spectacular papers come from the Christmas Time paper pad. She die cuts her holiday sentiment in black using the Holiday Greetings die set. She uses the Framework die set to make all those fancy-edged layers. Darling!


Season's Greetings by Debbie features Framework, Hardwood, Holiday Foilage, Holiday Greetings, and Fireside Friends by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcard, #dogcard, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking
Debbie Owens showcases the sweet trio of napping critters from the Fireside Friends stamp set. Those cuddling critters are placed in front of a gold holiday foliage panel (Holiday Foliage Hot Foil Plate). For her background, Deb uses the Hardwood stencil (retiring) on black and cut using the postage-edged frame die (Framework die set). Her golden sentiment uses the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil Plate. What a cozy scene!


Amy Tollner uses a trio of mice from the Naughty or Mice stamp and coordinating die set for her festive holiday slimline card. Her trio of panels uses plaid paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad.  To make her layers she uses dies from the Slimeline Frames & Portholes and the Slimline Frames & Windows die set.  The glittery green paper looks fabulous!


Joyful Tidings by Claire features
Claire Lamb designs her own background using the sentiments from the Scandi Christmas stamp set.  Doesn't it look fabulous?  She then uses the Pines & Holly die set to create a gorgeous wreath.  For her sentiment, she uses the little banner die from the A7 Frames & Banners die set with a sentiment from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set.  A fabulously designed holiday card!


Meowy Catmas by Crystal features Newton's Stocking, Circle Frames, and Meowy Christmas by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #catcards, #holidaycards, #christmascards, #cardchallenge, #cardmaking
Crystal Minkler also uses the Newton's Stocking stamp for her darling holiday card.  She places her stocking on a stitched circle (Circle Frames die set) using the zigzag paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. She embosses the white sentiment on a black panel.  Simply speCATular!

Danni Bindel's card is filled with holiday greenery!  She pulls the holly and pine bough paper from the Christmas Time paper pad and places it on a Kraft scallop-edged panel (Frames & Flags die set). She then colors the image from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set and adds a Kraft heart frame (Heart Frames die set). For her black element, she uses a black card base.  So elegant and festive!

She adds green pine boughs using the Pines & Holly die set. Her gold sentiment was created using the Holiday Greetings Hot Foil plates. Simple, but elegant.

Amy Tollner creates a darling card featuring a duo of puppies!  These sweet puppies are from the Happy Howl-idays stamp and coordinating die set. She places them on a houndstooth background using papers from the Canine Christmas paper pad and cut using the stitched square frame from the Frames Squared die set. A Kraft, scallop-edged panel (Frames & Flags die set) paired with a green ribbon completes this cute card!

Claire Lamb uses the Main Street Christmas stamp and coordinating die set to create this amazing card!  For her red element, she uses the Petite Snow stencil and distresses in red for a wonderful sunrise as Santa flies away.  She adds a touch of green with her holiday tree peeking from the window!  Wonderfully done!

 Diane Morales uses non-traditional colors for her oval-shaped holiday card.  To make her shape, she uses the Oval Frames die set which frames the snowflakes from the Snowflake Oval stamp set. She then adds a pink, yes pink!, Christmas tree with the two mischievous kittens from the Holiday Heights stamp and coordinating die set.  She adds a big teal banner with the sentiment using a die from the Slimline Frames & Window die set.  So cute!

Amy Tollner continues the non-traditional colors for her holiday card.  Her pastel background comes alive with the added snowflakes (Snowfall stencil) and the white wintry trees (Forest Scene Builder die set).  She uses the Land Borders die set for her ground. She, too, uses the Holiday Heights stamp and die set, but Amy chooses the puppy image from this set.  She places her sentiment on a banner (Frames & Flags die set) and uses the Framework die set for the postage-stamp edging.  Her added birds and squirrel (Forest Scene Builder die set) completes her amazing card!

Need more non-traditional holiday colors?  Then you are going to love Claire Lamb's bright rainbow of holiday trees!  Using the Christmas Tree Line stencil, Claire adds rows of trees in bright hues of the rainbow.  She then adds a trio of sentiments from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set. The white embossing on black really pop against the bright colors!  A sprinkling of sequins completes this festive card!



Bright and merry by Debbie features Poinsettia Blooms, Music, and Joyful Tags by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #christmascards, #cardmaking
Debbie Owens breaks the team's non-traditional colors trend!  She goes with the more classic red & green colors using the Poinsettia Blooms stamp set.  (This set is retiring and is only $7.49!  Be sure to grab your set before they are gone!) She adds her poinsettias on a gold foiled musical score using the Music stencil.  She continues the gold with her embossed sentiment on black using the Joyful Tags stamp set. Simply gorgeous!
