Inky Paws Challenge #255 Week 1

We have a great sketch to get your creative juices flowing!

Have fun using the Challenge Sketch!

You have until Friday, August 28, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration:  This sketch features a fun angled layout! Try using this sketch with our Card Layout 7 Die or cut the angles with a scissor or trimmer. Put a different image in each section or keep it simple with patterned papers and sentiments. All themes are welcome as long as the sketch is used.

Kelly Santi creates this adorable pastel card using the Newton's Book Club stamp and coordinating die set with papers from the Birthday Meows paper pack. Her stitched panel uses the Basics Frame die set. Such a delightful card!

Amy Tollner uses the Card Layout 7 die to create the sketch layout. She uses festive papers from the Halloween Party paper pack with the pink glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Cardstock Assortment. Amy adds the fun feline from the Candy Corn Newton stamp and coordinating die set. For her sentiment, she uses a die from the Banner Trio die set.  Scarily cute!

Claire Lamb designs a relaxing summer card featuring paper from the Summertime paper pack with the beach-lovin' lady from the Summer Moments stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Card Layout 7 die for the sketch as well as the Oval Frames die set for her sentiment. Darling!

Danni Bindel creates a birthday card using the Card Layout 7 die with papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad. She adds a trio of puppies from the Dog Silhouettes die set and uses the Happy Birthday die for her sentiment. Such a wonderful combination of products!

Debbie Owens uses the Card Layout 7 die with papers from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She pulls the gluttonous feline from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set and does some cutting and pasting to create the plateful of chocolates. Her sentiment is placed on the Frames & Flags die set. A fun way to use the Thanksgiving stamp set!

Inky Paws Challenge #227

This is a color challenge.

Use the colors Amethyst Purple, Fuchsia Pink, Sky Blue, and Sand Brown.

Danni Bindel uses papers to depict the colors in the challenge. Those celebratory papers are from the Birthday Meows paper pad arranged on a blue card base.  She is featuring some playful kitties from the Newton Loves Boxes stamp and coordinating die set. She places them atop a scalloped heart Heart Frames die set to compliment the scallop-edging on her main panel (Frames & Flags die set). A super fun way to send birthday wishes!

Debbie Owens creates a card filled with yummy chocolate treats. She uses the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her overall design and adds sweet papers from the Love & Chocolate Paper Pad. She adds a teal serving tray to display those delectable treats from the Love & Chocolate stamp set. Scrumptious!

Amy Tollner is also featuring a scrumptious treat--a 6-tier cake from the Newton's Birthday Delights stamp and coordinating die set!  She adds to the festivities by using the Confetti Stencil to distress some confetti in the background.  She uses the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set for added fun! Those sweet kitties are just too cute!

Claire Lamb takes us to a beautiful beach scene!  She creates her spectacular setting using distress inks with the Sea Borders and the Land Borders die sets.  She adds two of the lovely ladies from the Summer Moments stamp and cordinating die set who look like they are enjoying themselves.  The bold challenge colors look amazing!

Newton looks like he is having a fabulous time in Crystal Minkler's birthday card!  Newton from the Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp and coordinating die set is enjoying himself amidst the bubbly backdrop. Those beautiful bubbles were created using the Bokeh Stencil set. A fun, festive way to send birthday wishes!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Claire Lamb creates a card filled with coffee mug happiness! She uses the Coffee Silhouettes die set to create all those coffee cups and mugs. For her sentiment, she creates a Kraft heart using the Heart Frames die set and stamps a sentiment from the Love Cafe stamp set. What a fun card to espresso one's creativity!




Crystal Minkler's card showcases the delightful image from the Newton's Birthday Delights stamp and coordinating die set. Crystal then pulls papers from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She uses the Frames & Flags die set on the brown striped paper. She adds the pink and teal heart papers for a super playful card!



Anyone else in need of some spring flowers? Danni Bindel's card is blooming with some pink and teal ones! She uses the Newton's Blooms stamp and coordinating die set to create her central element. She frames her sweet feline with papers from the Love & Chocolate paper pad and die cut using the Framework die set. So fresh and beautiful!

Debbie Owens features a litttle piglet from the Oink stamp set. This little fellow is enjoying some Java Joe for his birthday treat! Those little mugs were fussy cut from the Heartfelt Coffee stamp set. Using the Frames Squared die set, Deb makes a square card base. She adds the pink confetti paper from the Birthday Meows paper pad. A few teal confetti and birthday hat (Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set) add to the birthday theme!

Amy Tollner was also inspired to make a square card using the Frames Squared die set. She goes with a puppy theme using the Puppy's Reading List stamp and coordinating die set and the Petite Paw Prints stencil. Anyone else want to partner read with this sweet-little canine?

Debbie Owens uses the Palm Tree Line stencil set to create a fun tropical scene complete with pink and red striped tree trunks!  She continues with the pink and red stripes by pulling strips of paper from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She adds a pop of blue beneath the sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set using dies from the Circle Frames die set. A fun, creative way to use the challenge colors. 

Amy Tollner's card is definitely fla-mazing!  Surrounded by those big tropical leaves created using the Tropical Leaves stencil, those cute, pink birds are from the Flamingo Oval stamp set, and they are looking marvelous. To create her many layers, Amy uses the Oval Frames and the Frames & Flags die set. Fabulously done!

Like sprinkles? Then you are going to love Claire Lamb's card!  Using the mini images in the Newton's Donut stamp, Claire creates a tasty background of donuts and sprinkles. And guess who is enjoying those treats, our very own Newton from the same set cut using the coordinating die set.  The clean and simple style of Claire's card definitely showcases this stamp set wonderfully!

Crystal Minkler brings a festive holiday card using both polka dotted and plaid papers. Such a fun combination of papers from the Christmas Time paper pad. She showcases a trio of mugs from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set with blue and pink accents. So cute!

Danni Bindel features the beach lovin' duo from the Beach Barks stamp and coordinating die set. They look so cute decked out in their beach gear!  Danni adds "bubbles" using the Bokeh stencil set. She makes a dark red frame using the Framework die set and a sentiment red circle using the  Circle Frames die set. So cool and fun!

Use your NND products with the theme--rainbow!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Amy Tollner uses the napping Newton from the Newton's Naptime stamp set who is enjoying his nap atop a stack of blankets in hues of the rainbow!  For even more rainbow fun, she uses the Meow stencil to create a "wallpaper" for her room that also includes a pretty blue hardwood floor (Hardwood stencil-retiring).  She uses a sentiment as well as the toy mouse and food dish from the Welcome New Cat stamp and die set.  For the postage-edging she uses the main die from the Framework die set. A colorful way to send some love!

Claire Lamb's variegated skeins of yarn in rainbow colors seem to make her little fur balls quite happy!  Those little fur balls are from the Newton Unwinds stamps & coordinating die set. Claire places them on a scallop-edged oval (Oval Frames die set) filled with hearts (Petite Hearts stencil) in rainbow hues. Her purr-fect sentiment is from the Kitten Beach stamp set. A fun, colorful way to send happy greetings!

Crystal O. Minkler pulls a rainbow of papers from the Birthday Party paper pad to create layers of birthday fun.  She adds our high-flying Newton from the Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp set with his lavender balloons.  To create her many layers, Crystal uses dies from the Frames & Flags and the Frames Squared die sets.  A colorful way to celebrate!

Debbie Owens uses the paw print die from the Bookmark die set to create a rainbow of paw prints down her slimline card.  She then adds the little puppy and the poignant sentiment from the Furr-ever Friends stamp set. A beautiful card to send to a loved one who has a fur baby crossing The Rainbow Bridge. 

Diane Morales will satisfy your sweet tooth without all the calories!  She creates an oval card base using the Oval Frames die set and adds a fun background using the Petite Snow stencil.  Atop her card base awaits a rainbow of confectionery goodies (Love & Chocolate stamp and coordinating die set). She uses the newly released Banner Duo die set with her foiling machine to make her darling banner.  She sprinkles her yummy card with a few jewels!  Fantastically done, Diane!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales' pink basket-weave background (Basketweave stencil) with the scallop-edges (Frame & Flags die set) makes for a soft, pretty backdrop for her yellow tulips (Tulip stamp and coordinating die set). The vellum oval (Oval Frame die set) provides a subtle layer. Diane stamps her sentiment on a round-corner rectangle using a die from the A7 Frames & Banners die set. An elegant way to celebrate spring!

Amy Tollner celebrates spring with this darling mini-slimline (Slimline Frames and Portholes die set) card featuring the cutest orange tabby from the Newton's Birdhouse stamp and coordinating die set. Her pastel cloudy sky (Clouds stencil) makes for a perfect setting for all the birds and butterflies (Newton's Birdbath Stamp and die set) to flutter about.  Her green grass was cut using the Land Borders die set with little flowers from the Destination Love stamp and coordinating die set. 

Claire Lamb's mice filled card will have you smiling in a heartbeat!  She uses all four mice from the Garden Mice stamp set. Don't you love how she stacks them?!  She lightly distresses some clouds in the background using the Clouds stencil and creates a pretty carpet of grass for them to romp on!  Eeek!  So cute!

Crystal O. Minkler celebrates spring with this bright, floral card featuring daisies from the Dainty Daisies stamp and coordinating die set. She pulls heart and plaid papers from the Love & Chocolate paper pad that adds a playful touch. She sets everything atop a square card base using dies from the Frames Squared die set. So lovely!

Debbie Owens is back using the Newton's Rain Boots stamp set. Her card this week features a more CAS style. She makes an oval frame (Oval Frame die set) with lavender polka-dotted paper from the Springtime paper pad. She stamps her sentiment (Floral Roundabout stamp set) on a decorative square (Frames Squared die set). A cute, fun way to send thanks to someone!
