Crystal's FAVE

Mary H. is celebrating with these  darling mice from the Birthday Mice stamp set. Her paper selection from the Birthday Party paper pad creates such a bright, playful background for the mice to enjoy that deliciously colored cupcake!

Debbie's FAVE

Kristi created a horizontal card using the sketch which is filled with ocean vibes!  She uses the female feline surfer from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp and  coordinating die set who is sporting a very cute blue bikini!  Kristi coordinates the red striped paper (Love & Meows paper pad) with her red flowers on the surf board!  The red, white, blue color scheme is both "beachy" and patriotic!

Diane's FAVE

Melanie H. brings us another darling beach scene!  For her beach-lovin' feline, she pulls from the Kitten Beach stamp and coordinating die set. She adds a crab who also wants to play with his new furry friend. Her subtle beach and pastel papers add to the "beachy" vibe of her card!

Amy's FAVE

Jennifer K. uses the challenge sketch to take us to a garden where two butterflies from the Monarchs stamp and die set are enjoying the flowers created using the retiring Bold Blooms stencil.  Her pastel palette is gorgeous!

Claire's FAVE

Robin Stanton won over Claire's heart with the kitten atop those pastel books.  This little feline is from the Newton's Book Club stamp set, and he is look good with the paw print background created using the Pawprints stencil.  The pattern papers and pastel color scheme add to the overall cuteness of the card!

Inky Paws Challenge #198

 

   Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This is a sketch challenge.

Use the above sketch with your NND products! 

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, May 26, 2023 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Diane Morales uses the A7 Frames & Banners die set to make this bold and delightful card.  For her the sketch panels, she takes the tulip paper from the Spring Blooms paper pad and carefully cuts the panels and adheres to the green card base.  She then adds the relaxing kitten in his chair from the Kitten Beach stamp and coordinating die set with tuffs of grass (Newton's Blooms stamp and die set).  She pulls her spring sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set. So cute!

Amy Tollner pulls papers from the A Cat's Life paper pad to make a playful backdrop for her yarn-lovin' feline from the Newton Unwinds stamp and coordinating die set. She creates a gray oval using the Oval Frames dies set on which she stamps her sentiment.  Love the playfulness of this card!

Claire Lamb takes a more artistic approach to the sketch by creating clouds stacked high into the sky just perfect for her little friend and his kite. This little puppy is from the Delightful Doxies stamp and coordinating die set. For those layers of clouds, Claire uses the Clouds stencil.  Love this whimsical take on the sketch!

Crystal Minkler uses all three of the little ladies from the Christmas Trimmings stamp and die set for her trio of holiday cards!  She pulls a trio of coordinating papers from the Meowy Christmas Paper Pad to create the bright, festive backgrounds and adds one of the ladies on a green scalloped oval (Oval Frames dies set) on each card.  Bring on the merry indeed!  Be sure to grab the retiring Christmas Trimmings stamp set before they are sold out!

Debbie Owens was inspired to create a summery card filled with watermelon colors! She adds a white scalloped frame (Frames & Flags die set) onto a lime-green card base. Then she creates her panels with papers from the Summertime paper pad. The pink and green stripes work wonderfully with the little watermelon-lovin' feline from the Newton's Melon stamp set.  A scrumptiously refreshing card!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Amy Tollner showcases the little kitten from the Newton's Melon stamp and die set enjoying a juicy slice of watermelon.  She pulls the watermelon paper from the Summertime paper pad and die cuts it using the postage-edge die from the Framework die set. She die cuts a scalloped circle (Circle Frames die set) and lightly distresses in pink and green. For her sentiment, she heat embosses it in white on the black banner (Frames & Flags die set).  A scrumptious way to use the challenge colors!

Claire Lamb moves us away from the sweltering heat of summer with this snowy card featuring a tall stack of presents and some mischievous critters from the Sky High Celebrations stamp and coordinating die set.  She adds rolling hills of snow using the Land Borders die set and adds snowflakes (Holiday Home stamp set) to her green background.  She pulls a sentiment from the Heartfelt Holidays stamp set.  Such a fabulous way to use the challenge colors!

 Debbie Owens showcases a flock of flamingos from the Flamingo Oval stamp set. She adds a gray gingham paper and die cuts her layers using the Oval Frames die set. Her black card base adds a nice dramatic touch to her fun card!

Diane Morales uses the challenge colors to celebrate the arrival of a new kitten!  She creates her card base by die cutting it with the postage-edge die from the Framework die set.  She then adds her sweet kitten and all her needed accessories from the Welcome New Cat stamp and die set.  Don't you just love that little pink mouse?  

Sue T. creates an elegant card using the challenge colors. Set atop an embossed background, Sue adds her beautiful bird from the Hummingbird stamp and die set enjoying some nectar from her pretty pink flowers.  Such a lovely card!

A. Rose features Newton in his rain boots and his sweet ducky friend from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp and die set. The green boots look spectacular with her polka dotted background.  The pop of orange and the black strip with white embossing are wonderful accents to this delightful card!

Sue's FAVE

Karen Guettler showcases a great white shark from the Shark Bites stamp and die set. This ferocious friend looks fantastic with the wavy pattern paper, and the glossy water bubbles.  A fun, fabulous way to celebrate one's birthday!

Amy's FAVE

Tracie C.'s pink daisies will take your breath away!  These fabulous flowers are from the Dainty Daisies stamp set. Tracie then selects pastel pattern papers that coordinate wonderfully with her bouquet. The glossy hearts are such a sweet addition!

Claire's FAVE

Ready for a taste of summer?  Then you will fall in love with Julie Schueller's watermelon card!  She showcases Newton with his slice of watermelon from the Newton's Melon stamp set atop a watermelon pattern paper. Then her strip of ants is pure genius!  Yummy!

Debbie's FAVE

Meghan Kennihan's card is all about puppies!  She layers coordinating papers that make for a fun, festive card!  She adds the puppy duo from the Puppy Pals stamp and coordinating die set.  This card is sure to win over a dog-lover's heart!

Debbie's FAVE

Amy T.  creates a delightful summer scene beginning with her white glittery clouds using the Cloudy Sky stencil. She adds layers of grass using the Land Borders die set and dies cuts both using the scallop-edged die from the Frames & Flags die set. The bright sun was die cut with the Sky Scene Builder die set. She then uses the Freshly Squeezed stamp set (retired) to stamp and color the lemonade stand and bunny. Look closely and you'll see Winston holding a lemon wedge.  She sprinkles in some flowers and butterflies.  Very refreshing!

Diane's FAVE

Joyce M.  repeatedly stamps the ice cream cone and cherry from the Summer Scoops stamp set for her fantastic background.  The lavenders and green is a fabulous color combination.  For her sentiment, she embosses in white on a black card stock.  A wonderful way to celebrate the summer season!

Sue's FAVE

A. Rose  designs a watermelon slice card base in red and greens. She adds some black seeds as well as one overly large seed featuring the watermelon-lovin' kitty from the Newton's Melon stamp set.  Seeing Newton eating watermelon while "inside" a watermelon is a creative way to celebrate summer!


Becky's FAVE

Mugdha uses her favorite stamp set--Newton Scoots By to create this fabulous summer scene. She adds a baseball hat to Newton as he zooms by a sparkling blue lake on a trail of grass!  Seriously too cute!

Crystal's FAVE

Claire's bright sunny backdrop makes for a fabulous setting for the lady dog walker and her pack from the Walking Woofs stamp and die set. She adds a scallop-edged frame from the Frames Squared die set to break up the yellow and add texture.  Her coloring is just amazing too!  Darling!
