Debbie Owens creates this darling puppy card. She pairs the speech paper from the A Dog's Life paper pad with the sentiment from the  Puppy Friends stamp set on a black speech bubble (Speech Bubbles die set). She adds the little puppy from the newly released Puppy's Reading List stamp set.  The little cup of coffee (Time for Coffee stamp set) is a fabulous touch!

Amy Tollner creates this lovely pastel holiday card using papers from the Love & Woofs paper pad.  Her present-laden lady from the Christmas Haul stamp and coordinating die set is definitely ready for the season.  For her sentiment, she adds a gray, stitched oval using the Oval Frames die set. 


Happy Holidays by Claire features Holiday Home, Bells & Holly, Frames Squared, and Petite Snow by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #wintercards, #christmascards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge
Claire Lamb's card reflects the joy of a snowy holiday season. Heading home with their sled are the children from the Holiday Home stamp set. Love the path Claire made!  To complete her card, Claire uses the circle die (Frames Squared die set) with a sentiment from the Bells & Holly stamp set and the Petite Snow Stencil for the snow on her card base.  


Cold weather brings friends together by Crystal features Fireside Friends, Frames & Flags, Oval Frames, and Meowy Christmas  by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #holidaycards, #wintercards, #christmascards, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #catcards, #dogcards
Crystal Minkler's cozy setting is full of delightful elements. She pulls papers from the Meowy Christmas paper pad. Just love the teal striped paper for the wall!  She adds the image from the Fireside Friends stamp set. She adds the sentiment on a stitched oval using the Oval Frames die set. For her scallop-eding on the pawprint paper, Crystal pulled a die from the Frames & Flags die set. So cute!


Coffee is always a good idea by Danni features Newton Loves Coffee, Oval Frames, Coffee House Stories, and Frameworks by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #coffeelovers, #coffeecards, #cardmaking, #catards, #cardchallenge
Danni Bindel showcases the cat-feinated kitty from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set and coordinating die set. He is looking so cute on the mug papers from the Coffee House Stories paper pad. She uses the Framework die set for her layers as well as the Oval Frames die set for her sentiment!

Inky Paws Challenge #113 Reminder

Hoping everyone is enjoying the holiday season!  
There's still time to link up a project for the current Inky Paws Challenge!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

Cheers by Diane features Balloon, Newton's New Year, and Frame & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales is ready to bring in the New Year with this festive card. She uses the Balloon Stencil to create her background and adds silver bubbles using the Newton's New Year stamp set.  Guess who is making all those bubbles?  Of course, it's the lovable Newton from the Newton's New Year stamp and die set!  Diane then stamps the 'cheers' sentiment on a mini-banner which was die cut using the Frames & Flags die set. 


Merry Christmas by Sue features Christmas Haul, Sentiments of the Season, Holiday Greetings, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T.  slips in one more festive Christmas card using the challenge colors. She makes several layers using the Frames & Flags die set. Her light blue polka-dotted paper, adds a nice splash of color. She then repeatedly die cuts the 'Merry' sentiment from the Holiday Greetings die in the challenge colors. After vertically aligning the sentiments, she then stamps the 'Christmas' sentiment from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set. For her focal image, she adds the package-laden lady from the  Christmas Haul stamp and die set. She adds dimensional tape to make her pop off the card!


Cheers by Bobbi features Toucan Party and Cocktail Mixer by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates a perfect tropical setting for her darling toucans to celebrate! Using the Toucan Party stamp and die set, Bobbi colors the birds in the challenge colors. She also uses the leaf stamp from this set and stamps the edges with it.  With her amazing drawing skills, she hand draws grass and brush to add depth and texture.  Using the Cocktail Mixer stamp and die set, Bobbi has her toucans enjoying a nice drink. She also die cuts the 'Cheers' sentiment for her final touch. 


Life is magical by Debbie features Frames & Flags, Forest Scene Builder, Land Borders, Penguin Pile, and Newton's Toboggan by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Debbie Owens brings out the foil card stock to create her magical scene. Using the Frames & Flags die set, she creates her scalloped blue background. She uses alcohol inks to create a green and silver paper from which she die cuts trees (Forest Scene Builder die set) and hills (Land Borders die set). Again using both die sets, she adds a silver tree and silver ground. For her main attraction, she colors the trio of penguins from the Penguin Pile stamp set and pops them up with dimensional foam tape. The fun sentiment is from the Newton's Toboggan stamp set.

Inky Paws Challenge #113

This biweekly challenge is a:

Color Challenge
Create a project using the colors 
Lime Green, Teal, Blue and Silver.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

Since we are having this challenge over the holiday week we've extended the date to play along and you have THREE WEEKS instead of two! Deadline to enter is Friday, January 3,  at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Merry Christmas by Diane features Newton's Curious Christmas and Snow Globe Scenes by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales splashes Distress Ink colors to create her tag background. She then uses the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp and die set and colors the snowman's scarf and hat in lime green and teal. The little pop of red on the bird provides a nice pop of color.  Using a sentiment from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set, she stamps it in black. Her final touches of sequin snowflakes and twine add some texture and shine!


A little holiday treat by Sue features Holiday Foliage, Winter Memories, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. lets the bold sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set take center stage. For her background, she uses the challenge colors withe the  Holiday Foliage stencil. She adds blue snowflakes using a small stamp from the Winter Memories stamp set. She creates the scallop-edged frame using the Frames and Flags die set. Sue adds some silver dots and twine to finish her elegant card. 


May the peace & joy of the holiday season by Becky features Beautiful Baubles and Sentiments of the Season by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
 Becky Noelle hand draws a branch on which she adds her gorgeous ornaments. Using the Beautiful Baubles stamp and die set, Becky embosses the ornaments in silver. She then paints the ornaments using water color pens. She adds silver thread to "hang" them from the tree. She then stamps the sentiment from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set to finish her card. 


Make the moose out of life by Bobbi features Petite Snow, Evergreen, Speech Bubbles, and Moose Mountains by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski creates two playful tags with snowboarding moose!  Using silvery glitter paste with the Petite Snow stencil, Bobbi adds a background of snowfall. Using the Evergreen stencils, she adds to her background. She colors the moose from the Mouse Mountain stamp and die set in the challenge colors and adds her sentiments using the Speech Bubbles die set. 


Debbie's card features Christmas Haul, Holiday Fringe, Frames & Flags, and Cameo Frame by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Do you have your shopping done!  Well, Debbie Owens lady looks like she does!  Using the package-laden image from the Christmas Haul stamp set, Debbie colors her in the challenge colors and places her on a teal-foil frame using the Cameo Frame die set. She then colors the Holiday Fringe stamp set and cuts it into fourths. Cutting a white, scallop-edged frame using the Frames and Flags die set, she adds the Holiday Fringe pieces to each corner. She adds silver ribbon which mimics ribbon on a package.  She adds the cameo-framed image in the center. of the ribbon!  Fun & festive!

Inky Paws Challenge #109 Reminder

Create a Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas project!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge:

'Tis the season by Becky features Snowfall, Fancy Edges Tag, and Christmas Haul by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates wrapping paper for her "present" card. She uses the Snowfall stencil with red foil and her Minc machine. She adds red ribbon with white stitching on the edges. For the present's tag, she cuts her tag using the Fancy Edges Tag die set. She stamps the sentiment from the Christmas Haul stamp set as well as the present-laden lady. She colors the image in red, greens, and blues and finishes with a big red ribbon bow!  Darling!


Merry Everything by Bobbi features Winter Woofs, Sentiments of the Season, and Gingham by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bobbi Lemanski shows us the magic of gingham with her trio of holiday tags!  She creates her backgrounds using the Gingham Stencil. She uses the big sentiments from the Sentiments of the Season stamp set. She adds the super darling puppy images from the Winter Woofs stamp set. She adds gingham ribbon bows at the top of her tags. Her use of red, white, and black makes for super festive holiday cards! 


Deck the halls from Debbie features Caroling Newton, Framework, Frames & Flags, Ornamental Wishes, and Speech Bubbles by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a darling Christmas card using nontraditional colors. She begins with a black card base and adds an olive green gingham frame using the Framework die set. She then uses the Music stencil and pink deco foil to create a textured layer which she die cuts using a die from the
Frames & Flags die set. She colors the trio of kitties from the Caroling Newton stamp set in olive green, pink, and teal and adheres with dimensional foam.  She then heat embosses the sentiment from the Ornamental Wishes stamp set and die cuts using the Speech Bubbles die set.  Fun colors for a holiday card!


Boo!  Hoo!  by Diane features Cascading Stars, Land Borders, and Fence by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales creates a bright, delightful Halloween card!  She creates her background using the Cascading Stars stencil. She used texture paste and sprinkled Holographic powder on it while it was wet (but didn't use a heat gun).  Love the sparkle!  She then die cut the fence in white using the Fence die set. She added grass using the Land Borders die set.  Those cute critters are from the 
Boo Hoo stamp and die set. Just love those little speech bubbles!


Eek!  by Sue features Newton's Perfect Pumpkin, Pick-a-Pumpkin, and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. creates this dark, mysterious card using lots of black layers! She uses the Framework die to create her postage-stamp edge and scallop-edge layers.  She uses  Pick-a-Pumpkin die set to cut Jack-o-lantern faces multiple times on one of her black layers. She then heat embosses the sentiment in white using the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin stamp set. She adds dimensional tape to adhere to an orange-glittery backdrop.  Spook-tacular!

Inky Paws Challenge #108 Winners

Gail  showcases the ice-skating penguin from the Snow Day stamp set (retired) by placing him on a red & black gingham tag. She stamps the sentiment on a white stitched flag. For her background, she places the black layer between the red card base and the red stripe. She places another white flag on the red stripe to pull her elements together. Her red and white gingham bow is a perfect touch to this classy card!

Amanda creates a spectacular Christmas card packed full of glitter, glitz, and glam! She begins by mixing up some wonderful pattern papers that create a busy setting for her gift-laden lady. She creates a green gingham tag and adds a glittery stripe at the bottom. She adds the lady from the Christmas Haul stamp and die set and colors them in fun colors pulled from the papers. She adheres using dimensional tape. To add more glam, she uses Glossy Accents throughout the card!


Becky's FAVE
Best witches by Amy T. features Witchy Newton, Fancy Edges Tag, and Flying Bats by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy T. designs a spookily cute Halloween card. She distresses a beautiful background in purples and blues. She then uses the Flying Bats stencil with black glitter paste. Using the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create a black tag and adds her sentiment by embossing in white. She stamps and dies the witchy-cat image from the Witchy Newton stamp and die set. She places her tag on top of a purple glitter banner and black stripe. The result is a fantastic card!

Happy pumpkin spice season by Meghan features Pumpkin Latte by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Meghan creates a fabulous coffee-themed card using a color scheme of cream, orange, and brown. Her selection of papers with their different patterns work wonderfully together. She adds the pumpkin laden girl from the Pumpkin Latte stamp and die set which she colors wonderfully with a splash of yellow. She adds a pumpkin and latte to balance her card.

Saddle up and celebrate by Amy T. features Newton Rides West, Fancy Edges Tag, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amy T. creates this amazing western card. She uses the smaller stamps from the Newton Rides West stamp set to make her background. She heat embosses them in gold and lightly distresses the edges for an old, worn look. She creates her tag using Fancy Edges Tag die set, embosses the sentiment in gold. She adds her handsome cowboy from the Newton Rides West stamp and die set. She adds a twine bow to the top. For her stripes she uses the same gold paper for her stripe and a red bandana paper banner using the Frames & Flags die set.

Trick-or-treat by Lori features Boo Crew (retired) by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Lori delights us with this card full of Halloween goodness. Her selection of orange and black Halloween papers are super festive. She distresses her tag in light orange and stamps the mummy bear from the Boo Crew stamp set (retired). She adds an orange and white bow to her tag. Boo-tiful!
