Use the sketch to create your next NND project.

You have until Friday, May 29, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

 A good sketch allows for so many possiblities-papers, stamps, stencils as well as different themes and occasions.  Let's check out what the IPC team created for your viewing pleasure!

Kelly Santi offers this creative take on the sketch showcasing Newton from the Newton's Sand Dollar stamp and coordinating die set. She pulls fun ocean-themed papers from the Seaside paper pad. To create her layers, Kelly uses dies from the Sea Borders and the Circle Frames die set.   Super cute!

Amy Tollner features a pack of puppies on her darling card. Starting with an assortment of papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad, Amy uses dies from the Essential Tags and the Frames & Flags die sets.  Amy adds some glitter to her card by die cutting two puppies using the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment with the Dog Silhouettes die set. She pulls her card together using the glitter sentiment from the Say Woof stamp set. Such a wonderful card for any dog lover!

Claire Lamb creates great coffee theme card showcasing the Thanks A Latte die set. She pairs the sentiment with a trio of papers from the Coffee Shop paper pad. To make her layers, she uses dies from the Bookmark II and the A7 Frames & Banners die set. A wonderful way to send thanks to a loved one!

Danni Bindel uses a classic cat stamp set called Newton's Antics stamp with the coordinating die set. That sweet kitty is looking so cute with all the feline papers from the A Cat's Life paper pad. Danni uses the Frames & Flags die set to create some of her layers!  Love the bright cuteness of this card!

Debbie Owens creates a wonderful ocean card sporting papers from the Seaside and the Black & White Basics paper pads. She uses the Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets to create her many layers. Deb features one of the lovely ladies from the Summer Moments stamp set. A wonderful summer card!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Crystal Minkler is beach bound in her red VW Bug! She showcases this cute card from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set and creates a tropical scene with fun papers from the Summertime paper pad. She uses the A2 Card Layout Die Set to create the frame. So much summer cuteness!

Danni Bindel showcases a very lazy Newton from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp and coordinating die set who is languorously enjoying a summer day on his floatie! Danni uses papers from the Summertime paper pad with dies from the Sea Borders and the Sky Scene Builder die sets to create the sky and layers of waves. She adds postage-edging from the Framework die set. Anyone else want to join Newton on his lazy river adventure?

Debbie Owens showcases the tiny crab from the Tides of Love stamp set who is enjoying a day of collecting seashells. Deb uses the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her layout, and she uses the Seashells Stencil to create those pretty seashells. She pulls a sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set. Such a fun way to showcase this little guy!

Amy Tollner showcases a trio of beach-bound vehicles from the Beach Bound stamp and coordinating die set. She showcases them on palm tree paper from the Summertime paper pad. She uses dies from the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her layout. Which vehicle would you choose to go to the beach?

Claire Lamb showcases Newton's pretty hanging basket filled with summer leaves. Her beautiful distressing compliments Newton and his basket from the Newton's Hanging Basket stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Basic Frames die set to create the stitching on her panel. Hope your hanging baskets looks as good as Claire's!

Here's a refresher.

Use the Challenge Colors--Watermelon Red, Flamingo Pink, Parakeet Green, and Sea foam Blue with your NND products. 

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Debbie Owens uses the challenge colors for a playful summer scene complete with the little puppies from the Beach Barks stamp set. She pairs them with papers from the Summertime paper pad. Using the scallop-edged oval from the Oval Frames die set, she creates a little swimming pool using the blue bubbly paper, again from the Summertime paper pad. She completes the card with a summer sentiment from the Seashell Roundabout stamp set.

Amy Tollner celebrates with some scrumptious summer treats using the Summer Scoops stamp and coordinating die set. She sets those treats on a confetti background using the Confetti stencil. To create the postage-edging, she uses the Framework die set. The sentiment was stamp on a banner using a die from the Frames & Flags die set.

Claire Lamb has created the cutest beach scene filled with furry felines from the Kitten Beach stamps and coordinating die set basking the day away! She creates her scene with a combination of dies from the Land Borders and the Sea Borders die sets. Don't you just love the pink sky?

Crystal Minkler creates a lovely red table on which Newton is enjoying a mug of java Joe! This little caffeinated feline is from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. Crystal creates her rounded-stitched layer using the Frames & Flags die set. The CAS design and the little splash of challenge colors makes for a delightful card!

Danni Bindel uses the challenge colors to create a beautiful floral garden. She creates her squared card base and layers using the Frames Squared die set. Those gorgeous flowers were made using the Floral Fringe stamp set. So pretty!

Inky Paws Challenge #178 Favorites

Our Inky Paws Challenge Inspiration team has chosen a few of their favorite challenge entries from this challenge! If you see your card below, contact us if you'd like to get a "favorite" badge for your blog!

Sue's FAVE

Mary-Anne V. uses one of Sue's favorite stencil sets (Retro Sun & Palm Trees stencil set) in a very unique and amazing way. The beautiful colors in the background paired with the copper embossing makes for a gorgeous summer card.  You can almost feel the heat coming off this beach scene!

Amy's FAVE

Papierelle makes a card that is filled with kitten playfulness!  Combining cats from the Kitten Beach and the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp sets, this is a purr-fect beach scene. Plus look at how she colors her water to make it feel like it is moving!  

Claire's FAVE

Fikreta creates such a tranquil beach scene. Then she pairs the lovable Corgi from the Corgi Beach stamp set and Newton with his surfboard from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set.  These two look so good together!  Wonderfully done, Fikreta!

Debbie's FAVE

Debbie Frank uses a trio of piglets from the Oink stamp set and sets them in a fabulous beach scene.  Squeal! Who knew these pigs would look so darn cute enjoying a day at the beach!  Such a creative idea!  She also adds interest by pulling papers from the Summertime paper pad.  

Diane's FAVE

Helen F. shows amazing creativity with limited summer-themed NND products.  She creates a beach scene in which her lady from the Sips & Stories stamp set can enjoy looking out while sipping a cup of coffee.  She adds amazing details to make this an amazing beach bungalow including a kite from the Delightful Doxies stamp set and flip-flops using the Beach Bum Thongs freebie.  Such a relaxing scene!

Use the colors Crimson Red, Cobalt Blue, Turquoise Blue, and white with your Newton's Nook Designs products.

We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog!

 Debbie Owens starts the celebration with this delightful slimline card created using the Slimline Frames & Windows die set. She uses patriotic papers in each window and places a celebratory kitty in each window using images from the Newton's 4th of July stamp set. She stamps the sentiment on the little banner from the A7 Frames & Banners die set.

Diane Morales takes us under the sea with this a-meow-zing card!  She creates the watery background using the Waves stencil and adds a big white wave using the Sea Borders die set.  In shades of red and shades of blue are the two darling purr-maids from the Purr-Maid Newton stamp and die set. Such a creative use of the challenge colors!

Sue T. brings more 4th of July fireworks with this festive CAS card!  Using the Fireworks stencil, she adds red and blue firework blooms. Zooming past is Newton from the Newton's 4th of July stamp and die set on his very own rocket! She adds the sentiment in a speech bubble using the Speech Bubbles die set.  Ka-boom!

Amy Tollner creatively uses the Newton's Naptime stamp set for her red, white, and blue card!  Newton is snuggled atop a pile of patriotic blankets fast asleep with sparkling stars (Cascading Stars stencil) shining in the background. She uses the Frames & Flags die set to create her sentiment banner.  Fabulous!

Claire Lamb celebrates the 4th of July with lots of shimmer with her amazing card using the A7 Frames & Banners die set. In the windows, she uses black shimmery papers with firework blooms just purr-fect for the patriotic critters from the Newton's 4th of July stamp and die set.  Let the celebrations begin!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Amy Tollner is showcasing papers and dies from the recent mini-release with this sweet card! Layering several papers from the  A Dog's Life paper pad, she die cuts a pink, scalloped heart (Heart Frames die cut) and adds a black Scottie silhouette using the newly released Dog Silhouette die set. A darling way to combine papers and dies!

Claire Lamb also uses papers and dies from the recent mini release. For her puppy card, she uses papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad and creates some scalloped layers using the Sky Borders die set.  She creates a circle (Circle Frames die set) for her sentiment (Welcome New Dog stamp set). She adds a black silhouette of a puppy using a die from the Dog Silhouette die set.  She makes a feline companion card using papers from the A Cat' Life paper pad, a kitty from the Cat Silhouettes die set. Both are so bright and colorful!

 Debbie Owens uses the sketch to make a little happy mail scene. For her scene, she adds some fluffy clouds (Sky Scene Builder die set), inks on some trees using the Tree Line stencil, adds some rolling hills and grass (Land Borders die set), and adds a wood-grain fence (Fence die). She adds the ever cute Newton from the Newton's Happy Mail stamp set peeking out of the mailbox with some happy mail!

Diane Morales is also showcasing the papers from the A Dog's Life paper pad. She showcases the black puppy silhouette (Dog Silhouette die set) on a vellum oval die cut using the Oval Frames die set.  Diane makes a scalloped frame card base using the Frames & Flags die set.  So cute!

Sue T. showcases the Newton's Sweetheart stamp and die set on this romantic card. It is so romantic with the pale pink hearts (Tumbling Hearts stencil).  She uses a speech bubble (Speech Bubbles die set) to add her sentiment. She all pulls sentiments from the Heartfelt Love stamp. So cute!
