Inky Paws Challenge #142 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Kit Tea Cat by Diane features Caffeinated Cats, Newton's Mug, Frames & Flags, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking, #teacards, #watercolorcards, #catcards
Diane Morales heat embosses the full-front image from the Caffeinated Cats stamp set in white and uses a trio of watercolors to create a colorful backdrop.  She uses the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. For her center piece she die cuts a scalloped circle using the Circle Frames die set and adds the darling tea-lovin' kitty from the Newton's Mug stamp and die set. The white embossed sentiment really stands out against the red mug!  Tea-riffic!
 



Being a unicorn by Sue T. features Believe in Unicorns, Sky Borders, and
Sue T. uses her water colors to create layers of clouds from the Sky Borders die in the pattern of a rainbow!  This colorful setting is perfect for her darling unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set to play amid!  Unicorns and rainbows make for a magical combination!




Have a blast by Amy features Cosmic Newton, Slimline Frames & Portholes, and Land Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking, #watercolorcards, #catcards
Amy Tollner's brilliant and bold watercolor background is truly amazing!  She adds glittery stars and specks of gold to turn her sky into the Milky Way.  She adds three images from the Cosmic Newton stamp set and cuts using the coordinating die set. Doesn't Newton look spectacular in his green spaceship while his friend spies on the astronaut floating through space?  By using the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set, Amy is able to capture the full scene grounded by using the Land Borders die set.  




Dig in by Claire features Newton's Picnic by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #watercolorcards, #catcards, #cardmaking
Claire Lamb's splash of bright yellow watercolors is a perfect backdrop for this hungry kitten looking for a snack.  That naughty kitten is from the Newtons' Picnic stamp set and cut using the coordinating die set.  Claire's fabulous coloring and the addition of those little ants makes for a bright, fun card!  Dig in, indeed!




I whale always love you by Debbie features Tides of Love, Paradise Palms, Framework, and Sea Borders by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #watercolorcards, #cardmaking,
 Debbie Owens brings us a tropical delight beginning by using watercolors with the Waves stencil for a watery effect. She then die cuts using the Sea Borders die set to create some waves for the sweet whale from the Tides of Love stamp set.  In the background, she has created a sunset using watercolors with the silhouette of an island and palm trees from the Paradise of Palms stamp set in the background. She uses the small, scallop-edged die from the Framework die set from Kraft card stock to frame her scene.  A sweet way to send some love!

Betty Tollner's sweet Valentine's card in pinks and browns looks delicious!  Betty uses the large image from the Heartfelt Love stamp set and colors them in pastel shades with a layer of Glossy Accents for added shine!  This image is stamped on the scallop-edged heart from the Heart Frames die set.  The extra sparkly hearts add a nice touch of pizzazz!

Beverly creates a St. Patrick's Day using the Inky Paws sketch that is sure to bring good luck to the recipient!  The shamrock in the heart coordinates wonderfully with Newton in his leprechaun hat!  This image is from the Newton's Pot of Gold stamp set. The stamped shamrocks on the green stripe add a fun touch!  A great way to stretch the sketch!




Diane's FAVE
I believe in unicorns by Anila features Believe in Unicorns by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #magicalcards, #cardmaking, #unicorns
Anila creates a magical card with her heart of clouds and rainbow!  The background stripe of stars works wonderfully with the unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set. The added stars in her rainbow adds a nice sparkly touch to this darling card!




Sue's FAVE
New York is always a good idea by Joyce M. features Newton Dreams of New York City by Newton's Nook Designs; #newyork, #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking
Joyce M. is dreaming of New York City with her fabulous CAS card!.  She uses images from the Newton Dreams of New York stamp set. She die cuts a heart on the front of her card and stamps the Newton statue of Liberty on the inside.  She adds the skyscraper and taxi cab die cut using the coordinating die set. She uses the sentiment for her horizontal stripe.  Hopefully Joyce will be able to visit NYC soon!

Purr-tea by Mary features Newton's Mug and Heart Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #catcards, #inkypaws, #teacards
Mary Reiner's combination of pink and black make for a remarkable card.  She uses the Heart Frames die set to create a black and a pink heart. She then paper pieces the mug from the Newton's Mug stamp and die set in pink and white striped paper.  Her speckled kitty peeking from the mug looks darling!  Her final touch is black and white gingham ribbon with a bit of pink twine! Purr-tea, indeed! 



Claire's FAVE
Happy Purr-thday by Deepti features Newton's Birthday Balloons by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook, #inkypaws, #cardmaking, #catcards, #birthdaycards
Deepti uses soft pastels for her fun birthday card! She has Newton from the Newton's Birthday Balloons stamp and die set floating past a white heart with a softly stamped paw print on it.  The background distressed images are full of kitty fun.  The added pop of black makes her card really stand out!

Time to bring in a New Year or maybe a birthday!  Becky Noelle creates this spectacular card by using a combination of stencil sets. For her black background, she uses the Confetti stencil with a glossy paste. She then embosses on vellum using the Bubbly stencil. Love how those bubbles look like champagne popping from the bottle that Newton from the Newton's New Year stamp is holding. 



I'd spend all nine lives with you by Crystal features Newton's Sweetheart and Framework by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Ready for some romance?  Then Crystal Komera's red & white card will fit the bill!  She creates a shaker card filled with red and tan hearts. She frames it with a red, scalloped frame using the Framework die set.  She adds the purr-fect feline couple from the Newton's Sweetheart stamp and die set. Don't you just love those little golden brown stripes?  She places her shaker element on a red & white plaid backdrop and finishes it off with a bow of twine. {sigh} So romantic!



Furr-ever in our hearts by Debbie features Furr-ever Friends, Sky Borders, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens designs a beautiful condolence card for the loss of a fur baby. Her water colored  rainbow provides a soothing background on which she places the vellum clouds using the Sky Borders die set. She heat embosses the cat from the Furr-ever Friends stamp set in black. Using the Frames & Flags die set, she creates the center panel and adds ribbon, twine, and a splattering of sequins. She balances the card with black and white washi tape. A beautiful card to provide some comfort for those who've lost a pet. 

Hello Sunshine by Diane features Lemon Twist and Plaid stencil by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Is anyone else missing the sun?  If so, you will definitely enjoy Diane Morales' bright, cheerful card!  With its bright yellow card base, Diane adds a lime green plaid background created using one one of the stencils from the Plaid Stencil set.  She adds a white center panel and stamps the 'Hello Sunshine' sentiment from the Lemon Twist stamp set.  She also adds the lemon and lemon slices from the Lemon Twist stamp set and die set.  A perfect card for a gloomy day!


Your sparkle has not gone unnoticed by Sue features Believe in Unicorns, Sky Borders, Frames & Flags, and Frames Squared by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. gives us a beautiful card of whimsy and fantasy. Using dies from the Frames Squared and Frames & Flags die sets, she creates layers of white for her cloud scene.  She fabricates a beautiful rainbow using the Sunscape stencil and layers on the clouds using the Sky Borders die set. She then adds the fantastical unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set.  Don't you just love how the mane and tail mimic the colors of the rainbow background?  Sue adds dimensional tape throughout the card to give the card a "puffy" cloud feel!

Diane Morales creates a fabulous water colored background that is just perfect for the Purr-maids from the Purr-maid Newton stamp and die set to swim around in. Diane uses the Tumbling Hearts stencil to create a subtle background on the coral stripe. For a playful touch, she adds the cute, green seahorse!
Grab life by the horn and ride by Sue features Believe in Unicorns by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Sue T. uses a combination of pattern papers to create a perfect setting for her magical unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set. She adds shimmer to the mane and tail to add a touch of magic!

We make the purr-fect blend by Becky features Newton Loves Coffee, Hardwood, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook

Becky Noelle creates a textured, wood grain background using the Hardwood stencil.  She splatters a bit of white paint to add a fabulous touch.  For her stripe, Becky stamps the coffee mugs from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set and adds dotted stripes for an argyle-like look.  For the main attraction, she adds two cat-feinated images from the  Newton Loves Coffee stamp set for a purr-fect blend!  The sentiment was stamped and die cut using the Frames & Flags die set.


Ready for some color?  Then Bobbi Lemanski's card will satisfy you!  She begins with a confetti dotted card base and flicks on black watercolor for a random speckled pattern.  She adds a black and white striped paper with a strip of red on the side.  She then adds a circle divided into fourths. Each in a bright color.  She then adds her gray kitty with her black stripes from the Sending Hugs stamp and die set.  She uses the latte cup from the set and creates a rainbow cozy!  For her envelope, she adds matching dots using her Copics markers.


Pina koala by Debbie features Sunscape, Serene Stripes, Pina Koala, Frames Squared, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens brings us a sunny card by using the Sunscape stencil die cut using the Frames Squared die set. She then creates a bamboo-like stripe using the Serene Stripes stencils. She stamps the sentiment from the Pina Koala stamp set on the banner die from the Frames & Flags die set. She colors the sweet koala (Pina Koala stamp set) with colored pencils.  A lime-green stripe of washi tape is her final touch.

Without friends by Bobbi features Woof Pack by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
This card is for all those dog lovers out there! Bobbi Lemanski used the Woof Pack stamp set to place on her black tag in which she added white stitching. She added twine for the bow and places this delightful card atop black graphing paper and a lime green base!


Happy Birthday by Debbie features Uplifting Wishes and Balloons by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Debbie Owens creates a CAS birthday card full of balloons using bright colors and the Balloons stencil. She creates two tags in diagonal striped paper and stamps the sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set. She adds pink and white twine and sequins to finish it off.


Friends fur-ever by Diane features Puppy Pals, Framework, Fancy Edges Tag, and Plaid by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Here's another card that will win over a dog lover's heart. This one is by Diane Morales. Diane creates her base by using the edge from the Framework die set. She then creates a wonderful plaid background using the Plaid stencil set and texture paste.   She uses the Fancy Edges Tag die set to create her fun banner and offers a How-To on her blog. For her main attraction she softly colors the puppies from the Puppy Pals stamp set. She adds a pop of red with the two little hearts!


Have an egg-stra special day by Sue features Newton's Easter Basket and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
With Easter just around the corner, Sue T.'s is sure to be a hit. Her pretty card begins with a die cut layer using the Frames & Flags die set. She adds horizontal score marks and adheres this layer on a white base. Her tag features this sweet collection of critters and eggs from the Newton's Easter Basket stamp set in pale pastel colors. She adds touches of sparkle on her Easter eggs.


Your sparkle by Becky features Bokeh and Believe in Unicorns by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Becky Noelle creates this rainbow-colored card using the Bokeh stencil. She inked up the rainbow background and then mixed some glitter in with an embossing paste which she spread over one of the stencils on top of her inked circles. With such a sparkly background, she pairs it with the Believe in Unicorns stamp and die set. She adds a black banner and a vellum tag with the sentiment embossed in white to finish her amazing card!

Zsofia Molnar creates this darling scene with Newton's Sweetheart stamp set.  From the cloudy background to the die cut grass, Zsofia has an eye for details.  Her flower-shaped buttons are the perfect addition to this sweet card!


Congrats by Andrea features Simply Sentimental and Newton's Graduation by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Andrea Shell's embossed letters makes for a wonderful background for this graduation card. Her sweet coloring of Newton from Newton's Graduation stamp set and the embossed Congrats sentiment from the Simply Sentimental stamp set make for a very distinguished card.

Debbie Owens creates a fun night sky using watercolors and the Frames & Flags die set
Newton from the Cosmic Newton stamp set seems pretty content spying those darling star-shaped buttons!


Seas the day by Diane features Tranquil Tides and Bubbly by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Diane Morales takes under the sea with this beautifully designed card. She uses Tranquil Tides stamp and die set to stamp the fish and coral. The added buttons are the perfect accent. Look closely at her background and you'll spy bubbles made from the Bubbly stencil.

I believe in you by Emily features Believe in Unicorns by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Emily Lauritzen brings us this magical rainbow card!  Her background works perfectly with the unicorn from the Believe in Unicorns stamp set. Her handmade buttons are wonderful accents.

Andrea Shell has combined all the best elements of a good party--hats, cupcakes, balloons--with her bright, festive card. With her cute kitten from Newton's Birthday Bash stamp set peeking out between the polka dotted tissue paper, this card is sure to brighten up someone's day!
