Inky Paws Challenge #254 Week 1

Happy July!

We have beachy colors to inspire you this month!

You have until Friday, July 31, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop! Bring the beach to your craft room with these bright & beachy colors! Send sunny smiles to a friend or create a cheerful birthday card. Any theme is welcome as long as the challenge colors are used.

Amy Tollner creates a fabulous celebratory card featuring our very happy feline from the Newton Celebrates stamp and coordinating die set. To create her card she uses the Card Layout 4 die with orange sparkly paper from the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment for her layout design. She the used the Confetti stencil with the challenge colors to make the panels. Her last touch was to stamp the sentiment on a banner using the Banner Trio die set. Fabulous way to kick off this month's color challenge!

Claire Lamb's feline is celebrating something big....maybe the 250th birthday of the U.S.A.?! To create her firework backdrop, Claire uses the Fireworks stencil with the the Land Borders die set. And that festive feline is from the Newton's 4th of July stamp and coordinating die set. Claire pulls her sentiment from the Happy 4th stamp set. Hope our beloved Newton is careful with those sparklers!

Danni's summer-themed card features Aloha Newton, Framework, Sky Scene Builder, and Summertime by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmakingideas, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #sketchchallenge, #nndstamps, #nndpapers,#catcards, #summercards, #tropicalcards

Danni Bindel uses the new colors to create a sweet scene for her napping fur baby. Using papers from the Summertime paper pad with dies from the Framework die set, Danni designs her layout for the sweet kitty from the Aloha Newton stamp and coordinating die set. She stamps her sentiment on a cloud using the Sky Scene Builder die set. Pleasant dreams, Newton!

It looks like Debbie Owens is gearing up for happy hour! Deb uses the Basic Frames and the Frames & Tags die sets to create her two panels. She swipes some ink in the challenge colors across the top panel and then places a trio of cocktails from the Cocktail Mixer stamp set. She uses the tiny banner die from the A7 Frames & Banner die set for her sentiment. Is it 5 o'clock yet?!

Kelly Santi rounds up this week's inspiration with this delightful summer card. She selects this fun sky paper from the Summertime paper pad and die cuts it using the Heart Frames die set. She then places a sipping feline from the Newton's Happy Meowr stamp and coordinating die set a top her heart. She uses the Basic Frames die set to create the ticket for her sentiment. Looks like happy meowr has already started here!

Debbie Owens creates a fun birthday card using the Confetti stencil with papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. She colors all those packages from the Sky High Celebrations stamp set in the colors of the challenge. At last, she adds the birthday sentiment from the Dog Birthday Party stamp set. A super cute way to celebrate one's special day!

Claire Lamb creates this amazing card using no stamps! Using her amazing distressing skills, she inks the trees from the Evergreens Frame die and places them on a stunning pink and red backdrop. For her sentiment, she adds the hello from the Filigree Oval Frame die set. Such a beautiful card!

Danni's coffee card features Mugs, Frames & Flags, A Hug in a Mug, and Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #cardchallenge, #coffeelovers, #coffeecards

Danni Bindel was also inspired to make a card using no stamps. For her card, Danni uses the Mugs stencil to create a background of coffee cups in the challenge colors She then adds the scallop edging using a die from the Frames & Flags die set. She creates a stitched circle using the Circle Frames die set to place her large sentiment from the A Hug in a Mug die. Fabulous way to send some coffee fun!

Inky Paws Challenge #203 Reminder

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge!

Debbie Owens uses the challenge colors for a playful summer scene complete with the little puppies from the Beach Barks stamp set. She pairs them with papers from the Summertime paper pad. Using the scallop-edged oval from the Oval Frames die set, she creates a little swimming pool using the blue bubbly paper, again from the Summertime paper pad. She completes the card with a summer sentiment from the Seashell Roundabout stamp set.

Amy Tollner celebrates with some scrumptious summer treats using the Summer Scoops stamp and coordinating die set. She sets those treats on a confetti background using the Confetti stencil. To create the postage-edging, she uses the Framework die set. The sentiment was stamp on a banner using a die from the Frames & Flags die set.

Claire Lamb has created the cutest beach scene filled with furry felines from the Kitten Beach stamps and coordinating die set basking the day away! She creates her scene with a combination of dies from the Land Borders and the Sea Borders die sets. Don't you just love the pink sky?

Crystal Minkler creates a lovely red table on which Newton is enjoying a mug of java Joe! This little caffeinated feline is from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. Crystal creates her rounded-stitched layer using the Frames & Flags die set. The CAS design and the little splash of challenge colors makes for a delightful card!

Danni Bindel uses the challenge colors to create a beautiful floral garden. She creates her squared card base and layers using the Frames Squared die set. Those gorgeous flowers were made using the Floral Fringe stamp set. So pretty!
