Inky Paws Challenge #239 Week 1

 

 Welcome to Inky Paws'  

April Challenge!

We have the prettiest colors 

for April to inspire you!

You have four weeks to get creative with the colors-Dusty Violet, Spring Green, Sunshine Yellow, and Cocoa Brown!

You have from Monday, April 7, 2025 to Friday, May 2, 2025 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

This beautiful color combo is perfect for spring cards and more! Create a garden scene, try adding the colors to a birthday card or mix in a pet with brown fur! Let's check out what our Design Team created!

Debbie Owens pulls a variety of papers from Autumn Basics, Christmas Basics, and Pastel Basics paper pads. All the stripes and dots make for a darling backdrop for the sweet felines from the Newton's Birthday Trio stamp set. Such a fun way to use the challenge colors!

Amy Tollner is showcasing this darling feathered friend from the Hummingbird stamp and coordinating die set. She creates the bright, yellow flowers using the Petite Flowers stencil. She frames everything using the dies from the Frames & Tags set. A beautiful spring card!

Claire Lamb uses this duo from the retiring Beach Barks stamp and coordinating die set. She places her pups on a sandy beach using dies from the Land Borders and the Basic Frames sets. These fellows are enjoying the sun created using the Sunscape stencil. Oh, can't wait for summer!

Crystal Minkler celebrates the Easter season using these adorable critters from the 

Spring Pile Up stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Fractured Card Layout die set for her card layout with spring papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad. Cuteness overload!

Danni Bindel was also inspired to create a birthday card. She chooses the Birthday Barks stamp and coordinating die set. She places her trio of canines on papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad in the panels from the A2 Card Layout 2 Die. A super fun way to celebrate a special day!

Crystal Minkler captures the delight of summer butterflies! She uses a combination of papers from the Summertime paper pad that has postage-edging created by using the Framework die set. Enjoying a beautiful butterfly is the sweet mouse from the Garden Mice stamp and coordinating die set atop a scallop circle (Circle Frames die set). Such a delightful summer scene!

Danni Bindel showcases one of the lovely lady from the Summer Moments stamp and coordinating die set. She lounges amongst beautiful summery papers from the Summertime paper pad. Danni features these papers using the Frames & Tags die set. A wonderful way to enjoy a day at the beach!

Debbie Owens also features a lovely lady from the Summer Moments stamp set. This lady is walking in ocean waves mad using the Waves Stencil which was die cut using the Basic Frames die set.  Also featured is a jar filled with beautiful seashells using the Seashell Roundabout stamp set as well as the Jar Hot Foil Plate & Die. She adds her sentiment on a benner created using the Banner Duo die set. A creative combination of NND products! Check out Deb's blog to see several color vatiations of this cartd. 

Amy Tollner creates a background filled with pastel seashells using the Seashells stencil. She adds a blue frame using the A2 Card Layout die set.  Enjoying their day at the beach are two playful puppies from the Beach Barks stamp and coordinating die set. A fun, playful beach card!

Claire Lamb illustrates the power of using one little stamp set.  Those little flip-flops are from the mini-stamp set, Flip-Flop Life.  Claire's amazing distressing skills creates the shoreline including foam at the water edge.  She then adds lots of flip-flops in a rainbow of colors.  A darling and fun card!

Inky Paws Challenge #222 Favorites

Our Inky Paws Challenge Inspiration team has chosen a few of their favorite challenge entries from this challenge! If you see your card below, contact us if you'd like to get a "favorite" badge for your blog!

Danni's FAVE

Meghan K. pulls some fun farm-themed papers that make for a fun background for her trio of Holstein cows!  Those sweet cows are from the Moo stamp and coordinating die set. Meghan also uses the Framework die set to make her panels.  A darling way to showcase cows!

Debbie's FAVE

Inkami uses a retired stamp set, Chicken Scratches, to create this absolutely darling scene using the challenge panels wonderfully!  Just love all those little chicken footprints and the added shadows!

Amy's FAVE

Danielle's card may have you jumping into a nearby pool or ocean! She combines papers from the Summertime paper pad. Such a fun summery mix. Then she adds a duo of water-bound puppies from the Beach Barks stamp and coordinating die set. A sprinkling of seashells finishes off her darling scene!

Claire's FAVE

Jenni uses subtle pastel peach to make a pretty background for her sweet mouse from the Garden Mice stamp and coordinating die set. The sweet scene is just the cutest with the added butterfly and the randomly placed flowers!

Crystal's FAVE

Becca uses the Hibiscus die set to create her beautiful floral element. She places on a mixed media backgroun with embossed black panels that make the floral arrangement just pop!  She embosses the sentiment from the Little Lilies stamp set and adds a bit of orange and white twine.  A very eye-catching card!

Claire Lamb's polka-dotted waves look fabulous on her beach-themed card. Those waves were created using paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad and die cut using the Sea Borders Die Set. She continues by using the Land Borders Die Set for her beach and the Palm Tree Line stencil set for those gorgeous trees. The puppy duo from the Beach Barks stamps and coordinating die set are soaking up all that tropical atmosphere!

Crystal Minkler designs this fun-filled Easter card using papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. She uses the Frames & Tags Die Set to create her different layuers. The trio of Easter critters are from the Spring Pile Up stamp and coordinating die set, and they are look darling with the pastel polka-dotted papers!

Danni Bindel's use of bright polka-dotted papers from the Bright Basics paper pad makes for a very bright and cheery card! She uses the newly released Frames & Tags die set to create the different layers. She showcases those yellow boots and kitten from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp and coordinating die set. The punny sentiment is sure to bring a smile to the recipent's face.

Debbie Owens opts for a slimline card using dies from the Slimline Frames & Portholes and the Slimline Frames & Windows die set. She creates her cloudy sky using dies from the Sky Builder die set. She adds the floating feline from the Newton's Umbrella stamp set as well as the grounded puppy from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp set for her star attractions. For her polka dotted elements ,she paper pieces the umbrellas and puddle using the newly released Pastel Basics and the Bright Basics paper pads!

Amy Tollner was also inspired to use an umbrella element in her card. She features the umbrella lady from the Loads of Blooms Stamp and Die Set. She places her lady on a polka dotted layout combining the Pastel Basics paper pad and the newly released A2 Card Layout die set. Her sentiment from the Spring Roundabout stamp set is stamped on a banner using the Banner Trio Die Set.

Have you had a chance to make a card for our latest Inky Paws Challenge? 

Here's a refresher.

Use the Challenge Colors--Watermelon Red, Flamingo Pink, Parakeet Green, and Sea foam Blue with your NND products. 

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Debbie Owens uses the challenge colors for a playful summer scene complete with the little puppies from the Beach Barks stamp set. She pairs them with papers from the Summertime paper pad. Using the scallop-edged oval from the Oval Frames die set, she creates a little swimming pool using the blue bubbly paper, again from the Summertime paper pad. She completes the card with a summer sentiment from the Seashell Roundabout stamp set.

Amy Tollner celebrates with some scrumptious summer treats using the Summer Scoops stamp and coordinating die set. She sets those treats on a confetti background using the Confetti stencil. To create the postage-edging, she uses the Framework die set. The sentiment was stamp on a banner using a die from the Frames & Flags die set.

Claire Lamb has created the cutest beach scene filled with furry felines from the Kitten Beach stamps and coordinating die set basking the day away! She creates her scene with a combination of dies from the Land Borders and the Sea Borders die sets. Don't you just love the pink sky?

Crystal Minkler creates a lovely red table on which Newton is enjoying a mug of java Joe! This little caffeinated feline is from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. Crystal creates her rounded-stitched layer using the Frames & Flags die set. The CAS design and the little splash of challenge colors makes for a delightful card!

Danni Bindel uses the challenge colors to create a beautiful floral garden. She creates her squared card base and layers using the Frames Squared die set. Those gorgeous flowers were made using the Floral Fringe stamp set. So pretty!

Debbie Owens uses the Palm Tree Line stencil set to create a fun tropical scene complete with pink and red striped tree trunks!  She continues with the pink and red stripes by pulling strips of paper from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She adds a pop of blue beneath the sentiment from the Summer Moments stamp set using dies from the Circle Frames die set. A fun, creative way to use the challenge colors. 

Amy Tollner's card is definitely fla-mazing!  Surrounded by those big tropical leaves created using the Tropical Leaves stencil, those cute, pink birds are from the Flamingo Oval stamp set, and they are looking marvelous. To create her many layers, Amy uses the Oval Frames and the Frames & Flags die set. Fabulously done!

Like sprinkles? Then you are going to love Claire Lamb's card!  Using the mini images in the Newton's Donut stamp, Claire creates a tasty background of donuts and sprinkles. And guess who is enjoying those treats, our very own Newton from the same set cut using the coordinating die set.  The clean and simple style of Claire's card definitely showcases this stamp set wonderfully!

Crystal Minkler brings a festive holiday card using both polka dotted and plaid papers. Such a fun combination of papers from the Christmas Time paper pad. She showcases a trio of mugs from the Cup of Cocoa stamp set with blue and pink accents. So cute!

Danni Bindel features the beach lovin' duo from the Beach Barks stamp and coordinating die set. They look so cute decked out in their beach gear!  Danni adds "bubbles" using the Bokeh stencil set. She makes a dark red frame using the Framework die set and a sentiment red circle using the  Circle Frames die set. So cool and fun!
