Inky Paws Challenge #255 Week 1

We have a great sketch to get your creative juices flowing!

Have fun using the Challenge Sketch!

You have until Friday, August 28, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration:  This sketch features a fun angled layout! Try using this sketch with our Card Layout 7 Die or cut the angles with a scissor or trimmer. Put a different image in each section or keep it simple with patterned papers and sentiments. All themes are welcome as long as the sketch is used.

Kelly Santi creates this adorable pastel card using the Newton's Book Club stamp and coordinating die set with papers from the Birthday Meows paper pack. Her stitched panel uses the Basics Frame die set. Such a delightful card!

Amy Tollner uses the Card Layout 7 die to create the sketch layout. She uses festive papers from the Halloween Party paper pack with the pink glitter paper from the Cheerful Brights Cardstock Assortment. Amy adds the fun feline from the Candy Corn Newton stamp and coordinating die set. For her sentiment, she uses a die from the Banner Trio die set.  Scarily cute!

Claire Lamb designs a relaxing summer card featuring paper from the Summertime paper pack with the beach-lovin' lady from the Summer Moments stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the Card Layout 7 die for the sketch as well as the Oval Frames die set for her sentiment. Darling!

Danni Bindel creates a birthday card using the Card Layout 7 die with papers from the Birthday Woofs paper pad. She adds a trio of puppies from the Dog Silhouettes die set and uses the Happy Birthday die for her sentiment. Such a wonderful combination of products!

Debbie Owens uses the Card Layout 7 die with papers from the Love & Chocolate paper pad. She pulls the gluttonous feline from the Newton's Thanksgiving stamp set and does some cutting and pasting to create the plateful of chocolates. Her sentiment is placed on the Frames & Flags die set. A fun way to use the Thanksgiving stamp set!

Inky Paws Challenge #251 Week 1

 

April bring bright beautiful colors to Inky Paws!

Use the colors Magenta, Turquoise, Purple, and Bright Yellow!

Here's some inspiration.  

Go BOLD with this fun color combo! Reminiscent of an 80's color palette, the bright colors in this challenge work great for birthday cards, thank you cards and more! If you've been eyeing the New Retro paper pack, you are in luck. Each designer has used this paper pack in very unique ways, Let's check them out!

Debbie Owens retro birthday card features Newton's Mix Tape stamp set atop a vellum circle (Circle Frames die set). She creates her card design using the Card Layout 4 die with papers from the New Retro paper pack. The sentiment is from the Party On! stamp set. Totally cute!

Kelly Santi wants to party on with her tubular card! She, too, uses the Newton's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die set a top a circle (Circle Frames die set) with papers from the New Retro paper pack. She creates the large tag using the Basic Frames die set. Her sentiment is from the Party On! stamp set. Party on!

Amy Tollner uses papers from the New Retro paper pack and the Cheerful Brights Glitter Cardstock Assortment with the Card Layout 7 die. She then adds the overly tall stack of books from the Never Enough Books stamp and coordinating die set with a cup of coffee on top!  A gnarly way to use the challenge colors!

Claire Lamb creates a very dramatic card using papers from the New Retro paper pack with the Card Layout 6 and the Corner Flip die sets. She adds a black feline using the Newton's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die set. She embosses her birthday sentiment from the 

Party On! stamp set on a banner using the Banner Trio die set. Totally RAD!

 

Danni Bindel pulls papers from the New Retro paper pack and uses the Card Layout 7 die. She uses the canine from the Puppy's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die set for her star attraction atop a scallop-edged circle (Circle Frames die set). Her paper selection is quite bodacious!

October Challenge!

Here's some inspiration.  

Can you believe we are over half way through October?  Time is definitely flying!  Have you started your Christmas cards yet?  Our challenge colors are perfect to get you motivated to get your stash started!  Already finished those holiday cards?  Then how about using the colors to build your birthday stash? Let's see what the IPC team whipped up!

Amy Tollner features the argyle paper from the Meowy Christmas paper pad and uses the A2 Card Layout die to create her panels. She then adds not 1, not 2, not  3, but 5!, cocktails from the Christmas Cocktails stamp and coordinating die set. What holiday spirit! Cheers!

Claire Lamb creates this classic holiday card featuring the canine duo from the Wreath Pups stamp and coordinating die set. To design her card, she uses the Basic Frames die set with the polka dotted paper from the Christmas Basics paper pad. So much puppy cuteness!

Danni Bindel builds her birthday stash using papers from the Birthday Time paper pad with the Card Layout 4 die. She then uses the Circle Frames die set to create her center panels and adds a birthday sentiment from the Uplifting Wishes stamp set. Happy birthday to you!

Debbie Owens creates a snowy background in Pink using the Snowflake stencil. She then adds the darling tree-trimming felines from the Newton's Christmas Tree stamp set. She then embosses a sentiment from the Snowflake Oval. So much furry cuteness!

Danni's FAVE

Sbarkeloo designs this darling card featuring those darling duckies and kitty from the Newton's Rain Boots stamp and die set. Sharkeloo combines dies from the Basic Frames and the  Frames & Tag die sets to create her different layers. Her polka dots on the rain boots go wonderfully with the polka dotted paper from the Summertime paper pad. So fresh and cute!

Debbie's FAVE

Melanie H.'s fun pattern backdrop is super fun for the puppy from the Rainy Day Doxie stamp and coordinating die set to enjoy as he splashes thought the puddles. Such a cute, playful card!

Amy's FAVE

Melissa's spring red tulips from the Tulips stamp and coordinating die set look beautiful against the butterfly paper from the Springtime paper pad. Melissa uses the Frameworks die set to create the zig-zag edging. The addition of the little butterfly on the tulip petal is a fun touch!

Claire's FAVE

Michelle B.'s blue daisies from the Floral Delights stamp and coordinating die set look striking against the partially checkered backdrop What a fun, spring card!

Crystal's FAVE

Marcia's darling spring card features the cute puppy from the Puppy Friends stamp set. The little splash of pink just adds to the cuteness!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Crystal Minkler uses polka-dotted papers in the challenge colors for this delightful birthday card! Her papers are from the Pastel Basics paper pad and have been cut using the Frames & Tags die set. Her amazingly colored kitty is from the Newton's Birthday Balloons set. So cute!



Danni Bindel was also inspired to use papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad to create her layers. She used the Basic Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets. Enjoying this sweet, country setting is the darling Holstein cow from the Moo stamp and die set!


Debbie Owens creates a CAS floral card showcasing the Dainty Daisies stamp set. She distresses the stitched panel (Basic Frames die set) and adds some Washi tape and twine to finish off this pretty card!



Eek!! Amy Tollner designs this squeakily cute card showcasing a pair of mice from the Birthday Mice Stamp and coordinating die set. She uses the blue polka dotted paper from the Pastel Basics paper pad as well as dies from the Frames and Tags die set. Darling!



Claire Lamb was also inspired to create a CAS card using the Dainty Daisies stamp set. She stamps the daisy image several times on her distressed background. Such a clever way to use this image and add texture!

Crystal Minkler's card shows the craziness of spring weather! She creates her cloudy sky using the Sky Scene Builder and Sky Borders die sets. She pulls paper from the A Cat's Life paper pad to create the sky and grass using Land Borders die set. Enjoying those spring winds is a little kitty from the Newton's Umbrella stamp and coordinating die set. Super cute!

Danni Bindel utilizes the A2 Card Layout die to create the outline on her card. She continues by adding the yellow floral and the green gingham papers from the Spring Blooms paper pad with a cloudy sky in the center. She showcases the playful kitty from the Newton's Flower Garden stamp set and Coordinating die set.  So sweet!

Debbie Owens utilizes papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad to create her background for the adventurous feline from the Newton's Hanging Basket stamp set.  She used the Basic Frames die set for the blue striped banner. The contrast of stripes and polka dots make for a fun, playful card!

Amy Tollner uses the Clouds and the Hills and Grass stencils to create her peaceful background scene which she die cuts using the zigzag frame die from the Frames and Tags die set. Enjoying this serene scene are little blue birds from the Birdhouse Greetings and coordinating die set.

Claire Lamb distresses a soft, pretty background for her playful feline.  She uses the Basic Frames die set to add a unique take on her background, and that little feline "terrorizing" the birds is from the Newton's Birdbath stamp and coordinating die set.
