Amy loves the glittery puppy Sandy Bernstein uses on her darling card. This little fellow is from the Puppy Playtime (retired) stamp and coordinating die set.  Sandy pairs him with papers from the Pastel Basics paper pad. She uses the Card Layout 6 die in conjunction with the Corner Flip die set to create some dimension to her fabulous card!

Melissa Sunshine Honey Bee's hexagonal card caught Claire's eye as well as the popped up sentiment. Melissa uses the Hexagon Frames die set with papers from the Springtime paper pad. She stamps the bee house with a couple of bees from the Beekeeper Newton (retired) stamp set. As for the popped up sentiment, she pulls a die from the Banner Trio die set. Such a darling way to send happiness to a friend!

The darling mix of papers on Mindy Finnegan's card wins over Danni's heart! Those papers are from the Farmyard paper pad. She uses dies for the Frame & Flags die set to create her stitched panels. And the main attraction to her card are this trio of gossiping chickens from the Cluck stamp and coordinating die set. Too cute!


The IPC Design Team will be taking a short summer break. We will be back July 6 with some amazing colors to challenge you!

Inky Paws Challenge #251 Week 1

Use the colors Magenta, Turquoise, Purple, and Bright Yellow!

You have until Friday, May 1, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project.

Go BOLD with this fun color combo! Reminiscent of an 80's color palette, the bright colors in this challenge work great for birthday cards, thank you cards and more! Danni Bindel pulls papers from the New Retro paper pack and uses the Card Layout 7 die. She uses the canine from the Puppy's Mix Tape stamp and coordinating die set for her star attraction atop a scallop-edged circle (Circle Frames die set). Her paper selection is quite bodacious!

Inky Paws Challenge #245 Week 4

and Arctic Blue

She uses the Fractured Card Layout die to add the Arctic Blue color and finishes with a sentiment on a banner using the Banner Trio die set.

Crystal O. Minkler creates a spectacular background in analogous colors using the Mugs stencil. She continues her use of greens and yellows with the latte cup that Newton is holding (Newton Loves Coffee stamp set).  Crystal uses the Circle Frames dies set and the Frames & Flags die set for her card design.  The fabulous colors and design makes this an amazing birthday card!


Oh cremini! I missed your birthday by Debbie features Fabulous Fungus and Garden Gnomes by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #mushroomcards, #gnomecards, #birthdaycards, #cardmaking
Debbie Owens features the little gnome (Garden Gnomes stamp set) on his big mushroom surrounded by more mushrooms from the Fabulous Fungus stamp set. She places them on a lightly distressed background and stamps the super fun sentiment.  The extra bit of jute adds a nice rustic touch!


Diane Morales creates this delicious masterpiece filled with yummy cupcakes.  On an oval-shaped base (Oval Frames die set), Diane uses the Cupcakes stencil set to create the pink and tan cupcakes.  The front and center is Newton with his paws in the frosting (Newton's Cupcake stamp and coordinating die set). Doesn't he look so sweet and innocent enjoying his birthday treat?  


Birthday wishes by Amy features Heartfelt Blooms, Heart Frames, and Banner Trio by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #shapedcards, #cardmaking
Amy Tollner creates this beautiful heart-shaped card using the Heart Frames die set.  She pairs it with the floral heart image from the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set.  Her beautiful and bright flowers are filled with the promise of spring.  For her sentiment, she adds a dimensional banner using a die from the Banner Trio die set. Until May flowers bloom, you can enjoy Amy's pretty ones!


Gnome-one deserves a better birthday than you by Claire features Fabulous Fungus, Gnome Garden, and Oval Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #birthdaycards, #gnomecards, #cardmaking
Claire Lamb is also featuring the little gnome from the Gnome Garden stamp and coordinating die set. For her card, she places him in a window card (Oval Frames die set) filled with lots of mushrooms from the Fabulous Fungus stamp and coordinating die set.  Her bright colors are a nice contrast to Deb's more rustic ones.  Fabulous fungus, indeed!

A delightful birthday card!

Dawn showcases the Flirty Flamingos (Retired) stamp and die set with this tall slimline card. She uses the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set to cut the pink and white striped background.  Then she adds hearts in different tropical papers as well as glittery paper.  She adds a splattering of flamingos from the retired Flirty Flamingos  stamp and die set and the die cut cheers sentiment (Cocktail Mixer die set).  All of this makes for a pretty in pink flamingo card filled with love!

What the cluck by Amy features Cluck, Banner Trio, Heart Frames & Circle Frames by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #chickencards, #cardmaking
Amy creates a shape card that is just amazing!  She features one of the roosters from the Cluck stamp set on a scallop-edged circle from the  Circle Frames die set. She then die cuts several hearts using the Heart Frames die set. She coordinates the colors to match the darling pattern paper.  She uses a die from the  Banner Trio  die set for her sentiment.  A very creative shape card to celebrate one's birthday!

You're just my type by Priscilla features My Type and Tumbling Hearts by Newton's Nook Designs; #inkypaws, #newtonsnook, #cardmaking, #valentinescards
Priscilla Joseph uses the Tumbling Hearts stencil to create a graphic background for the typewriter from the My Type stamp set. She coordinates a pattern paper that looks like it's been type written. The little piece of paper with 'You're just my type" typed on it looks like it's been pulled from the machine! So cute!

Kimberly's teal background and cascading hearts of different sizes is just darling!  She uses the Heart Frames die set to create her hearts as well as the Love & Meows paper pad. Her biggest heart has the image from the Heartfelt Meows stamp set. She lightly shades her kitties with red accents. A fabulous way to say, "Thank mew!"

Melissa creates this fabulous heart-shaped treat box that is filled with yummy goodies!  She uses the Heart Frames die set to create the bases and adds the fun paper from the Love & Meows paper pad. She cuts a circular tag using the Circle Frames die set and uses the little heart from this set to allow the paper to show through!  A fun ribbon with little hearts adds a perfect accent to this Valentine's box.  Nicely done!
