Inky Paws Challenge #253 Week 3

 

Happy June!

We are celebrating friends this month!

You have until Friday, June 26, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

Send a card to a friend! For this challenge, create a card to let a friend know you are thinking of them. Use your favorite colors and stamped images to create a friendship card for any season. Get well and encouragement cards are also allowed for this challenge theme.

Debbie Owens creates a fun friendship card in patriotic colors. She uses papers from the Stars & Stripes paper pack with a sentiment from the Happy 4th stamp set. She uses dies from the Circle Frames and the Frames & Flags die sets, and her star attraction is our beloved Newton from the Newton's 4th of July stamp set. A super cute card!

What do you do with your scrap papers?  You make a darling card like Kelly Santi does! She uses papers from the Lovely Hearts, the Christmas Basics, and the Birthday Time paper pads. She makes her layers using the Basic Frames and the Circle Frames die sets. She then showcases the puppies from the Spring Heights stamp and coordinating die set. The overall effect is total cuteness!

Inky Paws Challenge #252 Week 1

 

Let's get sketchy in May!



Use the sketch to create your next NND project.

You have until Friday, May 29, 2026 (Midnight, CST) to play along. Each DT member will pick a favorite project to showcase, AND one RANDOM entry will win a $20 store credit to Newton's Nook Design online shop!  The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.  Make sure you check the challenge rules page before you link up your project. 

Here's some inspiration.  

Get creative with this fun sketch. Use the center square to hold your favorite image or sentiment. Try using multiple colors or patterned papers for the layers behind it. Cards for any theme or occasion are welcome as long as they match the sketch. Don't forget you can turn the sketch sideways for more options

Her base panel has been die cut using the scallop-edged frame die from the Frames & Flags die set. Enjoying all this brilliant yellow is Newton from the Newton's Blooms stamp and coordinating die set in his pot of flowers!  So cheerful and fun!

She also uses this die set for her vellum panel and the Frames & Flags die set for her striped banner. Enjoying all those books is the sweet puppy from the Puppy's Reading List stamp set. The shelf of books is a great way to use the sketch's horizontal panel!

For her horizontal panel, she uses the Bookmark II die which adds the fun stitching. So very cute!

Inky Paws Challenge #221

Amy Tollner uses the Clouds and the Hills and Grass stencils to create her peaceful background scene which she die cuts using the zigzag frame die from the Frames and Tags die set. Enjoying this serene scene are little blue birds from the Birdhouse Greetings and coordinating die set.
