   Welcome to a new Inky Paws Challenge!

This challenge is a

Colors Challenge

Use the colors-Black, Pink, Green, and Gray.

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20 store credit to our Newton's Nook Design online shop! We will also highlight our favorites from each challenge the following Monday so all entries have a chance to be featured on this blog! 

You have TWO WEEKS to play along - Deadline to enter is Friday, August 12, 2022 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

Amy Tollner combines the pink striped paper from the Summertime paper pad with the ever fla-mazing image from the Flamingo Oval stamp set.  Both were die cut using dies from the Oval Frames die set.  For even more interest, she die cuts a flower and leaf from the Slimline Frames & Portholes die set.  Love it!

Claire Lamb is showcasing products from NND's 9th birthday release.  Using the Bokeh Balloons stencil set, Claire fills the top of her card with pink balloons as well as a layer of shimmery ones!  Nice!  She adds the celebrating mice from the  Birthday Mice stamps and die set.  Don't you love how she adds the glow of the candles on the their heads?  Her final touch is embossing the sentiment on a black banner using a die from the Banner Trio die set.  

 Debbie Owens uses the challenge colors to create a feel-good card!  She begins with a polka dotted embossed background with green polka dotted paper (A Cat's Life paper pad) added at two corners.  She adds the heart of cute kittens from the Heartfelt Meows stamp set with layers die cut using the Heart Frames die set. Her sentiment was added to the rounded-corner banner from the Banner Trio die set.  How could this not send Paw-sitive vibes to the recipient?  

Diane Morales was also inspired to use the Flamingo Oval stamp set with the challenge colors.  She adds a gray background using papers from the Love & Meows paper pad.  Instead of an A2 rectangular card, Diane opts to use the Oval Frames die set to create an oval card.  Love it!

Sue T.'s card is going to be a fave for all those coffee lovers out there!  She begins by creatively using the Retro Sun & Palms stencil set to create the background.  She then adds a trio of coffee mugs filled with the cutest cacti using the Cuppa Cactus stamp and die set. Don't you love the geometric patterns on this card?  Fabulously done, Sue!

#15 Erin Carpenter designs this fun beach scene with watery waves using the Sea Borders die set. She uses two water fowls--sea gulls from the Gull Friends stamp and die set and flamingos from the Flirty Flamingos stamp and die set (Retired).  Such a lovely, peaceful scene!

Inky Paws Challenge #178 Favorites

Sue's FAVE

Mary-Anne V. uses one of Sue's favorite stencil sets (Retro Sun & Palm Trees stencil set) in a very unique and amazing way. The beautiful colors in the background paired with the copper embossing makes for a gorgeous summer card.  You can almost feel the heat coming off this beach scene!

Amy's FAVE

Papierelle makes a card that is filled with kitten playfulness!  Combining cats from the Kitten Beach and the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp sets, this is a purr-fect beach scene. Plus look at how she colors her water to make it feel like it is moving!  

Claire's FAVE

Fikreta creates such a tranquil beach scene. Then she pairs the lovable Corgi from the Corgi Beach stamp set and Newton with his surfboard from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set.  These two look so good together!  Wonderfully done, Fikreta!

Debbie's FAVE

Debbie Frank uses a trio of piglets from the Oink stamp set and sets them in a fabulous beach scene.  Squeal! Who knew these pigs would look so darn cute enjoying a day at the beach!  Such a creative idea!  She also adds interest by pulling papers from the Summertime paper pad.  

Diane's FAVE

Helen F. shows amazing creativity with limited summer-themed NND products.  She creates a beach scene in which her lady from the Sips & Stories stamp set can enjoy looking out while sipping a cup of coffee.  She adds amazing details to make this an amazing beach bungalow including a kite from the Delightful Doxies stamp set and flip-flops using the Beach Bum Thongs freebie.  Such a relaxing scene!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Sue T makes every day a beach day with this adorable card featuring the kitty in the hammock from the Aloha Newton Stamp Set. She added a sunset behind the image using the Retro Sun and Palms Stencil Set. The scalloped edge on the frame was die cut using our Frames & Flags Die Set.

Amy Tollner created this adorable slimline card with the cute corgi pups from the Corgi Beach Stamp Set. She cut the pups out using the coordinating Corgi Beach Die Set and layered them over square scenes that were stenciled using the Slimline Masking Circle and Squares Stencil Set. The scalloped edge was cut using the Slimline Frames and Portholes Die Set and she added fun glittery to the sand too!

Claire Lamb also created a slimline layout for her beach card today. She also used the Slimline Masking Squares & Circles Stencil Set  to create little square senes and layered waves onto them using the Waves & Splashes Stencil! How fun! She then added the adorable kittens using the Kitten Beach stamps and dies on each side of the scene!

 Debbie Owens created a beach scene in gorgeous hues of pink and blue. She used the Clouds Stencil for the pink cloudy sky and used the Sea Borders Die Set To create the shoreline. The two kitties are from the Newton's Perfect Wave Stamp Set and she added in a beach bag and seashells using images from  the Summer Moments Stamp Set. The sentiment was added into onto a bubble from the Speech Bubbles Die Set.

Diane Morales created this a fun tag for her challenge project! She features the pups from the Beach Barks Stamp Set, coloring them in fun beachy colors and cutting them out with the Beach Barks Die Set. The tag was die cut using the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and she added a sentiment inside a shape from the Framework Die Set. The blue and white stripes give it such a fun beach vibe!

Sue T. presents the scarier side of going to the beach with her favorite stamp set--Shark Bites stamp and die set! These cute critters with sharp teeth look great in the teal waves made using the Grass & Hills stencil.  Sue adds her sentiment on a speech bubble using the Speech Bubbles die set.  So fun!

Amy Tollner creates layers of beach fun beginning with bubbly water paper from the Summertime paper pad. She then creates a sunset scene using the Retro Sun & Palms stencil. She die cuts her background using the postage-edge die from the Framework die set.  Guess who is enjoying this fabulous scene? Those two sweet puppies from the Beach Barks stamp and die set.  For added fun, Amy adds a pail from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp and die set.  

Claire Lamb's beach scene is filled with vehicles from the Beach Bound stamp and die set laden with surfing gear!  To create her beach scene she uses the Sea Borders and the Land Borders die sets and adds subtle palm trees to her background using the Palm Tree Line stencil.  Surf's up!

Debbie Owens uses papers from the Summertime paper pad to create her background scene.  She creates waves using the Sea Borders die set and adds a partly sunny sky using the Sky Scene Builder die set. She cuts her layers using the Frames Squared die set.  To enjoy this scene, she adds the darling duo from the Beach Barks stamp set.  Her sentiment is pulled from the Dog Days of Summer.  This definitely brings a smile!

Diane Morales creates a darling tag using scraps of blue papers stamped with the waves stamp from the Shark Bites stamp. She adds the great white shark from the same set and its coordinating die set.  The puppy from the Corgi Beach stamp and die set seems to be enjoying his day unbeknownst to the danger lurking behind him!  Yikes!

Avra brings summertime freshness with all those bright, yellow lemons from the Lemon Twist stamp set. The added pink blossoms look wonderful as does the slice of lemon on the corner! We just love the unique take on the sketch!  Fabulous job, Avra!

Sue's FAVE 

Dandi93 creates a super clever CAS card by having her sloth from the Slothy Christmas stamp set hanging off the diagonal of the sketch!  She keeps the card simple and clean by stamping the sentiment at the bottom.  This is so cute, Irene!

Amy's FAVE

Melissa showcases the paper from the A Cat's Life paper pad speCATularly!  She adds twine at the corner to make her kitten (Cat Silhouettes die set) look like she is pulling it down!  I know!  So clever, Melissa!

Claire's FAVE

#22 Debbie Frank is showcasing the Summertime paper pad. She pulls several designs that work purr-fectly with the kitten from the Newton's Kite stamp and die set.  The ability to mix and match papers with the different stamp sets makes for the most adorable cards!  Thanks, Debbie, for this bright, brilliant card!

Jane P. creates an amazing card using the vintage pick-up truck from the Farming Fun stamp and die set. She uses a patriotic color scheme that works amazingly with her blue truck.  Don't you love how she stamps the white trucks on blue paper?  Great work, Jane!

Today I'm sharing some more inspiration for our current challenge! 

Diane Morales uses papers from the Summertime paper pad to showcase her yummy, frozen treats from the Summer Scoops stamp and die set. To make this delicious card, she also uses several die sets: Circle Frames die set for the pink circle, Frames Squared die set for the decorative-edged square, and A7 Frames & Banners die set for the little banner.  Scrumptious!

Sue T. pairs the Tulips stamp and die set with the tulip-pattern paper from the Springtime paper pad. Stamping the tulips on the base card is a creative way to use the sketch and add dimension to her floral garden!  So pretty!

Amy Tollner pairs the ukulele-playing kitten from the Aloha Newton stamp and die set with bright, tropical papers from the Summertime paper pad. She stamps the sentiment on a banner made using the Frames & Flags die set. Doesn't this look like a tropical paradise?

Claire Lamb creates a amazing CAS card using the lounging lady from the Summer Moments stamp and die set with the rays of sunshine behind her. These were made using the Sunscape stencil. What a relaxing scene!

 Debbie Owens also goes with a beach theme. For her card, she has Newton from the Newton's Perfect Wave stamp set catching a big wave. She adds texture to her water using the Sea Borders die set, and she uses the  Clouds stencil for her cloudy sky. On the beach, she adds seashells (Summer Moments stamp set), a pail of sand (Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set), and a little red crab (Tides of Love stamp set). She stamps a sentiment from the Beach Bound stamp set on a banner using the Banner Trio die set.  Pulling the small elements from various sets can add such fun details to any scene!
