Inky Paws Challenge #39 Reminder--Use a Heart!

Today I have some more inspiration for this Challenge! 

Debbie Owens made a heart-themed card using the sweet Dachshunds from Darling Duos and the coordinating die Darling Hearts Die Set. What a delightful card for a dog-loving friend!

Jess Gerstner made a simple set valentines using Party Pops. Some selective stamping allows the little heart to pop.

Heart Theme Challenge

Create a project using a Heart somewhere on it!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome cards they created, inspired by this fun, festive theme! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Debbie Owens made a card that incorporates the theme and the colors from the photo. She used the squirrel and nut from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set to create this super cute love card.

This card is by Samantha Mann! This fun lemur is from the Wild About Zoo stamp set and the die is from the Darling Hearts Die Set. Such a pretty love themed card.

Tatiana Trafimovich created this beautiful winter scene! She used the adorable snowmen from the Frozen Friends stamp set to create this sweet winter card.

This card is by Jess Gerstner! The pie and sentiments are from the Love à La Carte stamp set and the solid hearts are from other NND sets. This is a clean and simple Valentine that would be easy to mass produce. 

Here's a card by Jennifer Jackson! She used the image of the two dogs Darling Duos stamp set and the coordinating Darling Hearts Die Set to create this adorable Valentine.

Welcome to our NEW Inky Paws Challenge Blog

Welcome to our BRAND NEW blog! 

It's a New Year and we're excited to bring some fun new changes to our Inky Paws Challenge! All our challenges will now be hosted RIGHT HERE on this awesome new blog!

Our first challenge will begin on Monday, Jan. 16th and going forward they will be held twice a month - with a new challenge starting on the first and third Monday of each month! How fun is that? That's twice as many challenges and twice as many chances to play along!!

We also have two awesome ladies to help us with our challenges! Jess Gerstner and Debbie Owens will be our challenge leads for the next six months and will alternate running the challenges! You can read about the them here ;)

We hope you will be inspired to play along. I've moved all the old challenges over here as well so you can scroll through those to find inspiration!

Our first Top Pick is by Vicki at Stamp Smiles! We love the scene she created with our Serene Silhouettes and Whispering Pines stamp sets. The teal blue sky really pops off the green card base with the green and red plaid!

We love how she used the color combo to color all those adorable sweaters on Winston, Lily and the fox from our Sweater Weather stamp set. Inky Paws #38 Favorites

We also wanted to share a couple more entries that we really loved! We chose THREE more as our favorite picks! If you see your card below, contact us if you'd like to get a "favorite" badge for your blog!

This card by Zsofi at Safsafdesign is so lovely! The red and teal colored Christmas ornament from the Ornamental Newton set is so pretty! We also loved the polka dot paper she used that has green, red and teal polka dots - the perfect colors to match the challenge! 

This card by Kathy really caught our eyes! The way she gave the kitty from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set a fun red and green mug and a santa hat is so cute! The way she added Happy Holidays inside an ornament shape is super fun and she also found paper in the perfect colors to match this challenge!

This card by Diane Morales made us smile! We love how she used the shark from our Shark Bites stamp set and gave him a scarf to make it into a holiday theme! She also used the fun wreath from the Happy Little Thoughts stamp set! Such a clever combo of stamps!

This sweet winter card by Yukari features our bunny, Lily, dressed in a Christmas colored sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the color combo on the sweater, leaving the bunny white and added a bunch of fun mittens in the background too! The "Season of Joy" sentiment is from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set. 

Samantha used the fun color combo on this card featuring Winston driving his car full of gifts from the Winston's Home for Christmas stamp set. She used the red and green on the car, gift and trees and added the teal as a watercolor background on white paper! 

Kimberly created this adorable card by embossing the trees from our Festive Forest stamp set in white over red cardstock! She added in the "Thank you" from our Vegetable Garden stamp set and a just a little pop of teal!

This sweet fireplace scene by Larissa uses red and green on the rug and fireplace swag while keeping a white card base. Then she added some teal in the background to help this lovely scene op off the card! This sweet image is from our Fireside Friends stamp set.  

Jess created a flurry of snowflakes from our Beautiful Blizzard stamp set using the chosen color combo! I love how pretty this looks! She added an extra pop of teal up the sides too! 

This gorgeous wreath shaker card by Naki uses the color combo in the form of sequins inside the shaker! She also used the red and green on the wreath which was made with our Pines & Holly Die Set, and added an extra pop of teal with a teal tag using our new Joyful Tags stamp set! Such a fun card! 

This cute forest scene by Danielle features our cute kitty in a sweater from the Sweater Weather Stamp set! She used the green, red, and teal on the sweater, leaving the kitty white! So cute! 

This card by Stephanie features our adorable doxie from the Holiday Hounds stamp set twisted up in some holiday lights! She kept her color palette focused on the red green and white with just little teal accents!

Here is another lovely snowflake card using the color combo with  Beautiful Blizzard stamp set. Crafty Math-Chick created this one, using white for the base and added the snowflakes in the other colors of the challenge! I love the simplicity of this with the added sequins for a bit of bling! 

Here's one created by me! I used Winston dressed in his sweater from the new Sweater Weather stamp set and colored his sweater using the color combo! The colors really pop off the white card base!

Our second Top Pick is this awesome plaid card by Jen Wills! If you look closely you can see that even the dog is plaid! Wow! So subtle and so pretty! She used the dachshund and sentiment from the Holiday Hounds stamp set.

This sweet coffee card by KT Fit Kitty is so adorable! We love how she paper pierced the coffee mug wrap to coordinate with the plaid on the background! She used our Newton Loves Coffee stamp set and the "meow" from our Newton Unwinds Die set.  

 Karen Baker created her own interpretation of plaid using the frame from our  Garden Starter stamp set. It's so cool how she overlapped the frame with different colors to create this plaid look! The added sunflower is from the Flower Garden stamp set and the banner is cut out with the Garden Window Die set. 

One more favorite - this tag by Vicki is so gorgeous! We love how colored the pup onto kraft paper and added a plaid paper-pierced sweater! The subtle brown plaid behind him adds the perfect touch too!  She used our  the Holiday Hounds stamp set to create this lovely Fall tag!

Here's some inspiration!

Several of our Design Team Members decided to play along - check out all the awesome PLAID cards they created! Read the description below each card to see who made it.

Samantha created a plaid background for her card using masks and inks! So cool! She created the city using images from the Newton Dreams of New York  and Newton Dreams of London stamp sets and the sleigh and sentiment are from the Newton's Curious Christmas stamp set. 

Larissa created a sweet little shaker card with a fun plaid border! She used images from the Bushels of Love stamp set (Simon Says Stamp Exclusive). Adorable!

Naki created a fun fall thank you card using plaid paper and letters! She added in pumpkins cut out with the Pick-a-Pumpkin Die Set. That stitched ribbon is so pretty too!

Yuki created a duo of adorable dog cards using dogs from our Canine Christmas stamp set with fun plaid backgrounds. The color combo on these cards of black, red, kraft and white is one of my favorites for Holiday cards!

Danielle added plaid paper in fall colors to create this fun card! The angles of paper in the background are so fun! Winston from the Winston's Birthday stamp set really pops off the card! 

I pulled out one of my favorite christmas images, Winston driving a car laden with holiday goodies from the Winston's Home for Christmas Stamp Set. I colored the image with watercolors and then added plaid paper along with some black chalkboard style washi tape. I finished it off with the sentiment "have a beary merry christmas" embossed in white on a black circle.
