Inky Paws Challenge #20 - SKETCH Challenge

This month's challenge is to a Create a project using the sketch below! 

Are you ready to get your paws inky with us and play along to win a prize? The Challenge winner will receive a $10 store credit to our online store and a Inky Paws Challenge Top Pick Badge to add to your blog! If we get more than 15 participants, we will choose two winners so be sure to tell your friends to play along! 

You have two weeks to play along. Deadline to enter is Friday, May 8th, 2015 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog on Monday, March 9th.

Are you ready to play along and get your paws inky?
  • Create a NEW project (card or other paper craft item).
  • Your project MUST use at least one Newton's Nook Designs stamped image (or free digital stamp - check out our Freebies page).
  • Post your project to your blog or to an online photo gallery such as Flickr Pinterest, or splitcoaststampers (on splitcoast please use keywords newtonsnook and IPC20).
  • Link back to this challenge (if posting in an online gallery copy the link into the photo description). 
  • Submit your project to this challenge using the InLinkz widget below. You must submit a DIRECT link to your post page.
  • Have more than one great idea? You can enter more than once! Just link up each card separately.

This adorable card by Melissa made us smile - we love how the pig is flipping across that fun watercolor background! So Adorable! The stamps she used are from the Farmyard Friends stamp set. 

Kitty and Cheese card by Anja | Inky Paws #19 Watercolor Challenge at Newton's Nook Designs
We love the "spotlight" technique that Anja did on her card - using grays for most of the card and then spotlighting with bright colors inside the heart! What a fun idea!! She used the Just say Cheese and Newton's Antics stamp sets to create this card.

Cat's Meow cats one layer Card by Nina-Marie Design | Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs
This fun and colorful card by Nina-Marie Designs really caught our eye. We loved how she added the big MEOW behind the kitty in the box from the Newton's Antics stamp set and added some awesome paint splatter too. The coloring with the shading around the box really adds some dimension to the one layer card too!

Thinking of you cats one layer Card by Cat Craig | Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs
This sweet and simple card by Cat Craig was also a favorite! I love the coloring of the kitties from the Newton's Antics stamp set on the kraft cardstock. The way she added a fun shape with a white pen was was such a neat idea to add some dimension to a one-layer card!

Our final favorite from this challenge is this bright and colorful card by Emily Lauritzen. The way she did creative stenciling with arrows pointing the kitty is so fun! She also used the kitty in the box from our Newton's Antics stamp set.

Lydia got some extra mileage out of some fall themed stamps for this spring card! She used the spooky tree from the Spooky Street Halloween set and the dots from the Falling into Autumn stamp set to created the fun leaves. Then she added the sentiment from the Newton's Daydream stamp set.

Here is a fun and playful one layer card is by Crafty Math-Chick! She even added fur to the koala from the Hanging Around stamp set. I also love the mint green circle she sponged around the words!

Easeter Wishes card by Larissa Heskett | Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs
Larissa created this fun one-layer scene with lots of creative masking (although she did break the rules a bit by mounting it on another piece of cardstock -lol!)  She combined stamps from Bunny HopVersatile Vases, Winter Tails and Newton's Daydream.  What an adorable scene! 

Heartfelt Floral one layer card by Jennifer Jackson | Love Grows Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs
Here was my try at a one-layer card. I stamped the flowers from the Love Grows stamp set and used the "heartfelt" from the Simply Sentimental stamp set. I added a bit of watercolor flicked onto it to add texture!

We really loved this adorable card by Heidi! We loved how she mixed the "love you" & "mom" from our Love Grows stamp set with the sweet little penguin pair from the Wild Child stamp set! What a fun pairing! We also loved the watercolor in the heart - so pretty! 
The next two favorites are both awesome clean and simple cards and use our raccoon image - We couldn't decide which we liked better since they were so lovely - so we picked both!Clean and Simple Raccoon Love Card by Karen Mead | Stamps by Newton's Nook Designs
We really loved this Clean and Simple card by Karen using the cute raccoon from the Sweetheart Tails stamp set. The clean style is so striking - and the subtle hearts on the grey stripe are a fun detail!
