Inky Paws Challenge #106 Winners

Thanks so much to everyone who entered our last Inky Paws Challenge at here at
the Newton's Nook Designs blog! This Biweekly Challenge was a Theme Challenge.

Inky Paws Challenge #106  Winner!
We've chosen one RANDOM winner using random.org to receive a $20 Store Credit to Newton's Nook Designs!

Happy Halloween by Amanda features Autumn Mice by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Amanda Wilcox demonstrates how to stretch one's NND stamp sets. She begins her Halloween-themed card with an orange polka-dotted pattern paper. She then adds 4 small rectangles with a spiderweb pattern. She creates a black circle and pops it up with foam tape.  She adds a green banner with the sentiment.  She then stamps and colors the mouse and pumpkins from the Autumn Mice stamp and die set. She then hand draws faces on her pumpkins thereby turning an autumn stamp set into a Halloween one!  Her splattering of stars and sequins adds a nice touch of bling!  Spook-tacular!

Congrats to Amanda! Don't forget to send us an e-mail at info@newtonsnookdesigns.com to claim your $20 store credit! (It's easiest if you already have an account set up in our shop)

Inky Paws Challenge #106 Favorites

Our Inky Paws Challenge Inspiration team has chosen a few of their favorite challenge entries from this challenge! If you see your card below, contact us if you'd like to get a "favorite" badge for your blog!

Debbie's FAVE
Eat, drink, and be scary by Mugdha features Newton Scoots By by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Mugdha caught our eye with her night sky in shades of purple and her creative use of the kitty on his orange scooter from the Newton Scoots By stamp set. She has her kitty driving through a graveyard with tall gray grass with a haunted house in the background.  So cute and clever!

Diane's FAVE
Best witches by Paula features Witchy Newton and Clouds Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Paula M.'s use of nontraditional Halloween colors makes her card really stand out. Using the Clouds Stencil she creates her sky in purples teals, and oranges. She then adds black grass on which she white embosses the sentiment from the Witchy Newton stamp set. She then adds the kitty image from the same stamp set and colors in purple, teal and orange. She adds some black bats in the sky.  A very striking card!

Sue's FAVE
A birthday brew just for you by Bunny features Newton Loves Coffee by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Bunny creates a perfect card for someone who has a Halloween birthday!  She begins by selecting a grid-like pattern paper in bright Halloween colors. For her center panel, she adds a zigzag pattern paper at the bottom and a black scored paper at the top.  She adds a white stripe on which she stamps the sentiment from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set.  Don't you love how "brews" becomes punny when used on a Halloween card? She then adds her cute kitty peeking up at his coffee mug, again, from the Newton Loves Coffee stamp set. She finishes with a spiderweb in the upper corner.  Super fun and clever!

Becky's FAVE
Boo by Mary features Candy Corn, Fence, Newton Unwinds, Land Borders, Forest Scene Builder, and Frames & Flags by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Mary Reiner shows us her creativity by turning ordinary candy corn from the Candy Corn stamp set into garland hanging from the gray fence she die cut using the Fence die set. She uses the kitty with his ball of twine from the Newton Unwinds stamp and die set as the means for hanging up the candy corn. She adds grass using the Land Borders die set and black trees using the Forest Scene Builder die set. She places her whole scene upon a black scallop-edged border using the Frames & Flags die set. She die cuts her sentiment in black letters for her finishing touch!

Bobbi's FAVE
Boo by Keven features Sweater Weather by Newton's Nook Designs; #newtonsnook
Kevin Bray uses the darling bear from the Sweater Weather stamp and die set to create this fabulously designed Halloween card!  He uses a sunburst stencil and Distress Ink to create the orange and yellow background. He adds the letters B and O in black and white.  Love how he used the bear for the other letter O.  A great way to stretch one's stamps!

Thank you for playing!
